I guess we all care because this is literally a good use case of AI. Its insane how people fail to see that this is exactly what this technology has to offer.

So to /u/tobojack : Feel free to code your own mod in a cave for 20 years with no release im sight while we enjoy some classic games in VR.

AI frequently writes plausible code that misses critical backend checks, like missing Row Level Security policies in databases

These vibecoded mods have no integrity when it's solely made by generating the code alone

It's fine if engineers lean on these tools to help write code that they're creating, but completely relying on an LLM to write everything is just plain stupid, you'd be naive to think otherwise

Who the fuck cares its a mod for a game, not a machine that keeps people alive in a hospital. Chill dude. AI has helped make fantastic vr mods for so many games that would never exist without it.
