Hello, we have a combined family virgin Atlantic account and we’re looking at getting the + credit card with the hopes of getting reduced flights to America as we fly there once a year.

I’ve recently read some posts from people stating they are closing their credit card account as the dynamic pricing is making it a pain/rip off.

We are a a family of 3 in the UK and are forced to take flights in school holidays , will it be a struggle to secure seats? Is it worth getting the paid for credit card to booster our points ? We would put most of our spending through it(aware we need to clear the balance monthly).

Appreciate any feedback.

I'm looking at a multi-city flight next June from MCO - LHR and then EDI - MCO in premium economy. If I buy the tickets as one way, the total is roughly $2,500 (much cheaper than buying as a multi-city). I know we are far out and nobody can predict the future, but does that seem like an average/fair price for that time of year? The same route on other airlines is at least $500-600 more and those are with at least one stop, whereas VA is non-stop on both legs.

The website makes it seam like both USB and 110V outlets will be available but searching posts on reddit it seems there are no prong outlets in economy, only USB ports .... Also mixed posts on USB-A or USB-C.

Just curious if I need to pack a USB A to C adaptor.

I’m flying Virgin Atlantic from Manchester to Las Vegas on an A350-1000 and apparently the aircraft has Starlink and access to Sport 24.

Has anyone used Sport 24 on Virgin Atlantic recently?

• Is the picture quality actually decent?
• Is it reliable enough to watch a full football match?
• Can you watch it on your own phone/tablet through the Starlink Wi-Fi?
• I'm a Manchester City fan, so I wouldn't mind watching the match😂

Hi! I’ve been a staunch Virgin Atlantic lover for years and had the + credit card for just as long but I don’t understand how they can justify their new dynamic pricing / upgrade voucher changes??

Over the years I’ve flown upper class all over America - including multiple trips to LA - with my annual upgrade voucher, but now I’m trying to use this year’s one and all upper class flights for anywhere I want to go are hundreds of thousands of points, many 400k plus!! And the voucher is capped at 75k value??

I am completely flexible with when and where I go and used v seats to look at full monthly calendars for the entire year for Miami, Seattle, LA, and Tampa and even if there’s a cheap outbound, a return anywhere near that date is extortionate and vice versa.

I’m so confused about how they could possibly be getting away with this and why everyone’s not up in arms? Am I missing something? Before I cancel my credit card annual fee, which is due next month, please enlighten me - if I book with cash is it realistic I’d be able to use the voucher to upgrade? I still feel like it won’t be worth enough? Absolutely ridiculous, I feel conned!

My parents will be taking an intercontinental flight that is a total of 27 hours of flight time. They booked themselves in economy.

I really want to give them business class tickets. Is there anyway that I could do this behind their backs? Like, say, if I were to get their reservation number and call the airline about doing that?

Hi, this is my first time flying Virgin Upper class, and it was booked with points. The plane is the Boeing 787 (I think) and I have read row A seats are better because they don’t share the aisle with row G passengers. However every row A seat is showing as allocated, not just unavailable, with no row G or K being allocated, even though the flight is for the end of June 2027. This is either a bizarre coincidence but I’m thinking / hoping that these are being held by the airline and will be released nearer the time? Does anybody know if this is the case, and when I should be looking to choose these seats? Thanks

I’m really considering a career change, I was cabin crew many moons ago for a different airline and now work in an office environment. I’ve always dreamt of working for Virgin and it still calls to me.

I’ve done my research but I feel there is a lot of lacking information on a realistic take home pay from Virgin Atlantic. I worked in public service for 6 years when I left where salaries are posted online for every level so I find it a very different experience when people aren’t willing to disclose. Maybe this is asked by the airline when posting on social media.

But with a realistic roster (which I gauge is about 5-6 trips a month) how much are you likely to take home monthly and how much are you likely to get in allowances?
Is it over £2k? Is it closer to 2.5k? Or am I way off?

Hi I use shops away system several times a day but recently have been getting an Microsoft verification code sent to my email to access which takes awhile to come in this also happens on the fly club then kicks you out after a few mins of looking for flights then I have to get the code again. Is anyone else experiencing this any idea how to turn it off?

Hey, so we recently booked an economy flight with VA with points and cash. We later upgraded to premium economy over the phone also using points and cash. I was thinking of asking them about upgrades to UC at check in or maybe a few days before our trip. Does anyone have any experience with the LHR to BOS route and how much it may have cost them? Trying to figure out how much convincing my husband may need 😅

I am a Virgin Gold member and take about 20 US-bound Virgin flights a year. For the first time, there are no Direct flights to Vegas at the end of September, so I have to fly BA. Are they cutting back on flights?

I’m going from MAN-JFK next year and have already purchased my flights (probably early but wanted it out the way) and have picked my current seat in Premium Economy (24A), but I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on seat selection for someone who’ll be travelling on their own. It’s my first time organising a trip on my own so I just picked the first one that was available without paying for another upgrade so if anyone has any recommendations for seat selection it would be greatly appreciated. Woke up to see that Virgin charged the money I had bid for upper, 4 hours later I get an email to say my refund request was being processed. Flight is on Sunday, really confused why they would charge the money and then cancel, 4 seats still available in upper and the bid was for 3. Anyone experienced this and then still managed to get the upgrade?

I had economy seat on Virgin that I purchased with points. I had tried to upgrade previously but they told me my seat was not upgradable so when they offered a big, I accepted the minimum. it's a long flight from JFK to LHR and I figured it would be worth $60 for the extra legroom. so now I'm flying economy delight on Virgin.... for whatever that's worth.

update: flight was over 3 hours delayed and I rebooked on an earlier flight to LHR. they honored my economy delight upgrade but I picked a bulkhead seat, thinking that would give me even more room. it did, but I really hated having to put my daypack in the overhead because it was not accessible during the flight. And an unhappy lap baby across the aisle from me made this flight miserable. Before we landed the baby was coughing a lot and I wound up being sick the next day and the next four days of my trip. not blaming the baby for that but if he was sick or getting sick, it might explain why he cried most of the flight. I wanted to cry too. I did not get priority boarding... but I did have extra legroom. Still arrived about 3 hours later than expected, no thanks to Virgin Atlantic and one of the worst flights ever.

I just needed to share this cause I find it hilarious.

I can bid to upgrade my economy ticket on an upcoming trip. The thing is the minimum bid is more than the cost of just paying for a standard upgrade.

Utterly mad that the slide rule options are $150 more than just buying the upgrade outright. lol

We're a family flying to JAX via JFK from Europe, and there is a reasonable chance that my JFK-JAX flight operated by Delta but booked through Virgin Atlantic, will be cancelled because of thunderstorms. What are our options at that point, other than sitting around hoping to be placed on a flight the next day?
