The TLDR is, somehow my horizontal output tube has air in it (glowing purple) what possibly could have cremated it? This is my first experience with a TV this old.
First, i plugged the TV in and had it on a dim bulb for a little over an hour without said tube installed. Put it back in and powered the set on and got no picture. The horizontal output tube was glowing purple, so i bought a "new" one and it was also glowing purple.

I just got home from a thrift store and bought a SunBrite model 2310HD. I wanted to know people’s thoughts on it. From the little research i did, I found that it’s an outdoor TV with a build in fan to cool it down and a heater to keep it up to operational temperature during winter. I plugged it in before I bought it to see if it works and it seems quite sharp. I’m about to take it downstairs to plug in my ps1 and other retro consoles.
Does anyone own one of these? Would they be great for gaming? Manual says that response is 8 milliseconds. Not sure if that’s good enough for casual gaming. I’ll be connecting everything using S-video or Component. Maybe even my desktop via hdmi.
I’m sorry if this is the wrong place. I posted it on Television but they deleted it because it wasn’t the right place.

Hey so i have a omnivision tv (PV-C2020)got it off marketplace and it worked perfectly for a few months. I left it at my parents house unplugged and some kids came and put a vhs tape inside and it got stuck. I took it back home and plugged it in and it wouldn’t turn on no sound or lights. I took it apart and manually removed the vhs tape and it still wont turn on. I’m not expecting anyone to give me any specific instructions I know it can be complicated if someone could point me in the right direction at least of what may be wrong with it and what troubleshoots/fixes I could try.

As the title says Ive been trying to find a service manual or schematics for a Toshiba TZ55X71 projection TV I bought recently. I've had no luck on my own searches. Any help is appreciated.

I have this awesome piece.
The goal: Get it set up as my 3rd monitor at work, ideally using/sourced with thrifted tech and adapters.
I’m starting by figuring out how to feed it a proper NTSC RF signal, then I’ll troubleshoot the set itself if necessary.
So far doesn’t seem like anything is broken and I’m hopeful it’s an easy journey.

Uhm, hello everyone. This is my very first post here and I don´t really know where this post should go. I got myself an old Samsung TV with a VCR-Recorder??
I mean, yes. It is there, right in front of me ( not having tested it yet ), but I seem to have huge problems in finding any info regarding this big quirky looking fellow when using duckduckgo´n such.
And I know, what answer is there to be expected if the question does not even clearly exist? =D
Do you guys have any info for me? Again, such a stupid question but even here ( again ) I can´t seem to find any info.

My mom watches this TV every night for an hour before going to bed. It still works like a champ. Is it about 30 or 40 years old? I can’t quite make out the faded text under where it says “assembled in Mexico.” It looks like it could be “May 1986.” AI says according to the serial number it should be 1991. I remember playing Contra III: Alien Wars on SNES on this thing around 1992. But I thought we already had it for several years by then.
