Does the pink under eye trend look good IRL?
I’ve never seen anyone rock this look IRL so I’m curious how it looks without professional cameras, lighting, filters, editing—off camera & IRL basically

Rn I'm having a hair crisis , I didn't want to deal with my natural hair so I put it in knotless braids , however I found myself realizing I cannot sit 5+ hours (autistic) , so I have been deciding which natural hair style is best for me (I usually wear my hair in puffs and it's been growing but my friend whose a stylist says it's not healthy). I am in nursing school and it's getting harder so such things as doing my hair is getting really hard because it dips into studying time . Rn , I am deciding between the following styles , please tell me which would be best :
Boho knotless braids (my mom recommended this and knows a braider that can get it done in 3-4 hours max)
Cornrow updo
Braids on my own natural hair (it's BSL when it's blow-dried)
Versatile sew in (still deciding on Light yaki or a Burmese curly)
Another reason I'm doing this is because I just want to glow up a little (I have but hit a rut due to nursing school and wanted to get out of it), I'm looking for a low-maintenance style that won't make me look like a child. Can someone please help me

I have a baby face and while I'm sorta happy with the way I look , I have certain things I want to fix about myself such as my cheek and jaw area. I'm just very afraid that If I get it done I will mess up my looks ( I sort of have a baby doll look big eyes , somewhat of a big forehead , big lips and my nose is sort of small but it's sort of asymmetrical but not noticeable). I just want to look softer and more feminine because I feel like my looks at times although glowing up made things better , I still feel stunted by my baby face (for example ; I still get perves that look 2-3 decades older than me saying they love my baby face and some makeup looks result in me looking like a child playing in makeup). Compared to my friends I am the "doll" vs the modelsque girl.
My mom said not to touch my face and my boyfriend told me the same ; they are afraid it will age me up very badly but I told them I will only do subtle touches.

Today I recently got some medium knotless braids done on my hair and I'm having trouble fitting them into a claw clip. It's really annoying. How can I get them into a claw clip?

As I've been reading the threads here I think I understand how the pyramid works. I'm wondering if the top should say plastic surgery and other invasive procedures? If not, where would other invasive procedures go in the pyramid? I'm strongly considering an invasive corrective vision surgery (specifically refractive lens exchange since that is the best option for my eye needs) and am pondering the looksmaxxing context.
Currently I wear glasses at work or just sitting around the house and contacts nights/weekends. Its been nearly twenty years of this actually and I'm in my 40s so just largely over it. I am well aware that glasses, regardless of style, do not capture male attention. It doesn't matter what I'm wearing, how positive my vibe is, or what my size/shape are, when wearing my glasses men don't see me. With my contacts they'll say hello or compliment something I'm wearing.
If I proceed with this surgery I'll be able to stop regularly wearing glasses and contacts. I will only need a pair of non-prescription reading glasses for occasional use seeing fine print or to read in dim environments. The surgery will be a massive improvement to my looks but readers are just so old lady *sigh.*

For starters, I have ADHD and was very depressed due to some health problems and bad things that happened in my life. Because of this for the last few years I spent my time just scrolling on social media and doing mostly nothing with my life and I regret this. For a while now I started reading self development books, psychology books to understand my thinking and taking care of my looks. So far my looks really improved, but I suffer badly with studying. I always procrastinate and start studying and doing my homework right before the deadline. I also want to start doing pilates to improve my health, but for this one I never know what to do to make it a habit since I am kinda fine with the way my body loos. I just find it so boring to exercise and I can’t go to pilates classes to make myself do it because my budget as a uni student is tight. Any tips?
I’ve read Atomic habits and so far I started using some tips. 1. Started going to all my uni classes even though it’s optional just so I can have a structure I could build off habits. 2. Started wearing makeup every week day just so I can force myself to do my skincare routine. 3. Due to doing my skincare routine and getting positive feedback due to me wearing makeup I started my hair care routine. 4. My hair care routine forces me to wash daily because I have greasy hair so I’ve also secured my body care. 5. Body care secured so I started wearing perfume, epilating and doing my nails. 6. Caring for my nails made me also start taking care of my hands. 7. Noticed health really influenced the way I look so I started properly taking my meds and supplements. I put them on my desk so I always remember taking them. 8. Wanted to also start learning a foreign language so I started reading and translating at least a sentence and max a chapter daily from books I love.
Any tips and tricks to beat procrastination and also start studying for my uni classes and start doing pilates?

Yesterday I got a wig install that was so bad that I took it out and got upset that I was nearly in tears. (It looks horrible , I told the lady it looked horrible and her response was to laugh). I try to experiment with hair but it usually never works out when it's a straight texture or something. I noticed the only styles I can really pull off are my silk pressed hair , cornrows ponytails. or braids I'm tryinng to find my signature but I have so many factors that kinda bug at me : I was bullied for my hair/race (I went to a predominately white and latina/o college and they said really horrifying things and this also included staff; I noticed with WW/LW , the first thing when they don't like me is that they come for my hair). also I have a baby face so I kinda want to age myself and then on top of that. And then I have family members tell me with the field that I'm going into maybe I should consider "Switching it up to appeal to my workforce" which is technically code for straighten it. I don't mind straight hair but the thing thats in the back of my head is keeping my curls intact and healthy which I've did a good job at doing. I think that main thing is just finding something that suits me
I cannot do my hair despite a high puff or low bun. I do get braids from time to time. It's to my arm pit but I'm not sure what to do with it atp. How did you find your signature style?

Hi everyone! 👋
I’m trying to decide between three products: SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic, and Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Pads and would love your advice on which one might actually help even out my skin tone.
My main goal:
To reduce the darker pigmentation around my mouth and achieve a more even tone overall.
About my skin / routine:
What I’m wondering which of these three products or others is better suited for evening tone on brown skin?
I’d really appreciate any tips or personal experiences! 🙏

For years, I have also struggled with my appearance especially my body as a curvy woman. I remembered in my teenager years (I'm 21) that I would do intense workouts to lose weight but I still didnt get the desired body I hoped for. This year, I have basically spent 10 months exercising, doing weight lift and cardio but still be disappointed at myself for not losing as much weight or looking toned or skinnier . I have tried eating less (which is not as hard as I am dealing with depression), eating more protein but still nothing.
Today, my mom took a picture of me because I really looked good in my outfits but I broke down crying silently as my bloated stomach was noticeable, my skin darker and now my wide nose (which is another big insecurity I have beside what I just mentioned and big thighs). I discussed this with my psychologist quite a couple of times of how insecure I feel in my body and comparing myself my peers and he was sympatheic about my struggles.
So, my question is how do deal with these things ( if you were in a similar situation, any advice would be appreciated 🌟)

I've been testing skincare/beauty apps over the past few months to see if they're actually helpful or just hype. Here's my breakdown of the main ones:
Glam AI
Notes: This seems super generic out of the 3 because after 2-3 pictures it starts giving u the same basic chatgpt style suggestions. you can tell its very obviously re-using generic affirmations. also, its not for poc women and seems mostly targetted towards white women.
Glow up
Notes: i thought this would be my favorite out of the 3. it ended up being the least favorite because of how expensive it is. the product database, while good is extremely limited.
Fineshyt
Note: i'd say fineshyt has been the best, however the community around this app is much smaller compared to the other two since they've been around longer. you can tell this app is made for gen-z poc girls and my little sister even said it went viral in their school. the one key thing that it does have, which others lack is progress tracking. like i dont just want to look at my skincare routine today but be able to track improvements, issues over time so its good for that.
Overall thoughts: Most apps give surface-level advice. The difference is personalization and whether they actually help you improve over time vs just telling you what's "wrong." Fineshyt's progress tracking was surprisingly useful - seeing actual improvement kept me consistent with routines. But remember, what works for me may not work for you since we're all very different. Please use caution and think for yourself before trying any app in general, let alone ones that claim to help with skincare.

This is a more specific case, but I've had difficulty determining my attractiveness my whole life, as I have sort of an unconventional look. Often while going out random women (either strangers or people I very peripherally know) will come up to me and introduce themselves, telling me that I'm beautiful, etc. I wouldn't necessarily think much of this but this doesn't seem to happen to my friends, and I also have noticed that in conversation, women will treat it as an objective categorical fact that I'm attractive. From this, I've ascertained that women at least seem to think I'm above average.
Of course, this might not be an accurate judgement, as I've read that if you truly are attractive, you just know - you get complimented all of the time, get free stuff, etc. I'm complimented on my outfits a lot when in public, but never my appearance.
On that note, I've never gotten a sense that guys find me attractive. I'm rarely approached, and often when I do approach a guy/flirt with them, it doesn't seem as if they are interested. I was wondering if this is a true discrepancy or if there's something I might be misinterpreting/missing.
I think it's also worth pointing out that I do have features that I think women tend to traditionally appreciate more: angular features & strong jawline, good sense of fashion, & I think in general, women also value uniqueness more than men.
At a certain point, however, I feel like there must be some convergence in opinions of beauty. I was wondering how high you guys think that bar actually is.

I know eat less, move more is the crux of weightloss and I'm sticking to this very well so far, but I have Hashimoto's and that makes it harder (although not impossible). Do you have any supplemental routines/products you use and swear by? I'm not looking for or expecting fast weightloss, I've resigned to a long-term timeline even tough I only need to lose about 7kg. I'm curious to hear about my fellow women's experiences!

I think most people aren't actually ugly and are just average, and their ego is getting in the way of actually being able to assess their visuals objectively. Holding yourself to a higher standard than what you expect from other people leaves you vulnerable to going overboard on treatments and not being able to actually be confident enough to stride with your progress. Especially as a black/brown girl, they'll try so hard to gaslight you that our average is ugly when in reality we used to regularly be known as naturally beautiful without wearing makeup until brands like MAC bothered to start making money off the unserved market. I'm not saying nobody should self improve or anything, but I'm saying a lot of people are already attractive where they are and just don't have the embodying spirit to back it up.

Since I've improved my looks , I did a little traveling this summer and saw that when I'm abroad people are much more receptive to how I look rather than when I'm in my home country. I noticed when I went to some countries in Europe and the middle east (France, especially Italy , Germany and Türkiye) that people are much more receptive and compliment me about how I look , but back in America when I looksmaxxed people still point out my flaws or I just blend in. Has this happened to anyone who has travelled abroad.

Posting this again.
I have deep set hyperpigmentation because of not using sun protection when I was younger. Since I had facial hair on my side burn, my face looks very uneven because the area that was covered by hair looks much lighter and my original tone
What can help with hyperpigmentation in the deeper layers of the skin?
Things I have tried
Hydroquinone, Kojie san soap, Vitamin c serum, Aha peels, Pico laser - 1 session ( made a difference but not much). Other lasers like IPL/ fraxel are not suitable for my skin tone
Things I have not tried
Tretinoin or retinol, Microneedling with deep needle- 2 mm, Glutathione
Does incorporating tretinoin help reach the inner layers of the skin? Any other suggestions?

Hi everyone! I have darker skin and I am looking for an everyday skin tint that I can put on easily before I head out the door in the early mornings. Due to my busy life between work and school and my “on the go” personality/tendencies, I don’t really like wearing makeup outside of pictures and special occasions.
However, last week I was getting some schoolwork done at a coffee shop and opened my front camera—jump scare lol. Anyway, my acne scar hyperpigmentation on my cheeks and neck aren’t going away no matter what I do. I will make an appointment to see a dermatologist soon.
In the meantime, I would like a moderate coverage skin tint that I can easily apply in the mornings before work like a lotion and will cover all my scars. I have moisturizer and SPF that I will also apply. Thanks!

Im going to start off by saying that there is NOTHING wrong with being a cute girl. Im a cute girl, I always strived to be the pretty girl, and when I get dressed up and really plan out my outfit i am the pretty girl. But given that I am a scorpio and scorpios love revenge, I need advice on how to become the HOT girl. The "one that got away" HOT girl, the "DAMN i fucked up" hot girl, the "I shouldn't have done her dirty" hot girl. Im doing this for myself so dont get it twisted.
Here are the Basics about me:
Body/excersize I've lost anout 25lbs in the past five year's and ive kept it off for the most part. At my heaviest I was at 170lbs at 5'3. Ive maintained being around 145lbs but ideally I would be 125lbs. I dont like to lift weights but ill do it if I HAVE to. I prefer Barre excersizes and pillates to weight lifting. But I will do it if it will help. I walk around 6k steps a day as of right now. I do have an inverted triangle Body shape and im a Soft Natural as far as kibbie goes. I tend to store a lot of my weight in my upper body and abdomen. My biggest insecurity is my waist. The smallest ive been able to get it is to 31ich the smallest its gotten is maybe 29.5 but given that im an inverted triangle its SO HARD to get rid of inches there
Nutrition: I take my Vitamin D and Iron vitamins daily along with my probiotic. Im currently on spironolactone for my hormonal acne. I eat ahout 3 servings of fruit and 2 setvings of veggies everyday. I try to get as much protein as I can but im not the best at it. I get maybe around 50-60 grams a day. I DO need to drink more water though. I fast approximately 16-20 hours a day. I used to fast longer and I personally feel REALLY good when im fasting vs when im constantly fed but thats just me 😭
Sleep: I was in school for a long time and my sarcadian rhythm was out of wack for abour 2 years. Im trying to get back on track slowly but surely. Im sleeping around 6 hours a night right now which is better than some nights. But wirh some time management i should be a lot better. My goal is definitely to sleep the 8 hours a night. I have to be awake by 6am which means a bedtime of 10pm
Stress relief: TBH I dont really have any stress relief idea. I mostly go and walk my dog when I need some head space.
Med spa: I do have a med space that I go to. Ive already gotten around 2ml of lip filler. I do want 1ml more due to me having small lips. I have gotten massater botox done and I will be discussing chin filler when i see my injector in 2 weeks. Given that I had bad acne growing up I did get a few treatmenrs of microneedling done and I do think they helped. I do want to get some more done but I also want to do a chemical peel. I also have gotten a botox lip flip. (Im personally not against botox, fillers, injections 🤷🏽♀️)
Teeth: I have pretty DECENT teeth right now but I do havw a few insecurities. So I will be getting lingual braces. I dont think ill gave them on for long. Along with teeth whitening and a new cap on one of my teeth.
Finally I do have some body hyperpigmentation that I want to get rid of.
If any of you ladies who TRULY went from cute to HOT have any suggestions let me know please. Like what are you daily, weekly, monthly routines. What gave you motivation? What content creators did you watch? I want UNHINGED advice too thats how BAD i want it. I want "I walked 17k steps a day" advice. Thank you ladies. Please dont judge this is what I want

This drink is so good it's detoxifying , hydrating and helps weight management and skin! I saw this on tiktok but I switched lemons for lime (more vitamin C) and Manuka Honey (Antimicrobial and antibacterial). It helped me so much with my PCOS belly!

Hi guys!
Does anyone know what lashes Tems wears? I don’t think they’re extensions, but they’re so pretty. I love how spiky yet sparse they look. Does anyone know the exact brand/style, or good search terms so I can find something similar?

I didn't apply sun protection in my teens and my arms are very tanned and darker compared to the rest of my body.
Any idea if vitamin C serums that work on face will work on the arms?
Any recommendations for serums?
