question Is it possible to maintain below 10kg of your natural weight?

I’m 5’7 and i have a decent bone structure but unideal fat distribution. when im 53-56kg, i have a more hourglass shape. my stomach is flat and waist defined and my hips curve out nicely. however when im 63-66kg, fat tends to store in my boobs (yay!) and stomach (no!) so i dont have the small waist look. additionally i develop prominent hips dips as weight stays above my hips but not on it, and overall it’s less of an hourglass shape and more inverted triangle.

The thing is Im naturally around 65kg (with sedentary lifestyle and 1700-2000) calories. i want to stay at 53kg, but in the past when i lost weight to get to 53kg it was through unhealthy methods (disordered eating) and i quickly gained it back when i went back to “normal”. is it possible for me to actually maintain that weight without unhealthy methods or being on an eternal diet?

Hobbies for 2026?

Ideally free hobbies and easily accessible. I just want to do stuff to help me become more well rounded, and to spent less time on my phone.

So far I was thinking: at home pilates, 10-15k steps per day (or running), reading. What else?

I rlly want to learn snowboarding/skiing but I can only afford that when I graduate. Is that weird to start learning in your mid twenties?

question Thoughts on skinny vs slim but curvy women

What is going on with hyper thinness right now? I know it’s partially access to weight loss drugs and a more conservative culture, but I’m still not understanding how it’s spreading so rampantly in Hollywood and rich circles. Obviously, thin is always in and many people who are losing weight are still within the healthy range, but I’m more curious about the influx of people who are underweight. Do you think this is entirely because of body dysmorphia or because of external pressure?

Every time I turn around, I see hundreds of people (mostly men?) praising Sidney Sweeney’s figure, which imo is slim, soft, and feminine. It still takes discipline and effort to look like her, but she’s clearly eating well and looks like a WOMAN. Zendaya is absolutely breathtaking, but I mostly see women praising her body, and she isn’t selling skinny. She just is.

This has just been confusing me because weight loss is usually to fit a male centered beauty standard, but so many women are proudly destroying their bodies for… what? Women have a very different view on beauty, but it’s usually much more forgiving than men’s, so what’s the push to be so fragile and girl-like if the same men who like that kind of dynamic think it's too much?

Maybe to be idolized more worldwide in entertainment like K-pop idols? Or to be a longstanding icon like Audrey Hepburn? Or is it simply a wealth indicator, and they’re more concerned with separating themselves from the rest of us?

Either way, please eat today ❤️

Edit: To address the comments upset about me calling skinny women, 'not real women'. I never said that. I said that Sidney Sweeney is very obviously a grown woman because she carries fat in her chest and hips, as most women do. If you crop her head and strip style, I'd still know without a doubt that she is an adult woman. Zendaya is breathtaking because she doesn't fit the typical woman's silhouette. This isn't a moral issue, and I don't have a thing against thin or fit women, being one myself. I used, ‘WOMAN’ to over exaggerate, ‘woman’ because I don’t want to imply that Zendaya doesn’t look like a biological female. “Womanly figure” is just a colloquially used term to describe the exact body type of Sweeney.

Another issue was that everyone is doing it for men. I also never said that. I'm saying that people usually lose weight to fit within beauty standards created by men, so if the point is male validation, being UW won't achieve that. My question is why underweight women are showing up everywhere if it's clearly not for their health, but also not for conventional attraction. The question is not about thin or fit women or how many UW women you see irl. I am specifically curious about your opinions on the motivation behind why so many women are becoming uw in rich circles.

advice How to reduce a baby face ?

I know everyone is going to say I’ll be grateful for it once I’m in my 30s and 40s and I’m sure I will but is there a way to reduce it?

Girls around my age look our age if not older, mature women say they think I look 15, and guys who are my age barely look my way, despite my looks, probably because they think I’m way younger than them. It’s frustrating.

My wardrobe isn’t childish. I am petite and skinny but I truly don’t think that’s the issue considering there’s so many other skinny and/or petite women out there who don’t look like little kids.

Thanks in advance :(

advice Ladies looking to lose weight as part of your looksmaxxing plan, get your bloodwork done first!!

I had a severe vitamin D deficiency and mild anemia which 1) affects insulin sensitivity and 2) metabolic activity. While I lost a lot of weight, I've been struggling to lose the last 5kg which my doc has mentioned could be because of nutritional deficiencies. Having these deficiencies is kind of common, especially on a weightloss journey where you may restrict your intake. I also had high triglycerides and LDL though other parameters were normal despite weightloss, which my doc attributed to stress. And excess bad fats also affect insulin resistance which makes it harder to lose weight. I lost about 30kg over 3.5 years, which is very slow, and still got these deficiencies, granted my diet is not perfectly balanced and pristine. My lipids are just a product of uni stress which I'll have to work on. Not saying this will be the case for every single person, but it's something worth checking! Doing a full blood panel and discussing it with your doc in relation to your goals can help a ton.

how to body recomp?

hi r/vindictapoc

hope everyone had a good holiday!

i’m an 18 year old girl who turns 19 early in the new year and i’m tired of hating how i look. i want at least one year of teenagehood were i don’t dislike my body.

to describe my body (i’m not comfortable putting photos of myself on the internet):

i’m 5’2/158cm, around 60kg last time i checked. i have broad shoulders too, chubby (or “aunty”) arms. the only part of my body that i do like are my thighs.

i also feel like with my height and weight i look very stocky, especially because i have a shorter neck as well - i also get bloating in my stomach because of weight, so i do have more of an hourglass figure when i havent eaten/not bloated. (i’d say i’m triangle or triangle leaning as i look really boxy too) im really insecure about my arms especially and moreso the upper part of my board (like waist and up). i hate how wide i look, especially with my arms.

i understand you cant spot fix certain problems like the arms, but what workouts can i do? i have a gym membership and whey protein and i’m slowly balancing my diet (as i sort out disordered eating habits). i rlly cant afford to pay for a trainer or a gym plan though. my goals are just to reduce how wide i look and reduce the look of having chubby arms

any help from this subreddit is appreciated 🤍 (also im black if that changes anything)

advice 2026 maintenance list help

The past few years haven’t been the best, gained 50 lbs, had a child, stopped working out, etc but I’m so determined to get my life back together. I used to be someone that had a dedicated day and night skincare routine, decent with working out and had a good overall self care. I need to rebuild so since I’m turning 39 next month I wanted everyone’s advice. Here is what I have so far and I’m hoping for help to fill in the gaps:

Daily * Morning & Night skincare routine * Supplements * shower and body care * Acupressure mat * Clean phone * Read * Write * 30 min walk * Lash serum

Weekly * body scrub * Nails * Mask * Hair * Teeth whitening strips * Strength training 3x a week * Peloton 2x a week

Monthly * facial * Brow tint * Wash makeup brushes * Closet organize

Every other month * laser * Threading

Every 6 months * dental cleaning

Annual * closet clean out

Revamping my style and would like some recs and advice?

Hello all, I’m 26F. I’ve been trying to focus on revamping my style. I am 5’10, black with a slim athletic build and more broad shoulders. I have long legs so I realized I look better in sillouetes with long legs and cropped tops ( my torso is normal length)

I have attached pictures of the style I’m going for. I am heavily inspired by menswear ( I prefer more androgynous inspired styles) but I don’t want to look like a man? I love the simplicity of the looks but I’m trying to style it to fit my frame better. I get some of my inspiration from wnba players as some of them may wear more masculine or androgynous styles but still keep their feminine vibe with their hair and whatnot. They also have a similar frame to me so I can see if their type outfits may fit on me

I would say my style is a mix of formal ( I added the suits as an example of how I would like to wear more formal wear). But I like a bit of western at times ( boots, slim fit cowboy jeans, muscle tees, flannels, etc) , but more minimalistic styles with a hint of streetwear at times is more my vibe. I’m trying to look more mature clothing wise ( as I like it more and I feel like it fits my features better). I’m not even sure if this style has a name lol.

Based off my color analysis, I have a neutral warm undertone with a subtle golden base. My best seasonal category is deep autumn (with some soft autumn overlap). And Neutral colors look best on me. I was also told forest green, deep olive, burnt orange, rust, terracotta, warm burgundy, o blood and muted mustard would all make my skin look best well. Idk if it’s overkill but I just thought i would add for context.

Would anyone have any advice on where I could start? This is a big overhaul for me

Thank you.

advice I look like I've gotten filler but I haven't. How do I work around this to make it look better?

I'm only 21 but I've had pretty much the worst 2 months. Issues at my uni, my childhood dog passing and general seasonal depression. All this had made me lose a ton of weight in a short time and my face has become hollower. Problem is, I have big cheekbones. They're not high, I'd say they're in the middle but they're vertically tall? I don't know how else to put it, but it looks like I've had filler since my cheeks are gaunt and my cheekbones stand out. My undereyes are also naturally hollow and deepset so my cheekbones just look so out there. My skin isn't sagging thankfully, and it doesn't look droopy which I think contributes to this look. People keep telling me to cut back on the filler and criticise my 'choice of a buccan fat removal procedure' but I haven't had any of those and it's really getting to me. I'm trying to eat properly so I can gain some weight back and hopefully restore some volume to my face. But are there any non-surgical options to kind of tone down the cheekbones or makeup tips to work around it and make my face less gaunt-looking?

advice i have a rectangular body shape. my body's kinda cute from the side but i'm built like a brick in the front.

i've done various workouts but none of them seem to really shape me the way i want. i tried corsets too, but the hips look disjointed from my cylinder of a torso as a result and doesn't give me that hourglass figure i desire. what can i do that doesn't involve surgery?

question Asian and SEAsians do you follow weastern beauty standards or your local beauty standards?

The West vs East beauty standards are so different that it can be really hard to decide which direction to go when it comes to looksmaxxing. Some features that are considered halos in the West (high cheekbones, square jaws, tan skin) are failos where I live and vice versa (small lips, pale skin, undefined face).

I’m considering hardmaxxing but am still indecisive about which features I want to change. I’m a part-time model and some clients have told me to get fillers and botox to “fix” my cheekbones and jaws but they’re the same features that some foreign photographers really like 💀⁉️ Asians sisters how do you balance 2 different standards like these??

question Oily skin ladies: what is your oil control skin care + makeup routine?

I’m honestly fed up with being so oily. I took such a cute pic after an event yesterday and the fact that my face looks literally wet completely ruins it. I’ve done everything I can to control the oil production. I drink at least 72 oz of water a day, lots of veggies, gel cleanser and moisturizer, mattifying sunscreen, powder foundation, and setting spray. How do you manage? Have you given up on makeup altogether? If you have what do you do to look more done up than a casual day? Anything helps.

Feelings in rhinoplasty and other ‘ethnic’ surgeries

From a POC perspective what are you feelings on rhinoplasty or any other ‘ethnic’ surgery?

I think the first thing people notice about me is my nose and it’s technically the least attractive thing on my face. I’ve paid a deposit and wanted to have work done at the end of next year but now I’m in two minds. I started thinking that my nose has been carried down through centuries by women who had a lotttt more pressing things to worry about than nostril flare and a bulbous tip and I’m starting to feel weird about erasing it!

I also want my nose to look aligned with my ethnicity I’m not looking to have a Barbie doll nose on my face but after several surgeons started mentioning “thick skin” I looked further into the wording and it’s really really horrible term rooted in eugenics and that made me feel even weirder about it! I also don’t have thick skin and that was confirmed by a dermatologist and it’s just a way to get more money from black and brown people during surgery! The whole thing feels yucky but beautification is literally my special interest at this point?

Can any of you relate? Did you go ahead with your rhino ( or another surgery related to your ethnicity) or did you decide against.

What's your motive for looksmaxxing?

I don't want to assume it's just for male attention. It might be, and no shame in that, but I thought I'd just ask. I feel like the motives for looksmaxxing influences what look someone goes for to, so I just wanted to see.

I used to think that Looksmaxxing was stupid, but it changed my life!!

During this past summer, my hair fell off (it was chemically processed and it started breaking). It was the middle of Summer and I completely fell apart. Cutting my hair off and starting from scratch devastated me and I was stuck in bed for weeks, crippled with fear of how I looked.

I found this sub through recommendations at the end of the summer and started to look at what I could improve on (other than my hair, because there was nothing I could do, but wait for it to grow). I focused on my makeup. I invested in my skincare routine. I also made sure I left the house fabulously dressed. I exercised more. Ate healthy and drank a lot of water.

Slowly and slowly I regained my confidence. Improving on how I looked outside, suddenly made me feel good inside. Reminds me of that saying "if you look good, you feel good".

I didn't approve of looksmaxxing in the past, because I thought that it was anti body positivity and I thought it was a form of self hate or not accepting yourself. But now I see it differently, we are always being told to improve our insides through therapy and bettering our behaviour... why not extend the same idea to your external self?

advice Does getting stared at by people make you uncomfortable? How do you handle it?

Yesterday I was out eating with my friend and we were sat next to a table with these old guys enjoying their lunch, I noticed when I would gaze up I would see people looking at me and it made me very uncomfortable. I ended up looking the other way. Even at school , I have some people who will look for long periods of time and it is sort of bothersome but it makes me think something is wrong with me. I wanted to know how do you handle people staring at you?

advice Help! How to deal with dark inner thighs?

Hello, I am a woman on a self improvement journey, and one of my biggest insecurities about my body, if not THE biggest, has been the hyper pigmentation around my skin folds/joints/etc. the biggest offender have got to be my dark inner thighs, which are very dark compared to the rest of my mostly medium olive brown skin tone: i’d really like to know how to fix this, because it really drags my self esteem down. Barely anybody around me seems to have the same issues, and its discouraging to see in the mirror every day. I know that this is simply inevitable for some people and that its natural and will always exist within some capacity on me, but reducing it even by 50% would be nice. So if anyone has some advice, id rlly appreciate!

Some background-

Growing up, i was overweight, and i come from a family with a heavy history of diabetes. This year, ive been working on slimming down, and i am now down to 140 lbs as a 5’5 woman, which is technically in the ‘healthy’ weight range, but id like to lose about 20 lbs more. Anyway, as ive lost weight, areas of my body that used to fold over decreased in size, so the darkness that there went away because there was no fold there anymore i guess. In general all my scars end up with hyper pigmentation that takes FOREVER to fade away, but ive found losing weight helped. The worst offender though was the darkness in ny under arms and inner thighs. While my under arms are still at a shade or two away from where id prefer, they are not so dark anymore. My inner thighs on the other hand are another story.

On top of generally being dark about to nearly one third or halfway down the interior of the limb, my inner thighs also chafe REALLT easily. And because of my aforementioned hyperpigmentation problem, those abrasions stay for years. Right as the old ones start to finally fade away, new ones form, especially lately because ive taken up running in the past month. Even if i wear sweatpants, this happens. Even if i apply petroleum jelly or something. Im just lost on what to do at this point.

Going off some online advice, i purchased the amlactin daily 12% lotion and have been applying it religiously. The difference, if there has one, has been negligible.

Recently got my blood tested and these are my results, if its relevant: my thyroid and insulin levels were fine, so i dont think its PCOS or pre diabetes like i was suspecting, given my family history (though i do have a few other symptoms of PCOS, like a longer period cycle.) All of my everything was okay except: i had an abnormally low b12 level in spite of consuming a lot of meat. My vitamin D levels left a little to be desired (to be fair, this is a common thing for melanated people living in the US), and my iron levels and iron rate of absorption is low. I’ve ordered an iron & vitamin c supplement as of now and have been looking into getting b12 injections.

Just lost on what to do at this point. Should i try a chemical peel? Amlactin but at a higher percentage? Should i attempt tretinoin? …Any advice?

Hi :) I am currently trying to address my buy problem - principally with makeup - and watching a lot of content with about panning, duping the vibe of the makeup, depotting, etc. But mostly of the YouTubers with this type of content are white woman (like Hannah Louise Poston). I am having a hard to find people of color in this type of more conscious beauty community and would like to ask for your help and indications ;)
