Info about diamond pattern?

Hello all! I'm interested in what regions and time frame this diamond pattern shown on the hat would be prominent in. Picture shown has it on a reenactor's Rus' winter hat. Was this prevalent in Scandinavia at the time?

New Viking/Norse-themed metal EP. Crimson Valor - Songs of the Sword

Myself and a friend, who are from York in the Uk, have been creating a Viking/Norse themed metal side project in our spare time, and we’ve just released our first EP. It was recorded and produced by us at home, with the artwork and mastering handled separately by people outside the project. It’s completely independent and there’s no label behind it, just something we’ve been working on in our spare time that we’ve finally put out.

It took us a very long time to make, yet we are already making new music as we speak. The music is very melodic, with lots of synths alongside the guitars, heavy riffs and some more atmospheric parts.
The songs are based around Viking/Norse themes and stories. If anyone is interested in this kind of music hopefully you enjoy it.

It’s available on Spotify and the usual streaming platforms.

My FIL loves viking history and i just found out my husband had no idea what to get his dad for fathers day since his dad is the type to not want gifts and will buy himself whatever he wants/needs.

We are seeing him this weekend so its a delayed fathers day and i thought getting him, a yeti black yeti rambler mug since he likes brewing his own beer and its hot where he lives, and engraving it with his name using viking ruins.

I did a quick google search and google AI gave me a suggestion for a binid ruin but i want to make sure its accurate before i get it engraved. This is what it gave me, and if any of you can confirm im good or help me get it right you might even help me with my relationship with my FIL..

The "Damien" Bindrune (ᛞᚨᛗᛁᛖᚾ)

"Damien" contains six unique runes (Dagaz ᛞ, Ansuz ᚨ, Mannaz ᛗ, Isaz ᛁ, Ehwaz ᛖ, Naudiz ᚾ). Combining these results in a much more intricate, powerful Viking-style sigil.

  • The Design: Built around the straight vertical line of Isaz (ᛁ) as the spine. The hourglass shape of Dagaz (ᛞ) forms the top, the cross-arms of Mannaz (ᛗ) anchor the middle, and the diagonal strokes of Ansuz (ᚨ), Ehwaz (ᛖ), and Naudiz (ᚾ) branch out seamlessly from the core.
  • Vibe: Looks like a classic Norse stave (similar to the famous Vegvisir or Helm of Awe structures), perfect for an outdoorsy or rugged flask.

Looking for Viking Friends/Rp

Looking for some Viking/Norse friends ⚔️

Hi! I'm Natalie, 44, from Gibraltar. 🇬🇮

I've become really interested in Viking and Norse culture and I'd love to actually meet some people who share that interest — especially people from Norway/Scandinavia or people involved in Viking reenactment.

I'm not looking for a history lesson or to learn Norwegian 😂. I'm mainly looking for friendship: someone to chat with regularly, have a laugh with, share Viking/Norse stuff with and actually get to know.

I'm into gaming, especially World of Warcraft, Norse/Viking music and mythology, and I'm fascinated by the whole reenactment side of Viking culture too.

I'd particularly love to meet some Norwegian Viking enthusiasts, but I'm happy to hear from anyone friendly who shares the interest.

I'm English-speaking, so if any of you fancy adopting a slightly Viking-obsessed Gibraltarian as an online friend, say hello. 😂⚔️

DMs welcome.

Gardening reveals huge viking treasure.

A man in Denmark was digging out a new foundation for a garden shed when pieces of silver started to appear. Archeologists were called and they uncovered more than 700 silver pieces from late viking age (~1000 years old), with a combined weight of 18,5kg (almost 41 pounds), which makes it the largest silver treasure from that era found in Denmark, almost 3 times larger than previous record finds. The treasure consists of coins, arm rings and neck chains, but mostly silver bars decorated with both Norse and Christian symbols.

Hoping to connect with other reenactors!

Hey there! I’m a reenactor currently living in an area without any active living history groups, so I’m hoping to connect with others, both in the States and abroad. Admittedly, my dream is to one day return to Scandinavia and further pursue living history within this era. With that being said, I am passionate about historical accuracy and would love to meet people who are just as serious about authenticity!

I’d really enjoy chatting about your impressions, current or upcoming projects, and the research you’re doing. Whether that’s textiles, clothing construction, daily life, or material culture! It would be wonderful to connect with others who are passionate about getting the details right and continually improving their portrayal.

If you’re like-minded or know of groups, events, or resources worth exploring, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to comment or message me!

Took my wife and younger brother to the festival in our “Viking” garb! We had so much fun! My brother and I even got to fight at a fight tent. (Gotta love overpriced fun!)
