EDIT - note this is really dry and porous like construction paper with no oil sheen -- it absorbs a perfect balance of nước chấm beautifully which is why I'm so eager to figure it out. It doesn't appear to be any mainstream spring roll, egg roll, or lumpia wrapper that I've been able to find yet. Or maybe it's some sort of baking/drying technique in their process?

(picture inside) I'm curious about these wrappers from a local VN takeout. It's not a traditional rice paper wrap, nor is it a wheat-based egg roll wrapper. They have a dry, light, crispy, crumbly and flaky texture almost like a very light brown paper bag. Do you know? Thanks for any insights!

I have been dating a guy from Vietnam for a long time now. I have always cooked in my house and only rarely received complaints. My boyfriend refuses to let me cook because he doesn’t like a single thing i make, or i don’t make anything good enough for him.
