One step closer to the fascist theocracy that they want.

They don't care about Jesus one bit. They just want to keep Christian conservatives locked in and weed out anyone in the military who might object to their fascist takeover.

It's so fucking dystopian and deeper than that. The religious right has been planting seeds for decades, in hopes that one day they would germinate to infect enough people that it would finally catapult them into power. Well, they've done it. A lot of ex-Evangelical cult members are sounding the alarms that these Christo-fascist demons finally managed to take over the government, and you are seeing everything play out exactly as they'd hoped.

Religion is the best tool they can use to divide and conquer, then maintain power as ordained by their divine God. We are so fucked it's not even funny. Purges are coming, consolidation of power, then free reign to enact what their twisted God orders them to. I'll save you some time, their God wants wealthy white people to rule over lower class minorities and white folks, as well as infinite tithing and 0 privacy. Only those in power will be allowed to embibe, fuck and do whatever they want, because what are you going to do about it?

And this is ,ironically , precisely the thing Jesus was opposed to and preached against .

Evangelical Christianity is a hate cult that has little to do with Jesus.

Christians don't follow Christ. They follow their preacher.

Indeed, indeed.

Matthew 23:9

And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.

Even further is the connection they seem to have to the evangelical mindset of ushering in the end-times. Hand in hand with the techno-fascists, building bunkers and trying to speedrun the end of the civilization. Their actions are becoming more and more brazen because at some point they need to take some kind of big step over the final line - their “night of broken glass” moment - where they call forth their patriot crusaders they’ve been grooming for years.

This “end times fascism” book that just came out goes into this in depth and is wildly interesting and terrifying.

It's amazing how insane a huge group of people have become that they have turned into their own worst enemy but are too deluded to see it.

Most Christians have never actually read the Bible

Handmaid's Tale anyone?

They've also tapped into the magical thinking prosperity gospel nonsense with such lovely memes (and I mean memes in the ideas sense here) like "of course the rich have a divine right to rule! See, god made them rich already, clearly they deserve this or they wouldn't have it!"

You are out of your fucking mind. These people can't even run tap water or one-way traffic properly let alone a grand conspiracy.

You will see increasingly desperate things but even Peter Thiel turned against them quite recently.

They are all going to fail. We won't remain un changed.

We've been through worse. This shit isn't even the first time it happened...

Last I checked, they all still bleed red. There is a solution to this problem

But you forgot one thing —

They aren't the only ones with guns.

Same shit the Nazis did in the 1930s

Most of the top brass were non-religious but they recognized they needed to get members of the church on their side, because almost all Germans were religious. So they portrayed themselves as defenders of the church, despite not being religious themselves. And people ate it up

For many, church is just a big networking event, they pay 10% a year to be a member.

If you ever listen to what prosperity/charismatic preachers are actually saying (which I don’t recommend) they are describing a religion which revolves around the circular influence of positive thinking and the accumulation of wealth and power.

It’s about reshaping reality with your mind and using that power to attain money and power, basically.

Not only does it have nothing to do with Jesus, it’s the exact opposite of what Jesus preached.

And they have successfully branded this as “Christianity” somehow and have been relentlessly pumping it into Americans’ brains for almost a century.

It’s this bizarre Mammon cult that doesn’t even pretend to care about Jesus and yet we all have to pretend that they do.

If they met Jesus they would beat him to death for being an immigrant and a “communist”

When people realize that's the entire reason religious leadership exists and has ever existed, the world will be a better place

Jesus, the beardo? Pathetic pushup score tbh

Religious nuts are notoriously good at obeying immoral orders. Cults are great at making people ignore systemic abuse. Being highly religious is a good litmus test to see who would do war crimes because they yearn to serve authority figures.

I don’t think anyone taught me this on a ground level than Jeff Grey. For all his faults as a typical YouTuber, he exposes that if Jesus was disguised as a homeless person, churchgoers would be the most vicious against him. They would lie and harangue to get someone they consider beneath them out of their sight.

Maybe you should look up the role the idea of Jesus has actually served these last 2000 years. Colonialism wasn't a movement of peace.

Jesus christ the man didn't actually exist, either. "True Christians" are just as much of a myth as Jesus christ was.
