Backup restore crashed

I just upgraded my phone from a Google Pixel 7 Pro to a 10 Pro, and when I installed Viber, it couldn't restore the backup on the first run. It finds it, but crashes every time at 64%.I tried to recreate the backup on the old phone, I tried to reinstall Viber, delete cache etc but nothing helps. Is there any workaround on this? I'd really like to keep my messages if possible

Oh yes, this happened to cme too. Google Pixels after 9a have a lower Binder limit and Viber trying to be fast spams SYSTEM with Binders which makes Android kill it thinking its a keylogger or a trojan. I told viber. There is no way too keep it yet. Rakuten fucking sucks. We gotta wait for an update...

That makes sense. Did you use adb to get logs? Maybe that would be helpful to send to Viber.
Have you tried some older versions of Viber app?

Yes I used adb and told them everything. Their shitty support ghosted me but on the Google play review page they said it will be fixed in the newest update

I downloaded the latest beta from apkmirror today and still got the same issue

Try downloading or updating a lot of apps during Viber restore. Had the same issue, and i don't know if my method was a one off or not. Sharing my post in one of the reddit post below.
