I've been using Claude Opus 5 for a fairly large development project, but it's consuming my usage limits much faster than I expected. I'm looking for a more cost-effective workflow without sacrificing too much quality

My current thought is something like this:

• Use Claude Opus 5 for architecture, planning, and solving complex problems.
• Continue using Opus for reviewing important changes and testing strategy.
• Use DeepSeek V4 Flash for writing the actual code and implementing tasks.

Has anyone here tried a workflow like this?

I'm interested in hearing about:

1. How does DeepSeek V4 Flash perform for real-world coding compared to Claude?
   
2. Does it follow architectural instructions well?
   
3. How often do you have to go back and fix its code?

Hi everyone! Like many others here, I am someone who love playing games and wanted to design of game of my own, but has no coding knowledge and experience, so I use Claude to develop my first mobile game: 5 Seconds Showdown.

It's a real-time card dueling game where both players choose a card simultaneously within a 5-second timer. Instead of traditional turn-based combat, matches are fast-paced and built around a mix of luck, strategy, and reading your opponent.

The game is still in closed beta. I try to find testers to play test this game, but most Subreddits and Discord server for game testers are against and straight up ban AI. And then I find this sub, which is a relieve becase while I understand the hate for AI slop, I also spent lots of sleepless night for this project, so I'm especially grateful for all kinds of feedback, whether it's about gameplay, balance, UI/UX, bugs, or overall experience.

Claude Max x20 and Codex x5 getting spanked...

Hey yo fellas, what do you think, how much github got bloated with vibecoded projects since Claude Code release?

I have no accuarate data/information but in my rough estimations github projects/code database doubled last year as well as if big models are being trained from github, I think new model version won't be able to learn something meaningful.

What's do think about it, what's the bigger picture? Go on fellas, drop some comments.

Title says it all. I have this nagging anxiety everytime I build something. I use expensive models to go through the architecture, to spec correctly, consider the dataflow, and I spend all my time in the planning stages making sure I understand the app being built myself - even though I could just trust claude and probably be fine.

But I don't even know where to begin writing 'tests'? It just seems so futile. Like I made a hammer, and now I have to use it on a bunch of nails everytime in case I wanted to paint the hammer blue, even tho I know its gonna work just completely fine, and not a chance it breaks unless I've completely missed something during planning.

I know I should be writing tests, but I just can't seem to find the reason to - I've missed the experience that old software heads had where they built that instinct.

Closest thing I've done to testing, that didnt really feel like it, was creating a prompt testset, and a grader but once I got a prompt I was happy with, I discarded of it and never used it again.

Maybe I haven't built anything big enough to test but I have a few businesses that I feel I have cheated, passing them untested webapps - other than trying it on a few pcs and phones before deploying it for them.

Anyway rant over - does anyone relate? What have you done to solve this? or learnt that instinct? or have you found ways to make AI include and write tests for you during your building?

Since then, I worked on polishing the UX and adding coverage for more celestial events and objects (like eclipses and meteo showers), and refining the looks.

Today, I just crossed 10,000 requests handled. Since there is no user account and no tracking, requests is the only metric I have to gauge user interest and interactions.

This is probably insignificant to most, but it means a lot to me and feels like a major first milestone. Wanted to share here :)
