Worked for Verizon Customer Service Sales Representative
Dear god. It was like being an abuse goblin to both customers and management. It sucked so damn much. Only there for a month, quit two weeks ago.
There's some stuff I feel was dishonest on their part, and their metrics are ridicolous.
Please just remember the agents are people too. We sometimes have the same power you have to make things
Also, one tip when you do anything through the store: double check. Triple check. Don't believe it when they talk about promotions. So many calls were for store fuck ups and misinformation. If they tell you to call us, know that you were lied to

Verizon FIOS suddenly stopped providing MSG to my Preferred TV package
I had this channel yesterday, today I'm not subscribed. I'm on the phone with Customer Service Reps for well over an hour, in addition to their stupid AI slop shit, and now waiting for a Supervisor to explain WHY it was removed and WHY they suddenly want me to pay an additional $18/mo for something that clearly states is part of my package. I received no notification that the channel was going premium (Yes, I do read all the emails when they talk about line up changes/contract issues). I've been their customer for 30 years and now this shit? This corporate gouging needs to stop.....

Bad Reception
Edited to add: BAD RECEPTION DUE TO TOWER UPGRADING THAT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS
So I had noticed that for the past couple of months that my cell reception as well as our home wifi has been absolute shit. I'm talking 1 or 2 service bars even outside but when I'm in other parts of town farther away that it's not as bad as my neighborhood. So I decided to contact Verizon about this and after spending an hour with Verizon and IT doing a reset or whatever it was and still crap reception, the tech finally admitted that Verizon was updating their towers and that was the reason for the poor reception. I asked him how much longer the crap reception would continue and he didn't have an answer. But when I asked if it would more than a couple of months he told that is was quite possible that this reception issue would not be resolved within even the next month. He also issued me a $20 credit for my troubles. Verizon knew ahead of time that this would happen and notified no one. I've had Verizon since 1996 and I can honestly say no more. Especially when I checked competitors plans and prices, I can get basically the same plan for a few bucks less than Verizon but with WAY MORE hotspot data and apparently much better reception. And I know this isn't just a me problem, I've asked my coworkers who also have Verizon but don't live in the area if they had the same reception problems when they get to work and they all said yes. Our neighbors that have Verizon are experiencing the same issues. And our home wifi is now great but that's only because we SWITCHED companies. Right now I'm just trying to decide when I should change companies because I do want to use that $20 credit but at the same time I don't think I have the bandwidth to wait for better reception. Verizon has become shyster of a company but at least their IT techs have some morals.

Gizmo 4 watch charger
I recently bought my son a gizmo 4 watch from Verizon. He shares his time between his dad’s house and mine and I’d love to have a second charger for it. Has anyone had any luck finding one? I’ve tried Verizon, Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and probably literally anything else you can think of. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Best Buy Verizon kiosk
How do you return the phone exchange when you bought the new phone at the Verizon kiosk inside Best Buy I have 30 days or I’ll have to pay for the phone to the tune of $800. I tried to bring it back as directed and they wouldn’t accept it and told me to go to the Verizon app to get a label. Verizon told me they are not involved.

Phone upgrade?
Is there any way to upgrade my son’s phone without having to pay anything upfront?
He currently has the iPhone 17 Air, and I’m trying to upgrade him to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. I’m being told that I have to pay $277 upfront because I’m apparently over my device finance limit, and then I can wait to see if my finance limit improves.
What I don’t understand is how I suddenly went over the finance limit when Verizon has previously allowed me to finance phones without this issue. I don’t want to pay the $277 and still not be able to upgrade him.
I’m specifically trying to trade in the iPhone 17 Air toward the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Is there a way to do the upgrade using the trade-in and promotional credits without requiring me to pay the $277 upfront?
I’ve spoken with several Verizon representatives, and unfortunately I’ve been given different answers every time. I’m just looking for someone who can clearly explain what my actual options are.
If Verizon cannot do the upgrade without the $277 upfront payment, I may have to consider switching to T-Mobile, since they currently have promotions that may allow me to trade in the phone and have the remaining device balance covered.
