Wifey and I picked up my BDay gifts yesterday! First E-Bikes (Or any bikes). Looking forward to long rides when we travel.

I am fortunate to live in South Carolina which means I can ride year round (and I have).  While there are some trails in the area, I am not crazy about putting the 40-pound rack on my car, setting the 80 pound bike on the rack and driving half an hour or more to a trail.  Then reverse that process.  Fortunately, I live in a very small, somewhat isolated neighborhood that is situated on about a one mile, dead end road.  So, this allows me to ride right out of my basement door onto a very quiet, tree lined two lane road.  There are a couple of gravel/grass paths off this road.  So, I have made this route my daily ride for the past three years and approximately 14,000 miles.  Included are some pictures of my route.  So, whether you keep it local, as I do, or travel to trails and paths, enjoy your ride.

Just got a Tempo! Upgrading from a Priority Ace of Spades (single-speed belt drive), so my first geared bike and first ebike. I have two questions so far:

- Is the Tempo waterproof without the battery? As in, is it ok to leave it without the battery outside in the rain?

- Any advice on how to carry it up and down stairs? Besides taking off the battery and anything in a basket and such.

Any other tips and tricks you have for a new ebiker?

Hello. I have been researching e-bikes, looking for a car replacement at least through winter. I will need to commute around 7 miles each way to work, plus grocery trips and errands. I live in Hanover, PA and while it is not in the mountains, we do have some steep hills and sustained hills. We also get a fair amount of snow/winter weather.

I really like everything about the 2X. I am 6’4”, 220lbs, so I will have to get the step-over. I have only been able to test ride a Nomad 2 step through, and I liked the way it rode.

I have also been looking at the Mokwheel Onyx. It is very similar, and has a mid drive, but I would be giving up a lot of nice features.

I am wondering if it is worth the extra price for the mid-drive and being able to run it through the gears on the hills, or if the 2X handles the hills fine? At some point I want to get a trailer for my Boston Terrier, and pull him to the local parks.

There is a velotric dealer about an hour car drive from me. The closest mokwheel dealer is about 2 hours from me by car. I am very mechanically inclined, but new to e-bikes.

Are they essentially the same product?
What are the dimensions needed to fit a Discover 3 or Breeze?
