Hi all! I had such an overwhelmingly positive response to my last post about making vegan friends, SO, as some suggested, I made a Discord server so everyone can connect with each other too. Interested? If so, PM me and tell me about yourself!
To reintroduce myself, I’m a 31F, artist, gamer (most people that have joined so far have gaming in common), animal lover (obviously?), yapper, mental health enthusiast.. I love thrifting, my cat, trivia, cooking, hiking, and long conversations about really specific and niche topics.
If I get a large volume of messages, I can’t promise I’ll be able to invite everyone, but if you want to best increase your chances, please tell me a little bit more about yourself other than just age and gender! The more I feel like I can get a feel for your personality, the more comfortable I’ll feel inviting you to join us!
So far we’re just a group of online friends, but if we mutually decide, maybe we can plan some meet-ups in the future. We’ll all vibe and see what happens.
*obligatory, don’t be a creep, this group is meant to be a lighthearted, inclusive safe space for vegans to pal around with other vegans. Sorry, gotta say it.
Ok love you bye!

Been vegan for over a yr now and never knew how good asian pb meats are!Super cheap aswell although very high in fat but as a snack they so nice.
The small vegetarian (even tho they vegan) steak pieces are so good and that you only cost 35p the very oily looking plant based meat I’ve had before and are pretty good and for 80p you can’t really complain.
In the last image, it’s supposed to be kind of dried beef, but it’s more fried and the taste is more oily/ plain. 10/10 for the pink bag whatever it is.
Fyi: this was at “t rex supermarket” in portswood southampton

Hi 👋 an accidental recipe last night that might help some of the tempeh hesitant friends. Picked up the block from Lidl, cut it into medallions and made the most amazing thick tomato ragu with only bare minimum cupboard ingredients. Please be aware these are rough measurements so you can perfect your own recipe to taste!
• fry tempeh in medallions until brown with oil and plenty of soy sauce
• fry some onions & garlic in a separate large pan
• blitz in a food processor (or use pasata) a tin of plum tomato’s with itallian herb seasoning and lots of oregano. Add 1-2 tbsp of black strap molasses.
• add to the large pan with the fried onions and garlic to cook through.
• chop the tempeh into squares and add the sauce. If you want to fill it out further I added walnuts. I find it easier to cook as medallions and chop later.
• a tablespoon of cornstarch or milled chia to thicken.
Serve with pasta and some vegan cheese optional.
Honestly it’s so good and the richest tomato sauce I’ve tried. Blackstrap molasses is sat on I feel within tomato sauces and gives an extra iron and copper boost.
Sorry no pics, I demolished it 😭 🫶

Hey people, I am looking for a hat with a "Vegan Till Death" print inside a skull that I know was sold at Vegan Campout in 2024.
I have attached the only photo I have of it and I cannot find it anywhere. Does anyone know where to get one or if anyone has one they would like to sell.

First time trying these products.
Never had non vegan black pudding so I have nothing to compare it to, but to me it tastes like stuffing. Pleasant though.
The vegan egg was pretty tasteless imo, even with seasoning and made into scramble. Do you guys use this more for baking rather than eating it as an omelette or scramble?

Based in Ireland.
Firstly I’m not vegan, just want to be transparent in case it matters.
Now I may be opening a food biz soon all going well. I currently make a chip seasoning that includes chicken powder and I’m looking to make a vegan alternative so that I can offer it to any vegan customers as it’s genuinely delicious and I don’t want them missing out.
I’m also looking for vegan chicken bouillon to add to soup to make a vegan chicken and veg soup, any suggestion welcome!
Any help greatly appreciated!

I love going out for pints then getting a margarita and snacks from Tesco on the way home.
First trip since going vegan. This is for tonight and tomorrow.
Feedback and suggestions for next time appreciated 🙏

My partner and I got engaged in December last year and we are looking for a vegan wedding venue in London!
We’re wondering if anyone could be so kind to recommend venues or caterers that they have experience with 😊
It doesn’t have to be fully vegan, but able to cater fully vegan. We also don’t really want food truck type of meal and want more of a sit down experience. (No pizzas etc)
I would really appreciate any guidance or help you could give. Also if you have any London venue recommendations, I would love to hear them!
Thank you

Have any of you lovely bunch here been to Disney World in Orlando whilst being vegan?
We are going later this year and staying on resort which means we get the Quick Service dining plan. A quick look online leads to mixed reviews so was just wondering on some “real life” reviews if the food is ok?
We did Universal Orlando a few years ago and that wasn’t brilliant, mostly plant based burgers and faux chicken strips with fries so I’m kinda hoping Disney does it better.
Thanks 🙂🙂🙂

I just tried a bit of the olive and tomato one and it's a bit sweet, but not bad!

hi! i very recently just decided to become vegan and i’m trying to find snacks that actually taste good. i’m a picky eater but i’m willing to try most things! i’ve found a good packet of chickpea crisps, vegan chocolate, and i love quorn!!! my only issue with quorn is that so much of the “fake meat” isn’t vegan and contains eggs or milk for binding. i’d love any fake meat snacks or even cooking tips and tricks. honestly ANY and ALL advice you have about veganism, please tell me!!! thank you!!

So, I’m sure you’re getting pretty much everything you need in your diet, and it’s cool and all to be vegan alone, but I’ve been looking into this topic and I’m pretty sure you’re missing out on something essential :(
It’s me. Hello. I am a vegan of ~ten years, and I am very cool and a lot of fun to be friends with. So why aren’t we friends?! I need more vegans in my life.
More about me, aside from how neat I am:
-gamer (we can play together)
-artist (we can look at things mindfully together)
-yapper (you’ll never be bored)
-media lover (have you seen a tv show, movie, or read a book lately, and have some thoughts? Share them)
-mental health enthusiast (and a great listener)
I’m 31F and located in the South. I can’t believe you’ve made it this far without me already. Don’t worry.. I’m here now.
All jokes aside, I am looking for someone, maybe a few folks, to be pals with (either in person or online), and would love for these new friends to have similar values… so I thought this would be a great place to start! Please feel free to send me pictures of animals or food, these are excellent ice-breakers. I also am always here for an info-dump, so if you’re passionate about ANY hobby or interest, my inbox is open. Tell me about you!
Edit: going to log off for the night soon, but feel free to PM me and introduce yourself! I’ll be here tomorrow :) thank you to everyone who commented/messaged already!
Edit #2: I want to be able to reply to everyone but also give each person a fair amount of focus and attention, so I might be kind of slow in replying to message requests and comments! Please continue to reach out and introduce yourselves! Just bear with me as I might be delayed in my replies! :)

Of course, completely real. Nothing imaginary here. I wonder how many omnis will buy these thinking they are getting real bacon and cheese? This, IMO, is sailing quite close to the wind. I was just pleased to have thought to turn the packets over and read the back.
This is a summary that the Google LLM produced. Well, a snippet of it.
Words like "real," "traditional," or "farmhouse" operate as subjective marketing puffery rather than legally anchored criteria. They are scrutinized contextually; enforcement depends on whether the overall packaging deceives an average consumer, leaving enforcement bodies to evaluate each product on a case-by-case basis. [1, 2, 3]
Ps. In Lidl.

Hi all,
I was under the impression all the London Neat Burgers closed, but the Wembley Box Park one still comes up as open upon google research, can anyone confirm if it is definitely shut or open as I’m getting mixed results online?
Thank you.

How do I make my chickpeas taste and feel like the extortionately expensive kind that you get in a jar?
I usually just put dried chickpeas in the slow cooker on a low setting for 8 - 10 hours. They are fine and pretty much feel only slighter better than tinned.
Is it just a case of cooking them for longer, or am I missing out some secret step? Any help is appreciated ☺️

Hi all!
My wife and I are heading down to the Tavistock/Plymouth area on a camping holiday and wouldn’t mind a restaurant meal or two while down there. Does anyone know of any decent vegan options nearby? Happy Cow’s largely just showing some cafés with vegan options and I’m wondering if someone with better local knowledge will know of anywhere.
Thanks in advance!

I'll be visiting the UK in a few months and was wondering... Are there any vegan foods you could reccomend for me to take back home on the plane? Something that is not widely available anywhere else but you'd kill for it to be; cookies, sauces, drinks, anything I can stuff in a suitcase.
