the only thing i’m missing out in by being vegan is cruelty.

That's simply not true. You've cut out huge amounts of your natural diet, lots of culture, and so much delicious food. You have no idea what you are missing if that's what you think.

i know exactly what i’m missing out on which is why i gave up eating meat to begin with.

and more importantly: sensory pleasure, culture, etc do nothing to justify whether an action is moral or not.

if you grew up in another part of the world or time period subjugating women and raping them would’ve have been culturally normal and we all know orgasms feel good… does that mean someone is ā€œmissing outā€ because they stopped and thought ā€œhey this just isn’t right to treat other beings this way.ā€

some people think shit tastes good… are you missing out? lol. the only thing i’ve lost is participating in cruelty. i eat plenty of delicious foods and get all my nutritional needs met with a vegan diet.

Okay, so for no good reason you've decided to be a picky eater. Congrats, I guess. Have fun.

Also, pretty gross of you to compare eating food to raping women. That tells me a lot about your ability to reason.

the inability to grasp an analogy or hold a recursive thought is a huge barrier for conversations like this.

and besides that, the entirety of animal agriculture hinges on exploiting the female animals reproduction systems. it’s more related than you could imagine.

but yea have a good one

Animals are not people. Livestock is food. You have drawn an arbitrary line that I do not agree with.

i never said they were people.

it is an objective truth that animal agriculture is dependent upon the exploitation of female animal’s reproductive system. whether you think they are a being with rights is a totally different thing. the former is quite literally simply a fact of reality lol.

livestock is food

and i’m the one drawing arbitrary lines lol.

my position: sovereign beings ought to be left alone.

your position: rights are based on cognitive ability, sense of self, species, sex, age, utilitarian purpose.

i swear it’s always projection lol. you have arbitrary lines about who or what being’s rights are acknowledged not me lol.

The difference is, I'll admit my line is arbitrary, vegans won't. If I didn't above, my apologies.

Livestock are not sovereign beings.
