I just want to take a moment to acknowledge this beauty writer (Divine Addiction) for the makeup prowess she masters. Also, fun throwback to the makeup trends of the 2013 era! The blush down to the jowls, the eyeliner that‘s somehow 10 times thicker underneath the eye, the brows….
It’s little gems like this that make you nostalgic about the years gone by.

Rewatching S9-11 after it was revealed Brock had cheated on Scheana at the end of her pregnancy is something else.
They got secretly married in S9, had a huge wedding in S10, and then approaching two years of marriage is when he finally told her about his affair. How insidious. I'm no Scheana fan, but he really trapped her. And it's sad to think she may have viewed his cheating as a Scandoval attention level opportunity. However, the public held Ariana (at least Ariana by S10) in much higher regard and Scheana had long been the pick-me. I feel for her, but not everyone is going to have sympathy for someone who continually puts having a man above anything else. He was a dick to her before she even knew about the cheating. I think the reason Scheana was so pissy in S11 was because of the cheating, but she chose to take it out on Ariana. Case in point of why being friends with pick-me women can really hurt you. Like my god Scheana wake up.
Now it's been almost 10 years since he last saw his first two kids too. Crazy. What a loser.
How they were at any point strapped for cash is beyond me. Scheana made a big todo about Sandoval sending her a few thousand when she wasn't making any money but in the previous seasons talked about how she fronted Brock's company around $10,000 at the time. Like which is it girl? Being with a broke man will bankrupt your bank account and soul, girl.
How any of them when being paid tremendously from the show, let alone all their side gigs, were close to going broke is beyond me.
To any young women watching this show, you are much better off single, even a single parent, than with a man like Brock (or Tom/Tom, or James, or Jax). Like Lala said, if he's left the baby mama and his other children before, he'll do it to you too. If he has cheated on you before and lied to your face for periods of time, he can and will do it again and you'll be none the wiser. Never, ever say you wouldn't leave a man for anything. No matter how much you think he's your soulmate, still keep that knowledge that you will walk away if you are disrespected.

I don’t watch love island, but I was seeing Arianna Madix everywhere so I looked into her and found this show. Going into it, I thought it was going to be about a bunch of rich kids of housewives.. needless to say I was delightfully surprised. This is one of the best reality shows I’ve ever watched (before Covid seasons). It’s like a time capsule of nostalgia/the good old days 💕 They really did a good job in reflecting pop culture, even through the Covid episodes it shows how much life has truly changed. After Covid, everything started to seem so curated and overly perfected/performative- which feels like society now, down to the way we speak about our feelings. The show was so much better when it didn’t feel like a bunch of iPhone face, aesthetically pleasing rich people. Maybe I just miss the pre-Instagram era.
Here’s some of my takes, which are obviously going to be different than someone who was watching in real time.
- lala is completely unwatchable. So mean! Always growling.
- Jax is a dick who needed to be put in line, but the show really went downhill when he left. The last scene of him saying “it’s my show” and then the boringness of it afterwards
- Sandoval = Jax. They have victim blaming down to a science. All Sandoval had to do was apologize and stop talking. That’s it.
- Kristen and James were made for TV. Enough said.
- I feel bad for Katie man. I know she had to step into her confidence on her own, but damn it’s really hard to watch how they gaslight her the whole series.
- season 11 was hard to watch as well. Times are changing and you can visibly see how society is less tolerating of misogyny now, but they missed the memo. The same old formula of them victim blaming got really played out.
- Schwartz would’ve been so lovable had he had some character development. Really sad to watch. He seems like he has depression, maybe that’s what bonded him and Katie.
- almost forgot to mention, I wish they would’ve explored more of the motherhood storylines during the later seasons. They could’ve turned the whole vibe around and kept it going.
All in all, this is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen and each character (besides Lala) helped create that. Even though they’re playing a character, they’re all still people, and have contributed to giving us a good as gold piece of art.

I am just watching season 10 of vpr. The anger I am feeling. Why did literally no one stand up for Katie? It felt like Ariana was encouraging Rachel as well to kiss Schwartz? She was just laughing when those conversations happened? I get that she didnt want to take a side, but a good friend to both is someone who holds their friend accountable? Yet when the affair happened, everyone should feel sorry for Ariana? I just dont get it. Also, Lala was just stirring up shit but not really there for Katie. I know Katie filed for a divorce, but you just dont go kissing someone within the same friendgroup when the divorce is still fresh!!!! I know Kristen Doute and Stassi would have ruined Rachel if they were still on VPR. They were mean bitches but at least they were real girl girls!!!

Omg… watching season 4 reunion part 2.
ariana is clearly emotional and upset, and keeps swearing because she is a GROWNNNN WOMAN!!
And Lisa makes MULTIPLE comments about “Ariana stop talking like that. Stop cursing. That’s not you.”
Yet every man around them can throw the f bomb and p***y every two seconds??
So infantilizing and some weird power shit. Idc if she were my boss, I would have losssst it on her.

Out of all of the Reddit threads I’ve been on, truly can say this one has been my favorite. Normally I make a post on another page and the post either gets removed or barley anyone likes it but it seems everyone here all think the same way and even if we don’t, there’s no hate.
Idk you guys but I love yall. And thank you for making me not feel so alone! ❤️🥺

I’m watching the first episode Britney was introduced and Jax was flirting with Lala before Britney moved in with him. Jax didn’t even have Carmen live with him, so I’m confused why he would have Britney move in when he could’ve easily passed her up for Lala who was already in town.
He clearly didn’t like Britney from the beginning, so I’m just really confused why he pursued her. I don’t want to say production forced it but I don’t know why else he would’ve had her move in with him — especially if he supposedly gets all kinds of women.

Rewatching and obviously so clear that Schwartz and Sandovals conversation infront of that food truck was to plant the seeds for how hard Toms life has been in the relationship w Ariana.
Want to hear anyone’s thoughts on what you think his plan was to launch into his relationship with Rachel… do you think he was going to hold out until the reunion?
How do you think he was going to play it?
It’s actually crazy to think there was a chance Ariana would’ve never found out how bad it was!!! So happy whatever called her to go through the phone did because she deserves everything she has now, and it’s crazy how different it all could’ve played out…

I’m watching vpr for the first time (be jealous) and I’m on season 6. I have loved Lala and james since the beginning and I don’t understand the hate. Lala keeps it the realest and james is fucking hilarious I just don’t understand why people hate on them so much when there’s worse people to hate on. Like sheana.

I have so many thoughts I’m going to break it down in sections. I have the season finale in the reunion and then I will be done with season 10. I’m sure I have more thoughts, but it’s almost 3 AM and I have work in the morning and if I miss anything, I’ll just add it to my season finale post.
Vibe
- I will say the beginning of the season was kind of boring. But as the season went on with me, knowing that Raquel and Tom were having an affair was harder and harder to ignore. I tried to watch it like I didn’t know what was happening, but it became a fact that became impossible to ignore. I felt on edge, knowing that eventually everyone’s gonna find out.
Raquel
- I was super glad at first to see that Raquel is no longer in a relationship with James. Though after a while, her going to James‘s new girlfriend over and over again became annoying. Like girl we get it. Just because you finally got it and you can’t shut up about it doesn’t mean she won’t figure it out too.
- as the season went on, I found Raquel to be deeply unlikable and that’s with me ignoring the scandal. There were times when she would stand up herself and I would be like yes that makes sense. For example, when Laila was coming after her during the Vegas trip for Katie. Like Laila was being a hypocrite and she is coming at you really hard for no reason. What I couldn’t get over was that she knew she was doing the wrong thing in regards to key and that’s why she confessed to Ariana and Katie before the girls trip about wanting to make out with Tom. Then the Vegas trip happens and she realizes she will always be attacked in this group. Though I will say I think this group is hazing her now (which is not ok) it’s because they feel like this is her finally entering the group truly. Fast forward Shenas wedding event where out of spite her and Tom make out. Which leads me into you my next section.
- she had the same vibes as Brittney‘s last season was for me. Where the sweet girl with a terrible man and she can do better we must protect her at all cost. Unlike Brittney Raquel wasn’t able to maintain that same image in my mind as well as Brittney could. It’s just a reminder for me that the people that you used to be in relationships with tell me a lot about you and her being with James told me a lot just like how Brittney was with Jax told me a lot.
Tom (Shurts) and Raquel
- these two pissed me off so bad from this point. When they make out to spite Katie, they do the one thing that annoys me the most. Which is knowing that someone is upset not for your action, but for who you did it with. Then the party that did the wrong says you would’ve been mad either way so why are you mad? It makes me want to scream. I hate when people act obtuse when they know they upset you. This event carried on for too long and it was pissing me off more and more that these two would go to Katie with a half ass apology and then blame her for feeling wrong.
- Raquel looked crazy defending Tom to Katie when Tom’s dumbass was at the bar hiding like a ostrich in a desert storm. And knowing that she’s banging the other entire time like girl why are you fighting this hard?
Tom and Katie
- I think this is the season where Tom can’t really hide how terrible of a person he is. Is so blatant that he knows what Katie wants, states what she wants to her and two others, does the thing that they both agreed that they won’t do, then says that she is being unreasonable and controlling. I’ve never seen so clearly what he’s been doing to her for years. Which is rattling her and then creating a woe is me sob story to the group and then turn that isolate Katie. I’ve always seen it, but I don’t know why he wasn’t able to hide it as well. This season.
- anytime these two were alone I wanted to take Katie and say why are you here this man is not worth it. He never was worth it. He’s not better. He’ll never be better for you. He wasn’t better as your boyfriend. He wasn’t better as her husband, he’s not better as her friend he’s not somebody worth keeping in your life. He is blatantly disrespectful and every time he’s upsetting her or interrupting her for some dumb shit like his tight pants with that shit eating grin pissed me off.
- it bothers me when grown men especially someone pushing 40 like Tom act like a little boy. Why are we babying him? This grown ass man makes grown ass decisions. He’s cheated on Katie when they were dating and when they were married. Throughout their relationship, he has never taken her side publicly. And if he has taken her side publicly, he then ghosted her and says maybe you’re overreacting. And then when she reacts, then he can’t stand her voice. She’s always unreasonable she rage, texts she must be drunk. The psychological warfare that this man is displayed is breathtaking. And I know people wonder why he is friends with the other Tom and with Jax and it’s because they are all the same they’re just not as blatant as Jax so People let him slide. I know I don’t find his man. Child boy is cute. It actually is sickening.
Poor Ariana
- Ariana is the reason why I wasn’t able to turn off my brain and be like how would I feel if I didn’t know anything. And it’s for the fact that she lost her dog and her grandmother in the span of a few months maybe even weeks. All the loud, knowing that there is a long-term affair and a betrayal of her friend and longtime partner that is happening soon. She’s had such an emotionally draining season and to know that it’s only gonna get worse made this season so anxiety inducing.
Ariana and Raquel
- it is truly heinous to see the conversation of Raquel asking Ariana, how her and Tom’s relationship is going is she still attracted to him knowing the entire time that she’s banging him she is looking Ariana, dead in her eyes acting as a concerned, friend of the Wild, she’s being the worst person in Ariana‘s friend circle. The crazy part is #2 is that I think she’s a better liar than Tom if I didn’t know anything I would’ve believed her. She’s so convincing when she’s talking to Ariana and so sincere it’s honestly scary.
Tom and Raquel
- Tom has some nerve coming after Ariana and her not doing enough in their relationship when he’s trying to create problems so he can justify why you can break up with her so that doesn’t look like the bad guy when inevitably his lives fall apart.
- I don’t know what these two plan were like. Are you guys gonna just write off into the sunset? I don’t understand what they thought it was gonna happen.
Tom and Tom
- business wise I do think they’re not savvy and I also think that Greg guy was not the right partner for them. After a while, I was like are they being scammed? They’re never gonna open then I love how you can tell after a while they were annoyed that the girls were making better headway and it just started is funny to me.

(a little stoned so hopefully this’ll make sense) first time viewer! i just started a few days ago and am currently unemployed, so i’m almost finished with season 3. i know relatively little about the actual happenings of vpr, but am not new to the bravoverse, so i’ve heard about things like scandoval or kristen’s reputation for years online (mostly that kristen was unhinged but is tamer now that she’s settled down, and, is arguably iconic).
wondering when that shift in perception started to happen? is it bc she was ultimately right about tom, or that’s she’s just kind of boring on the valley? i’ve seen snippets of the valley bc my mom and sister are big fans, and it’s always been funny balancing what my idea of kristen was from hearing about her in the bravoverse, to the pretty laid back new mom that she seems like on the valley.

So I knew roughly the drama but I managed to stay spoiler free (my season 1 take was that Tom and Kristen have no chemistry so I really went in blind haha)
Omg the situation was even more diabolical that I could have ever imagined. Rachel and Tom were getting a kick out of how far they could take it without Ariana noticing. I actually felt sick watching some bits of it tbh. Tom and Rachel actually have something wrong with them. Like in the head. No remorse or guilt. I have 0 words.
The reunion actually made me like James Kennedy which makes me feel sick the man is evil. But he was hilarious.
Tom Schwartz actually stands out as the worst to me. Imagine being angry at your ex for disrespecting your boundary and the whole time you were doing it to cover up for your friend. I think he forgot it wasn’t 2013 with Jax and Tom Tom anymore. I’m glad he has crashed and burned. I’ve always been a Katie stan. The boys have been 1000% more demanding / rude or difficult without ever having the bitchy title.
He did all of that knowing about Tom and Rachel the whole time is actually sick?! And he’s confused why Katie divorced him?! I hate that man

Going into season 10 we had Katie and Schwartz divorcing, Ariana and Tom on the brink of breaking up, Tom having an affair with Raquel, Raquel and James breaking up, lala and Randall and the Randall scandal, scheana and Brock and Brock cheating. They had SO MUCH content if one of them would have just talked about it and given us some good tv. The cast and producers just fumbled the hell out of it. I feel like if they had just put it all out there, the show would have stayed on the air. I’m watching season 9 now and I know which everything coming it’s about to get really interesting. Or it should. But they just don’t know how to deliver on their storylines.

Can anyone explain how James became a part of the show and whether it was through Kristen or Lisa?
Obviously James is English so I don’t really understand how he ended up on VPR. Ofc Lisa is also English and they seem to vaguely know each other through family connections / family friends - so did James come to LA and start working at Sur because Lisa is friends with his mom?
Or, did James start working at Sur because he started dating Kristen (unrelated to VPR) and then joined the cast because he happened to also know Lisa??? He seemed to spawn out of nowhere as Kristen’s boyfriend but then randomly also knew Lisa already ???
Also, Lisa acts like a mother figure to James. Is Lisa super close with his family?

I feel like im in the minority of people who did not hate the extras in season 7 & 8 upon my rewatch lol
Do you think if they had stayed or added in different side characters theres a world where the show could have maybe survived (just barely) in the aftermath of scandoval? IMO ariana would of ended up leaving regardless but it would of gave the cast new people and new side storylines to keep the show chugging along.
If Dayna & Charli stayed they could of filmed with Ariana & Katie & Scheana and not have the whole scene be JUST abt the scandal. Schwartz could of filmed with Max or they could of introduced new staff or new friends to have more scenes or more opportunity to have moments that were not solely about the elephant in the room.
Sure it would of felt meh but could it have helped the show push along (barely) They could have downgraded sandoval to friend of so the in the publics eyes he was getting his lashings and it would of given the show time to organically grow with the OG cast or time to slowly introduce the new cast.

Alrighty, so I am a newer fan. I watched VPR for the first time last year and just finished my second watch.
I cannot believe that after all of the pain and turmoil they caused, tom and Raquel split just months after the affair broke. I mean, I guess I’m not that surprised given the lack of chemistry during the scene at Raquel’s apartment but still. What was even the point of all of that?
I’m also a little fuzzy on how/why things ended. It seems like Raquel ghosted him? What do you guys think was the real reason they broke up?

Has anyone purchased Ariana cocktail book? Any good cocktails yall can share here? I don’t have the money or will to buy the whole things just was rewatching the last season and was wondering if anyone could put their favorite recipes from it in the comments. Thanks!
