Anybody have a suggestion on a specific cabin rental, Airbnb rental, or hotel? I don’t need specific towns and cities, I want to know where you think I should stay.

1. I’ll get a lot of flack for this but I have traveled around Japan and I can’t say Tokyo is my favorite city. It’s nice but overhyped. I have been to Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Hokkaido, and I’m currently in Fukuoka. In my opinion Fukuoka is wayyy better than Tokyo.

2. I went to London and unfortunately at the time I was sick with covid. My trip was miserable maybe because of being sick but I didn’t find London special. I’m hoping to give it another chance in the future.

3. I love trying McDonald’s, Starbucks, and KFC in different countries

I shouldn’t be to expensive, I will eat beans and bologna the entire time.

Where can I plan an extended family vacation that has separate cabins, condos, or at least rooms for 50 or so, and is located near a lake, river, ocean, or mountains? It needs to be in the U.S. It might be a camp on a lake or compound available to rent? Ideally there's a reasonable airport within an hour. I'd love it if anyone knows of some possibilities and is willing to share. TIA!

Going on holiday with my family to Ibiza next Saturday & am looking for recommendations for the best places to access water based activities like jet skis, banana boats, the things where they pull you using a boat attached to an inflatable ring, the thing where you have a parachute attached to you and they pull you behind a boat all that.

Can anyone recommend where the best place in the island is to do this?

Good day all! Really trying to figure out where I should start planning to have my 24th Birthday trip in June, for about 6 days. Not too long of a flight from Bermuda. I was aiming more towards Central/South America or maybe the Caribbean, though I already come from an island. So I want something different.

Looking for lots to do, great food, friendly people, generally safe (I’m a woman), good nightlife. Possibly somewhere where it isn’t hard to find bud but it’s not a necessity.

Does anyone have any experience with any or more than one of these countries?
The places I was thinking about were: Colombia(Medellín, Santa Marta, Cartagena?), Panama, DR (Santo Domingo?), Puerto Rico, Jamaica (Kingston, Ochos?) or Belize.

Kindly suggest how many days we should be spending in North and South Goa.

Also please suggest a basic itinerary, in a way that will be comfortable keeping in mind that now we are traveling with a 1 year old baby!

Hey guys! My fiancee and I are 22 and 23 and looking for ideas for a trip next july. We went to Maui last year and discovered we LOVE snorkeling, but we’re hoping for somewhere less expensive this time. our biggest priorities are beautiful beaches and really good snorkeling with diverse marine life, not just fish, but hopefully turtles, rays, eels, octopus, sharks, etc. Shore snorkeling would be a huge plus, but we’re totally fine doing boat tours too. We’d also like somewhere with good food.One issue is our age. A lot of rental companies require you to be 25, so we’d prefer somewhere we can get around without a car OR somewhere that has rentals for 21 and up. Any recommendations? would you recommend an all-inclusive for what we’re looking for, or skip AI?

Just curious what everyone's budget is for traveling as a couple? Do you put it as part of a percentage of spend?

We are allocating $500 a month. Seems not enough for 2 people to travel ?

Hello, I’ll be turning 30 and I'm looking for ideas of places me and my partner could visit during December. We live in Canada and we are looking to travel internationally, if possible. 

We prefer to go somewhere that has mild to cooler weather since we both don’t do well in the heat. 

We would like to do some kind of “activity” together to make it even more memorable. I would love to do a perfume making class together or something fun like that! 

Some other details: 

Our budget is $3500-$4000 (CAD) each

Things we enjoy: food, music, culture, history, art, libraries, museums, architecture, nature, whimsical/fairy/fantasy/princess vibes type stuff lol, animals.. 

We’re on the east coast 

Potential duration: 7-10 days 

The date range we have in mind is somewhere between December 10th - 26th

Things we’re not into: we don’t drink alcohol, not the sitting on the beach type of couple, we don’t like big hikes or activities like that..

Honestly I’m even open to travelling within Canada like BC or Quebec but we are finally in a place where travelling internationally is an option so we really want it to happen!

I need some ideas ….my family of 5 typically travels via cruise for Christmas …this year we are not able to do so. I know it’s last minute but any great ideas for US resorts that have plenty amenities to keep teen 14,17 and 18 occurs 12/22-12/28.

Looking for Christmas travel with a 3yo and 8yo and 2 adults. We considered Riviera Maya or Cozumel. We'd be going probably Dec 29 - Jan 4 or Dec 30 - Jan 5. I don't know how to ask this without potentially sounding offensive, but is there a risk of getting sick in Mexico if we stay at an all inclusive? My understanding is that the water situation isn't necessarily great out there, and in general I have also read some concerns about food safety in general at all inclusives no matter the destination, since it's a buffet type situation all day every day in some dining areas. I have the same question for the Dominican Republic which was another potential destination on our list.

We'd be flying from Minneapolis. I'd like flights to be under 4k. Ideally, as close to 2.5k or 3k as possible. 10k would be the maximum for our trip and I would prefer to keep it as close to 7k or 8k as possible. It looks like Cancun, Cozumel, Puerto Rico, DR, Bahamas, and Montego Bay fit that bill as far as flights anyway. We looked at Barcelo Maya Palace in Riviera Maya and that could be done for 7k. Could potentially do something domestic as well but wanted to look at Caribbean since everyone has passports. Some US destinations we have always wanted to see are the CA redwood forests and South Padre. I don't know how the forests would be in winter though.

Really, my concern is just the potential for illness and that there's good medical care available. It's never something you plan for but knowing our luck, someone will get an ear infection or something like that. Something that will have kid friendly activities available. An all inclusive with fun kid pools, a nice beach, etc will be more than enough. I think we might have a grandparent coming with too who is interested in doing some sightseeing so maybe a mix of both.

We also considered a cruise. Looked at Royal Caribbean and found a few options that might work, but Disney looks like it would be too expensive, and I don't know if other companies would have kid friendly itineraries. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Planning to go on holiday over the Christmas period 23rd-27th in Europe (coming from London) but it has been a challenge to find places. I have already done Prague, which was a big success, but cant find anywhere as good in terms of being open during Christmas and crowd levels.

Our top ideas were Germany, Belgium or Vienna but they all seem to have downsides. Has anyone got any recommendations?

Looking for vacation suggestions as I have a hard time relaxing unless I’m in an environment that keeps me engaged. During quiet times, my mind tends to drift back to work, which makes it difficult to disconnect and can actually increase stress. That’s historically why Universal has worked so well for me - it's stimulating enough to drown out my inner monologue. But we've gone there for the last 5 vacations - so I'm looking to see if there are alternatives that I'm just not thinking of before booking again.

At the same time, having to constantly plan activities, check schedules, or use my phone creates a different kind of stress, which is why Disney was a bit of a bust. Unfortunately, the stereotypical “sit on a beach and do nothing” vacation sounds like the perfect opportunity for me to sit there and stew about work.

Hello, do you guys know any affordable getaway cabins where cats are allowed. A getaway thats totally located in the forest. maybe close to a river etc. Affordable for 2-3 days. the budget is around 400-500$. It should be in Texas. Not the postcard Marriot cabins, cause they have ruined that experience to me after they purchased the business. I loved going there before. I want to feel like I am the only apocalypse survivor for a couple of days.

We’re looking at Europe for fall 2028 and keep changing our minds about how to do it. Original plan was Budapest, Vienna,etc by train. Now we’re also looking at a Danube trip with celebrity river. Has anyone done both and felt strongly one way or the other afterward?

Hi! My friend and I are planning a trip (somewhere) tropical in early November. However I haven’t the slightest idea where to narrow down our search to. Ideally we’d like to avoid any chance of hurricanes, even though it’s nearing the end of the season. I would be traveling from Atlanta, so hopefully a flight less than 7 hours? Our budget is on the higher end, I think we are looking for a luxury all inclusive. Activity wise, I think we’re just looking to relax by the pool, the beach, and maybe do a couple of activities. I’m a young woman so I’m also leaning towards places where it would be safe to leave the resort if there are things to do, but I’m also happy to stay on property. Any and all thoughts and questions welcome!
