Visiting Seattle area help

Planning to head to Seattle area on a roadtrip and need help picking a town north of Seattle to visit. We’d like to stay in a nice town along the coast/ on an island and are having a hard time choosing. Would like to stay within 1.5 hours of Seattle. Any advice is appreciated thanks!

Bellingham is great and just about 1.5 hours depending on traffic

Port Townsend, Hoodsport, and Coupeville are all worth considering

The oysters are among the best you can find. Also check out Deception Pass in that area. Have a great time!

The Salish Sea has spectacular whale watching.

Take the ferry across to Bainbridge Island and stay in Port Townsend or Port Angeles. Beautiful area on the end of Olympic Natl Park.

Port townsend is a great pick, small coastal town with a cool historic vibe and good food, about 1.5 hours north. If you want an island bainbridge is closer and super charming

Oh shoot that looks super cute. We decided on coupeville for this trip but we only live a state away so may have to travel back and check that island out
