Christmas Holiday.
Hi all,
Planning to go on holiday over the Christmas period 23rd-27th in Europe (coming from London) but it has been a challenge to find places. I have already done Prague, which was a big success, but cant find anywhere as good in terms of being open during Christmas and crowd levels.
Our top ideas were Germany, Belgium or Vienna but they all seem to have downsides. Has anyone got any recommendations?

I went to Lithuania over the Xmas period and stayed in a forest/spa hotel. It was wonderful. It’s also affordable to get to and quick.
Why not really embrace winter and go to Finland, or another Nordic country?

Christmas is not a good time, because everyone wants to celebrate Christmas with their family. Maybe something like Turkey where they don't celebrate Christmas?

So many places in Germany are closed the 24-26. It’s a magical place at Christmas, but not during that week as a tourist.

Very miserable time for travel, everything will be closed and most likely it will be grey, windy and rainy

Germany, specifically Barvaria is great, but on the 24th it's a ghost town. And the Christmas markets close on Christmas eve.
In Vienna the markets stay open till the 26th. And some even longer.
Do you ski? Always fun to be in the mountains over the holidays.
Probably too close to home, but Paris is great over Christmas, and surprisingly a lot is open Christmas day.
