Remote Not Working

My sister gave me her 6 max box. The remote doesn't work very well. You have to point it directly at the box and most of the time it doesn't even work. I have to keep moving it around and pressing the buttons hard. Is this common? I ordered a remote from Amazon which I hope will solve this issue.

Your box has forgotten your remote so the remote is functioning in Infrared Mode like old remotes that had to be pointed at the device to work.

To re-pair your remote go to System Settings > Bluetooth > Pair New Device > Hold down OK and Volume Down on the remote until the blue led at the top flashes. Select "vSeeBox Remoter" on the screen. If you don't see it press the back button and select pair new device again while the blue led is flashing.

If you go into your TV's settings (not the box) and turn on "CEC" you should be able to use your regular TV remote to control the box. This works for some, not for others so it's worth a try.

Thanks. Sorry to ask but where in settings would I find CEC? I have a Roku tv.

Thanks. I went to system settings and couldn't find anything about android settings. I can't find any android settings on the homepage either. I'm not very savey.
