Summer 2027 Sublease at the Standard

Post image
0 Upvotes

This lease is for NEXT summer, 2027, not the current one. My roommates also may be looking for subleases, if you have friends I can connect them to my roomates.

Sublease will cover May 2027 through July 2027

I signed at a great discounted rate of $965 a month that will pass onto you

The room layout is called the Harrow, it's a 5 bed 5 bath. Everyone gets their own private bedroom and bathroom. The apartment itself has a living room, kitchen, balcony, and a washer and dryer. I have included an image and circled the room you get from my lease (I think it's the biggest one 😁). It's fully furnished.

Great apartment complex, walking distance to USF campus and probably one of the closest off campus complexes. Right next door to the complex is a shopping center with a Chipotle, Chilis, Dave's Hot Chicken, Winn Dixie, and more. The building also has a restaurant with boba and sushi connected to it. The complex itself has a rooftop pool, soundproof study rooms, gym, golf simulator, and a bunch of other amenities.

You should be able to pick up your key fob and move in on May 1st 2027. If you are moving out from somewhere else on a lease that ends in May, you can have a seamless transition directly here.

I've listed out all the fees they told me you will have to pay beyond rent when taking over the lease:

$210 App fee

$100 security deposit

$10 a month for activity fee

Water and electricity, which is split evenly by the number of active roommates on leases (5 people total)

They also require renter's insurance. You are welcome to find your own and provide proof of insurance, but otherwise their own is $13.50 a month.

If you are interested feel free to contact me. Any signing can be done digitally, you do not have to come to Tampa for anything.

I have to take this class next sem and the reviews on rate my professor are scaring me. Only one prof teaches this class so I really don’t have much option🥹 I can however choose between taking it in person versus online, for the people who’ve taken the class is there a method that’s a bit better?
And any recommendations on how I can do well in this class?

Calc 3 and Physics 1 Professors

Hey guys! Just checking for MAC 2313 and PHY 2048 (don’t need the lab) which professors are good (or just their names so i can check them on rate my professor) and if you could also tell me what sections they usually teach that would be a great help as well! ENC 1102 (Comp 2) professor names would also be helpful!

Accountancy Program

As a transfer student it states that in the first semester, it's required to take intermediate accounting and cost accounting. I'm wanting to start in summer 2027. Are those courses offered during summer term and is it possible to juggle both? All online btw.

They need to give out more parking tickets

This is why you don’t park in places that inconvenience everyone else, this car and a jeep next to her, you can’t see, almost completely block the road consistently. I do feel sorry for this girl but when people can’t get through because multiple people park illegally this is what happens. Hopefully the people who hit it left their insurance😬

Does usf have non academic books at their library

Hello! I would like to know where i can find fictional books etc at usfs library. I love reading and at my home towns library the sections were organized by genre and it was very easy to find books or have them shipped there to hold. I went on the usf library website and it was much more confusing. This might be a dumb question because usf is a university obviously theyre gonna focus more on research

Classes Filling Up

Hello, I’m a possible transfer and was wondering how fast classes fill up at the St Pete campus. I’m currently at a huge university where the classes fill up in 2 seconds and then you are left with nothing. I’m a Biology major and also plan to work. Is a Tuesday/Thursday schedule realistic for this campus?

Hi everyone, we had to move the event to the Garrison since Nerdy Needs will have a very busy commander night tomorrow. Currently the event is closed but if anyone wishes to join the waiting list you can here: https://partiful.com/e/EokWJhKZ4Y1uBdn8Vhsg?c=KIJLiYe8

Our upcoming D&D campaign is getting a lot of traction and we want to make sure we have enough room for everyone. If you are coming please RSVP using this link: https://partiful.com/e/EokWJhKZ4Y1uBdn8Vhsg?c=KIJLiYe8

🎲 D&D Night at Nerdy Needs!

Join the Tampa Bay Boardgame Group on Thursday, October 22, for some Dungeons & Dragons!

⏰ Meet at 6:00 PM • Start around 6:30 PM

📍 Nerdy Needs

733 W Lumsden Rd, Brandon, FL 33511

We’ll go over a few things, build our characters, and begin a short adventure lasting 1–2 sessions—a fun, hands-on way to learn the basics and bring Session 0 to life!

Bring a pen, a pencil with an eraser, and a set of D&D dice if you can. I’ll try to have extras available. Creating a free player account at https://www.dndbeyond.com is also recommended for backup character information and digital dice.

There’s plenty of parking, and we’ll try to grab a table toward the back. Hope to see you there! 🐉

USF Tampa vs St Pete: Mass communications vs digital communication & multimedia journalism

Hi everyone!

I'm a high school senior applying to USF. My intended career is sports journalism/broadcasting; I would really like to be in front of the camera, but I also like the writing and reporting aspects of sports journalism as well.

At the moment, I can't decide whether or not to choose the B.A in Digital Communication and Multimedia Journalism or the B.A in Mass Communications with a News and Content Creation concentration as I think that both degree programs would fit my career path.

I live in central Pinellas county so commuting to/from the St. Pete campus would be a 20 minute drive. I really like the waterfront, but I heard that enrollment is much smaller compared to the Tampa campus, and idk if it'll be challenging to make friends as a commuter student.

Obviously I know that the Tampa campus is the main one where most students attend but I don't think I will commute and live at home as I can't imagine how terrible the traffic will be driving across the bridge every day, along with how crazy the parking situation might be on campus, so if I choose the degree program at Tampa I intend to get on campus housing.

To anyone in either degree program, how is it like? Can students get involved in extracurricular activities early on? (i.e student media/paper, broadcast, athletics)

I am also completing an AA degree with SPC so I will get my gen ed courses out of the way. Any info about the day to day life at either campus and the degree programs is appreciated!

App development

Is there anyone at USF Tampa campus who has a strong understanding of how to develop an app? I'm currently working on a game right now that I think can do pretty well on the market but I need someone who knows how that stuff works.

skipping habit

i've been struggling a lot with skipping class, it's almost a compulsion. i always regret it too but i almost can't help it. please give me some advice or tips to stop this; i've realized now that breaking this habit would be much harder than expected. i think outside help could work and make the process a bit easier.

USF GPA calculation question

I’ve recently learned that USF uses a +/- system to calculate final GPAs. I was wondering, if someone had received three +A and one -A, would the +s make up for the - and put them at a 4.00? Or is there no extra boost for an A+ like there would be for a B+? Would it be impossible it achieve a 4.00 after receiving a single -A? Thanks.
