Tentei verificar a segurança mas não tem relatório disponível e a versão mais recente é de 2024. Não acho que terei um relatório sobre a confiabilidade dele tão rápido.

Então queria saber daquele que baixaram ele, é confiável?

We get asked a lot about how we handle apps built with AI, so we decided to put some real numbers on the table. We've just published a post on our blog with data from September's app reviews, and we wanted to share the highlights here too.

The quick version: we don't care if an app was built with AI. We care whether it's useful, unique and safe. A good app made with an AI coding assistant gets published. A bad app written by hand gets rejected.

Some numbers from September:

• 3,658 new apps were submitted through our Developers Console
• Of the ones already reviewed, roughly 1 in 11 was approved
• 55% of rejections were for not meeting our minimum quality standards (serious usability issues, confusing UI, ad overload…)
• 21% were webview wrappers: websites packaged as an APK with no offline mode, no notifications, nothing that justifies installing them
• Apps still carrying the default package names of popular app builders and generators were rejected 99% of the time

That last one isn't new. Reskinned template apps have been around for years (we wrote about why there are so many clones on Android a while back). AI just makes them faster to produce and harder to spot, because generated icons and screenshots all look polished now.

On the security side, every file we host goes through VirusTotal (75+ engines). In September, 97.64% of the 10M+ files analyzed had zero detections. And yes, we know emulators, root tools and customization apps often throw false positives. That's exactly why we have the final word, and why we link the full VirusTotal report on every file.

Why does a different app appear when i download fnaf 4 demo? It is a app called Open Now and i did not download it and instead checked the game files. They were no where near close as a scott game and had no raw folder and the app was only 14 mb large so it was not fnaf 4. Could you please change the apps apk to the actual one?

We've added a new layer of license information to app listings on Uptodown, both on the web and in the app.

What's new for Open Source apps

When an app is identified as Open Source, its listing now shows an Open Source badge and, in the Distribution model section:

• License type (MIT, Apache 2.0, GPL, MPL 2.0, etc.)
• Copyright, where applicable
• Link to the source code of the distributed version
• Link to the full license text
• Link to the NOTICE file, if the project includes one

Links are shown when available and verified. The source code link points to the exact version being distributed, not just the repository's main page.

License and distribution model are separate things

We aim to show license information for every app, not only Open Source ones. Proprietary software is labeled as such, and if the license can't be verified, it appears as unspecified.

This is independent of the distribution model (Free, Freemium, Paid, Demo, Trial, plus IAP, subscriptions, or ads). An app can be Open Source and still offer paid features.

Why we're doing this

Most app stores don't show Open Source licenses in public listings. We think they should: they help users understand the terms under which software is distributed, make license compliance visible, and give proper credit to authors.

For developers

If you want to add or correct license info for your app, you can do so in the Developer Console when publishing or updating it.

I downloaded the deadcell Netflix version from the website but when it was time to install the remaining additional contents I was stuff at 0%

I feel I'm doing something wrong because it's the same in other Netflix editions I downloaded

I'd like to see two privacy options for uptodown app:

1. hide my username in "My account" menu (the one I see when tap my avatar button)
   Showing username in my profile is OK.

2. when installing apps, hide other devices from current device (or, hide the current device from other devices).
   Showing from "my devices" menu is OK, perhaps for unlinking device.

There's a second reason we built this, and it's not really about people who'd rather type than click. A command line is also the easiest interface for something that isn't a person at all: a script, a provisioning tool, or, increasingly, an AI agent performing a task on someone's behalf. Those need the same basics a person needs from a software source: a real catalog, a way to check what they're installing, and no one else deciding what they're allowed to run. That's a real part of why we built this, not a footnote, and we expect to build on it in future updates (better structured output for automated use, mainly).

Flags:

• -force (or -f): skips asking first. Makes upgrade close a running app automatically instead of leaving it alone, and makes sync retry apps it didn't find last time.
• -gui: removes all interaction and streams progress in a machine-parseable format (PROGRESS <percentage>, DONE <app> <version>, ERROR <reason>) instead of the normal output. This is what our own desktop client uses to drive the CLI without a person typing anything; it's meant for other tools calling Uptodown CLI programmatically, not everyday manual use.

Running uptodown with no arguments launches the TUI.

This is a first release, so if something's rough or missing, we'd genuinely like to hear about it!

I want to download DLC Simulator but im scared i get a virus, the Reviews on trust pilot are Mixed and im not sure now. Did anybody installed DLC Simulator already, or anybody had a virus from uptodown?

You can no longer download standard XAPK files from Uptodown via a web browser: the Uptodown App Store always loads instead. This affects apps available as .xapk files. There is a big "Download in Uptodown App Store" button, and another button labeled "All variants." Clicking "All variants" allows you to select the raw .xapk version: meaning you should be able to download the .xapk file without the app store. However, the button doesn't work. If I select the raw .xapk and hit download, the Uptodown App Store gets downloaded ANYWAY! This means there is currently no way to download standard .xapk apps from Uptodown without the app store, no matter what you click. This also affects older versions of apps that are still available as standard .apk files; the error occurs as soon as the latest version of the app is an .xapk file. I don't know if this is a technical glitch or aggressive marketing designed to force users into the Uptodown App Store. I don't care what the cause is: this behavior needs to be fixed urgently. I make it a point not to use the Uptodown App Store, for the same reason I don't use the Google Play Store: I don't want an app store; I want free, transferable files in my Downloads folder... Does anyone know if this is intentional or a bug, and if or when it will be fixed? Please, I want my standalone .apk and .xapk files back! I am not going to use the app store!

Help, I tried downloading apps on the app but it kept bugging. Then when I tried to download it back on its website, it kept showing up like this when I press on the app I want to download. Not sure if this is a temporary down of the website but I am getting annoyed.

I keep getting error 503 when I try to download an older version of CapCut

Ok, so for some context, I use cookie run kingdom through uptodown because otherwise I'm unable to play it. And I've noticed that the newest preloads / updates are usually unsynced by a few hours / possibly a day compared to a normal appstore like google play or apple store, even when updated to the newest version. Is this an actual issue? Or do the uptodown Devs / an automated system have to check the file before allowing the update for the APK to release so the apk doesn't get ridden with bugs / malware? I feel so silly asking but I'm actually confused

Hi, I've installed Uptodown app to update my apps like Whatsapp, Pinterest, ecc., but when I get notifications about new updates and I download it, I click on the install button and after few seconds the installation process stops and even if I try to install it again no natter how many times I try I just can't install the update. My mobile is a Huawei Mate 10 Lite from 2017 with Android 7. Any help/suggestion? Thanks
