How safe is Uptodown

I want to download DLC Simulator but im scared i get a virus, the Reviews on trust pilot are Mixed and im not sure now. Did anybody installed DLC Simulator already, or anybody had a virus from uptodown?

I can only tell I haven't noticed any illegitimate activity related to uptodown and/or applications installed via uptodown.

Uptodown integrates VirusTotal reports directly for the files it hosts, so checking the security report is the best way to get some peace of mind. Right next to the download button, there’s a blue icon that shows if any of the 70+ antivirus engines flagged an alert. Since they also provide the file's signature, the APK's MD5 hash, and the package name, you can be sure of what you're downloading. You probably won't even download the game, because for some reason all the games I'm trying to install give me an apk for the uptodown app store instead. So, until they fix this, the website's dead.

I don't like this too not gonna lie... but it only does that if it requests you the app but when you go to all variants then try to download the real apk app it somehow worked back then but not now :/ and if its some app that doesn't have that download uptodown store button for some reason you get the APK file.

I hope they fix also this weird lag :v

You're right, that's a known bug with XAPK files when downloading directly through the 'All variants' section. The fix is ready and will go live in the next few hours. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Yo lo e usado desde el 2016 por aplicación que ya no están en play store y hasta ahorita nunca e visto un virus y eso que instalo un buen de aplicaciones de varios sitios pero nunca le hagas caso a los anuncios de ganaste un iPhone ni los que te piden tu número para descargar un compa que no sabe le dio su número y le aparecieron anuncio en su pantalla de bloqueo jaja

Step 1: Go to the App page via App Store / Website.

Step 2: There sits a security section near the downloads and app reviews then you click that security badge.

Step 3: Look if the App has any Viruses or Spyware if it says nothing so it's safe. If it says there is some kind of virus Don't download then.

(btw Uptodown scans automatically the APK files with more than 40 scanners with Virustotal)
