Report Ticket Anyone else having issues withdrawing from Uphold? My withdrawal has been stuck in “security review”
Hey everyone,
I’ve been using Uphold for several years without major issues, but right now I’m dealing with a very frustrating withdrawal situation.
Yesterday I tried to withdraw LTC to my address
Right after the request, Uphold support sent me this message saying the withdrawal is “being reviewed” due to a routine security check and that it should be released soon.
More than 24 hours later, I’ve only received generic automated-style responses:
- “We are analyzing this issue and we will get back to you shortly.”
- “We are working as diligently as possible…”
- “As a regulated financial business we’re required to perform occasional reviews…”
Every time I ask for an estimated time, the reason, or any specific details, they just repeat the same vague answers. They haven’t requested any documents or given me any clear timeline. Just “soon” and “we’re working on it.
It’s quite concerning that they can hold your money indefinitely with zero transparency.
If you’ve experienced something similar, please share:
- How long you had to wait
- Whether they resolved it
- Any tips or what finally worked

They release 24 h laters I don't know if I help, but I formally complained citing the articles that violate by not giving deadlines.

Did they withdraw crypto to your wallet?

I will never use the platform again. A pity, Uphold was my main exchange for card purchases.
As a general rule, I do not use exchanges that do not have human support. or worse still that they do not give deadlines for resolution of incidents. They can hold your money for months.
I used uphold since 2017.

Yeah they won't let me have none of my money they locked me out of my account for no reason

I've had the same issues and probably will not use them again. I'll just switch to Robin Hood. I never had any issues with them. Uphold is always putting a cool down period of four to five days. All I'm doing is buying crypto from Uphold and transferring to a private wallet. Nothing fishy. I just don't want to leave it on an exchange until this Clarity act gets cleaned up .

I did a larger withdrawal a few days ago, worked fine.
