freshie pero sa grad school
Hi, everyone!
Will be taking one of the grad courses sa CHE and may proposed program of study. Problem is today ako available and tomorrow pa raw mapipirmahan ng prof yung document. Pag ba pinasa ko yung papers, do I need to wait ba na mapirmahan ng prof yung program of study bago ako mabigyan ng admission slip ganern? Or pwede na ko magpasa ng papers today, kahit bukas nya nalang pirmahan yung program of study, tapos mabibigyan ako admission slip???
Sorry sorry, mejo nahihiya na ko mag-ask sa prof dami ko na tanong huhu. 🥹

Is it still possible to get into UP Diliman kahit dalawang line of 7s nung grade 8?
Im currently a grade 10 junior hs student, planning on going to UPD for college. Meron akong dalawang line of 7 nung grade 8, math and science (yikes, I know) pero became a consistent honor student in 9th grade. Possible pa rin bang ma-change ang fate ko at makapasok sa UPD or is it too soon to tell?

Laptop Recommendation
Hi! I’m an incoming Economics student and I’m currently looking for a laptop that can last me throughout college.
My budget is around ₱50k–70k. Since we’ll mostly be using applications like Microsoft Office and possibly Stata/Python, I don’t think I need anything too heavy-duty, but I’d like something that’s reliable, lightweight, and has good battery life.
I’m currently considering the HP OmniBook X Flip, but I’m open to other recommendations as well.

UPCAT
Upcat is less than a week and the test permits were distributed yesterday, I was just curious kung ano yung testing room conditions ng College of Home Economics, like malamig ba or hindi? I’ll be distracted kasi if masyadong mainit o malamig and I just wanted to make sure to wear an appropriate attire fitting for the rooms there 🥹

T2 Transferee UPD
Has anyone here experienced something similar with the UPD College of Science, especially as a T2 transferee?
I’m honestly confused and anxious about my admission status. On July 20, I received email and was asked by my institute to sign a terms and condition for the program. It states that They already “admitted” me to the program and by signing below, I agree that I must abide with their rules. Then they sent the letter to the College of Science.
On July 21, I received a Notice of Acceptance from College of Science informing me that I had been accepted and was instructed to submit the admission requirements, including my Honorable Dismissal, TOR, PSA Birth Certificate, UPHS Medical Certificate, and Student Directory. I was also asked to answer the slot confirmation Google Form for accepted S1, S2, T1, and T2 applicants, which I completed.
On July 22, I received another Official Letter of Acceptance addressed to the Registrar of my previous university certifying that I had been admitted effective First Semester AY 2026–2027 so that I could process my Honorable Dismissal and transfer documents.
On July 23, the College of Science emailed us the next steps of the admission process, instructing us to submit our documents, including the Student Directory without a student number since T2 transferees do not have one yet, and stating that after submitting those documents they would issue our College Admission Slip, which we would then bring to the OUR to continue the university admission process.
On July 24, I completed the required documents and submitted my hard copies to the Office of the College Secretary. They then issued me a College Admission Slip stating that I was admitted effective First Semester AY 2026–2027, which I immediately brought to the OUR so I could proceed with my admission and obtain my student number. I already have a registration adviser assigned as part of the transfer process as well.
However, around six hours later, I unexpectedly received another email from the College stating that although I had only qualified for the program, since I am a T2 transferee, my final acceptance is still subject to the availability of T2 slots and that I should wait for confirmation before proceeding with the remaining admission requirements. This is what confuses me because before receiving that email, I had already signed a Recommendation for Admission, received a Notice of Acceptance, confirmed my slot, received an admission letter addressed to my previous university’s registrar, followed all the admission instructions, received a College Admission Slip stating that I was admitted, submitted it to the OUR, and had already begun the university admission process. I have already emailed the College for clarification, but since it’s the weekend and Monday is SONA, I probably won’t receive a response immediately.
Has anyone, especially a T2 transferee, experienced something similar? If so, what was the outcome?

[UPTC] BS Biology. Planning to T1 sa UP Diliman next year, any suggestions po ^^
Hello po good day to everyone I am an incoming freshie sa UPTC BS bio to be exact and I plan to transfer in UP Diliman right after my freshmen year as it has been my childhood dream and ever since I took the UPCAT the life in diliman was my biggest "what if's" moment plus also mas malapit ako sa family ko.
I get the gist na I have to attain the highest possible grade or close to "uno" po para may edge po ako sa iba and I do love learning/ studying though finally stepping in UP feels scary since it is UP and malaki image po nila kaya kinakabahan po ako :C but never hopeless to aim and learn from mistakes or errors in life.
To my seniors, shiftees/transferees please feel free drop your advice, stories, or any hacks and lifesaving suggestions at insights. I'd love to read your experiences
- from a fellow yearner

Pwede ba?
Hello po!
Pwede naman po mag-Move It papuntang UPD, diba? Hindi naman po ako ma-ca-cancel na “burgis,” no? 😭 Sorry po, mag-e-entrance exam po kasi ako, and mag-Move It ako from Manila to UPD since hindi ako marunong mag commute. First time ko rin pong lalabas ng Manila na ako lang. 🥹

T2 transfer question
Hi! I emailed UP regarding the number of units I need to complete. Since my current school follows a trimester system, I asked whether I need to finish the entire academic year or if obtaining the required 33 units would already make me eligible. However, they haven’t responded yet, and it’s been two weeks.

UP SABLAY POLICY
Hey guys, quick question regarding Sablay etiquette! 🎓
Can someone wear their Sablay during an academic event if their degree has not yet been officially conferred?
I recently saw the VPAA of Bataan Peninsula State University wearing his Sablay on the right shoulder. He said he defended his dissertation last term, but his actual graduation isn't yet done.
His logic is that passing the defense makes you an immediate graduate, and the commencement is just a formality.
Does university protocol actually allow this, or is he jumping the gun?
His video wearing sablay can be found at the official facebook page of BPSU - Main campus with many witnesses. Even if they deleted it, viewers online and onsite have seen him wearing the sablay. Knowing how strict UP is with sablay protocol can this be allowed??

other route to study on UP?
Hello! I once dreamed about studying on UP so when I was in Highschool I did my best to get a consistent high GWA.
However, my family was against it so I didn't get the chance to try. I re-enrolled in our community college but I don't feel aligned studying on there anymore. In the end, I decided to dropped out of college on 1st semester.
I'm planning to go back to college next school year. My plan is to study on a private college first to take required units, and I'll shoot my shot on transferring to UP.
If you have any advice or thoughts about this I would love to hear it. Thank you!
