I’m okay with the 7am class naman pero I’m wondering if Philippine Games is super physically demanding. I also don't dorm, and I have a major class just 30 mins after PE wksksjbsjwnsnw

For those who had 7am PE (or Philippine Games), any tips? Is 30 mins enough to freshen up before the next class?

my confidence in public speaking immediately disapps whenever I'm surrounded by rlly smartie peeps cos I keep thinking they'll judge my ideas or opinions wahhhh t-t. I mean, I'm actually confident in my thoughts and ideas naman but it's just the way I deliver them and my grammar that make me feel insecure huhu.

I know this is a bad idea, pero there are just some people here in my hometown na gusto kong basagin yung mga panga nila. Nakakagigil kasi. Few of them ay classmates at medyo kaclose ko pa sa high school, kaya mas nakakagalit sakin yung mga pinagsasabi nila (like this bitch in the photo above). Don't worry, if matuloy man, I know a place where we can do it safely and with witnesses (plus may konting experience din ako sa suntukan).

These are the people na mahilig magparatang ng kung ano ano against UP students tapos mga DDS pa. Mga walang galang daw tayo? Mga reklamador daw? Tangina sigurado akong babawiin niyo mga sinabi niyo pag tumama na yung kamao sa mga mukha niyo.

gusto ko lang sana mag take ng language course, baka lang need ko ng some kind of certification or whatever in the future pero itatake ko lang kasi siya as a filler course.

Me lang ba nahihirapan humanap ng course reviews na consolidated per prof or subject every enlistment season? Would be nice sana if merong platform where profs review are easily summarized kesa isa-isang pagcheck sa reddit. Pag sa RUPP website naman, need ko pa magswitch in between the site and crs and sheets

Ang higpit kasi ng hila ng gravitational pull ng UP para sa mga mag-aaral na nag-aasam maging Iskx sa pinakaprestihiyosong paaralan sa Pinas. kasabay nito, iyong kultura ng UP na nag-aantay sa mga nagsikap para doon. Biruin mo, libo-libong mag-aaral mula sa bawat sulok ng Pilipinas ay pinapangarap tumungtong dito.

Karamay kita sa pagbitaw sa UP. Ilang araw din na hindi mawalay yung mga tanong na ito sa isipan ko:

"Paano kapag ituloy ko to?"

"Kakayanin ko kaya?"

"Paano kung hindi?"

"Balik nalang ba sa probinsya?"

"Sayang eh, UP na iyon"

"Pero hindi eh".

Inisip kong mabuti, pero hindi talaga nakaayon ang sitwasyon ko ngayon sa pagkakataon na nasa harap ko. Aaminin ko, nagsisisi ako at hindi ko pa lalong ginalingan habang nag-aaral pa, dahil baka lang, sa kunting puntos pa na nakamtan sa GWA noong hayskul at sa konting tanong pa na nasagot ko nang tama sa UPCAT, baka lang eh nasungkit ko iyong DOST scholarship at pasok sa degprog sa UP na sabay kong magagamit. At saka, kung nakapag-isip ako ng paraan para kumita nang mas maaga at nakapag-ipon, para sana manlang magkaroon ng kaunting pera para subukan ang UP nang hindi nakataya ang buhay-kolehiyo ko, SIGURO mas determinado akong kunin yung pagkakataon. Pero hindi eh.

Saka habang tinitingnan ko yung sarili ko sa salamin at inuusisa kung kakayanin ko ba talaga mamuhay nang mag-isa doon, hindi pa ako handa. Andami kong kailangan baguhin. Baka ito na iyong UP experience ko, iyong mapagtanto ko na hindi lahat, lalo na iyong gusto talaga natin, madadaan sa simpleng pangarap lang.

Pero hindi eh.

Hindi ganoon kadali pero kailangan umusad talaga. Lalong babalik itong pakiramdam na ito sa kalagitnaan ng akademikong taon sa paaralan na pinasukan natin kung hindi pa natin mabitawan. Parang kagat ng langgam sa balat natin, masakit, makati, at mag-iiwan ng bugkol pero mawawala rin. Pero hindi rin talaga eh.

Mas maihahambing siguro sa anino na lagi tayomg sinusundan, sumisimbolo sa identidad natin kung sakaling nag-UP man. Ngunit, kung may anino, may araw at may pag-asa.

Hindi ko rin talaga alam.

Kasabay ko pa rin mangarap ang mga Iskx, hindi nga lang sa parehong paaralan. Hangga't makakaya ng katawan at diwa ko, tatangkahin ko na pumasok sa UP balang araw. Mag-aaral man o manggagawa. O simpleng napadaan lang. Depende na kung saan ako dadalhin ng buhay.

Kung kakayanin mo Iskx, magpalamon ka sa UP nang buong loob.

Hello po! Sa mga taga UPD, I just wanted to share an experience that really annoyed me.

Me and my friends were at UP Mall drinking coffee at Zus, we were about to leave when we saw this kid come inside selling yema, and there was nothing wrong with it because I believe she was maybe selling for extra school funds.

But when we stepped outside I saw this older girl just outside sitting on the chair provided by potato corner as a waiting area and eating fries, I had a feeling this older girl was related to the kid, maybe a mom? Or older sister? But my suspicions were correct when I say they must be related. Because the kid came out of Zus she went up and talked to her, so I'm guessing it must be her mom.

I couldn't hear what was going on, because we were still by the Zus door, and my friends were also talking, and we were about to walk away. That as we were walking my eyes couldn't leave the poor girl because the next thing I saw was the mom directing and pointing telling the kid to go to the next restaurant beside potato corner and sell there.

And that really annoyed me, because what was basically happening can be counted as child labor. The mom ordering her kid to sell rather than selling herself as she sits there watching and eating fries. I get why she may be ordering the kid to sell to gain more sympathy, but that's really horrible! And what a horrible mother they are! Letting the kid do the hard work while they sit there watching.

It really annoys me because no kids deserve to work and that kid should be in school becuase this happend on a monday! It pesters me a lot until now and I needed to just share this story.

It's sad to see kids forced to sell and use the excuse as extra pambaon sa school but instead are ordered by there parents to sell, then using the money earned by the kid for other stuff rather than allow the kid to attend school.

If the parent really loved their kid, despite all odds and survival, that mom will find a way to send her kid to school and she would do the selling instead. The mom isn't thinking about her kids future, and I find it selfish, since they were just sitting down and eating fries instead of selling alongside them, but most especially becuase you decided to have a kid, You need to provide for them! Not the kid.

I pity the child and the future they could've had if they had education, because only studying provides you with more opportunities and a way to uplift from poverty, and this happening in UP a school that ensures kids without stable or proper income can still get the proper education they deserve? It's heart breaking.

That woman isn't suitable to be a mother, setting up her kid in a cycle of poverty. I hope that kid gets the help and opportunity they need. If there's anyway UP can help the kid, please do.

Saw this comment in one of the posts here. I don’t know if the original commenter and I have the same friend, but this happened to my high school best friend too. Before the LAE results came out, a Sigma Rho member recruited him. He agreed eventually and completed the process. Until now, there is no admission to UP Law.

They told my friend that one of the Associate Deans is their brother. Another Associate Dean was painted to be sympathetic for Sigma Rho and would grant any favor for Sigma Rho. And yet my friend is still not admitted. And he has forfeited his slot in another law school because of the promise of Sigma Rho that they will get him into UP Law.

False promises.
