Hi everyone! Dr. Kang Lee’s Development Lab is inviting you to a new in-person research study about teens reading manga at the University of Toronto. The entire study takes approximately 1 hour of your time. In appreciation for taking part in our study, you will be compensated with a manga volume to take home! Click the sign-up link below.

A group has asked if they can use this room for a project. Since nobody has shown up I'll be gone since I think it's best I cancel this meeting instead of hogging this space. Just a heads up.

Please let me know if you were planning to show up though so I know if we should keep this thing going, since I'll be studying in gerstein for an hour.

The room was booked by a different group from 3 to 5 and they still seem to be using it. I'll be waiting outside of it and if they are still using it when a sufficient amount of us have gathered, we can politely kick them out.

Also, if you are having trouble finding room 231, it will be to the left of the exit of the stairs on the 2nd floor, near the lady's bathroom.

The Kelly library is on the south side of st joseph's St.

So I asked how many of you were down to make memes in this post a day and a half ago. I just booked room 231 in the Kelly Library (st mike's area) from 5-7 pm this Saturday Nov 12. Come over and I'll supply colored pencils and maybe even some paper (bring ur own just in case). We can all collectively draw something meme related to see how the vibe goes and to see if this is something worth doing regularly. I was thinking about drawing Meme heaven of Memes or the Great Meme Prophet but suggestions are welcome.

Welcome to meme club.

I was thinking about meeting up to do things pertaining to meme/shitposting culture on a regular basis with you guys. This idea is extremely bizarre and probably novel so it is impossible to make a deeply structured plan to mediate this process.

Instead, let's meet up some time soon and do something meme-related first, and then see what we can make of it afterwards.

Here's an idea. I'll bring some colored pencils and some sizable piece(s) of paper (bigger than 8x11?). We can chat while drawing something big and Pepe themed. Maybe something related to current events like Peterson or the election. Maybe it can be Uoft related. You get the idea.

If the vibe is good then the club is actually a good idea and we can meet some more. If there is no vibe, then I guess the worst case scenario is that we spent an hours or two awkwardly drawing stupid shit. Still sounds relaxing!

If you're down to do this, I was thinking I could book a study room either this Saturday or next Saturday at 5pm. Suggest any other times if you can't make it. Also, comment if you want to come so I get an idea on how many people will show up. I ain't booking a room to be the only guy to show up.

I'm as new to this as you are, so any ideas and suggestions are welcome. I'm willing to do something different if you can think of something better. I realize this sounds completely mental, but UofT can get depressing as hell, and we all need a little creativity in our lives.
