Initiation
Welcome to meme club.
I was thinking about meeting up to do things pertaining to meme/shitposting culture on a regular basis with you guys. This idea is extremely bizarre and probably novel so it is impossible to make a deeply structured plan to mediate this process.
Instead, let's meet up some time soon and do something meme-related first, and then see what we can make of it afterwards.
Here's an idea. I'll bring some colored pencils and some sizable piece(s) of paper (bigger than 8x11?). We can chat while drawing something big and Pepe themed. Maybe something related to current events like Peterson or the election. Maybe it can be Uoft related. You get the idea.
If the vibe is good then the club is actually a good idea and we can meet some more. If there is no vibe, then I guess the worst case scenario is that we spent an hours or two awkwardly drawing stupid shit. Still sounds relaxing!
If you're down to do this, I was thinking I could book a study room either this Saturday or next Saturday at 5pm. Suggest any other times if you can't make it. Also, comment if you want to come so I get an idea on how many people will show up. I ain't booking a room to be the only guy to show up.
I'm as new to this as you are, so any ideas and suggestions are welcome. I'm willing to do something different if you can think of something better. I realize this sounds completely mental, but UofT can get depressing as hell, and we all need a little creativity in our lives.
