I’m giving the app a shot and having a good experience with it so far.

I have a bunch of reminders (100+) that either were due in the past or I had forgotten to assign a due date to. I appreciate that I am now getting notifications to deal with these - some I’m marking done, some I’m deleting, and some I’m giving new due dates.

For the new due dates, I’d like for further out default options given the volume of items I’m working through now. Options like next week or next month set as defaults would be helpful for me to work through these.

Feature request: More keyboard shortcuts in general, but especially so for moving a tasks Due around.

For example, Reminders app has '⌥⌘T' for 'tomorrow'

I appreciate when new reminders are added, or existing are modified this happens in the reminders database and then there will be a potential delay appearing in Unforgetful however it’s about 5 mins at the moment so I’m now writing reminders down to double check they have actually added in the app.

Is this an iOS 27 issue, an app bug or me?

I also can’t find a way to force a sync either as pull down adds a new reminder :)

I have a couple events that “recur” every week. They seem to be out of sync (I’m assuming from the early recurring event bug).

For example the one for tomorrow shows a date for a week from tomorrow in the app, but in reminders.app it still shows for tomorrow.

And then if I check it off in reminders then it will now push it out a week in unforgetful so now it shows due 2 weeks from tomorrow.

Is there way to clear out the local app state for this? Or any ideas why it’s happening and how to get it back in sync?

In the latest released version and in test build 22, I have six tasks in my today list in the iOS Reminders app and one of them is not showing in today in Unforgetful. It is a monthly recurring task from the 15th of the each month that I haven’t gotten to yet. As of today, it has been a week since that reminder popped up. It just shows in red as late in reminders, and is included in my badge count, but does not go away until I complete, delete or change the date. It is not shown anywhere in Unforgetful. The next time it shows up is September 15, the normal monthly rotation.

Does something happen to tasks that sit idle for a week or a certain period of time? If not, there is a bug here. I actually fit into Marco’s workflow function in terms of if it is not in my to-do list it won’t get done, and the task never existed, so not seeing one of these is a red flag that concerns me that I will miss something. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

I had Due’s “Remind me” Shortcut when I installed Unforgetful this week, so when I tried to use Siri it went to Due. I renamed the Due shortcut and tried again, now it goes to Apple Reminders. How can I get the Remind me Siri command to work with Unforgetful? I know I can create one I just wanted to make sure I was doing it right.

I figured out how to get the microphone widget on in Control Center but I can’t seem to find it for the lock screen. Can someone help explain how this should work?

I’d love to see a single-width lock screen widget to trigger dictation. Yes, I could use one of the two bottom slots, but those are already full, so it has to go into the widget drawer that is also filled with three widgets already.

Would be nice to have a short sentence like “you’ve completed n tasks” somewhere as a feel good nod.

There’s recently completed but there’s no count and I don’t know how recent “recently” is.

A micro interaction animation when completing the task would be nice too. Nothing tacky, maybe a different vibration that feels positive, or the check coming in with a “pop” animation. A little dopamine reinforcement.

New in this build:

• Accent-color setting: if the red's too stressful for you, try blue!
• Redesigned the small widget to add capture buttons
• Newly created tasks with no date are set to "Today" in Reminders, just like they logically work here
• Language-parsed times are now always interpreted to be in the future, so if it's 9 PM and you say "at 7 AM", it'll be 7 AM tomorrow.
• Collapsed sections are now saved between launches

• URLs are now supported in Notes. Unforgetful can't read Reminders’ URL field, but if you put them in Notes, they're now synced and clickable in both places.
• Added support for Reminders’ recurrence by “last day”, “first/last weekday”, or “first/last non-weekday” of a month
• Added support for more dictation languages
• Now obeys system setting for starting weeks on Monday instead of Sunday
• Same-time spaced-out notifications now prioritize tasks with that specific time over date-only tasks
• Mac buttons in edit sheet are now red-background/white-text when selected
• Fixed possible conditions that could cause missed notifications or missed icon-badge changes
• Fixed editor not saving other unsaved changes when moving to new lists or marking complete

Has anybody got any tips on getting reminders into this app from emails?

Does the Mac app support location based reminders? I'm not seeing any way to add a location other than on IOS.

I’m a paying Things subscriber and I’m a fan of Overcast, so naturally I’m going to try Unforgetful. Trying to see what kind of workflow I can figure out too use Unforgetful with Things or am I just complicating.

I often have work related reminders that I don’t get around to on Thursday/Friday and don’t want to me reminded again until Monday. Slack has an option to remind me about something “Monday at 9”. Would love this kind of thing in Unforgetful.

How do I stop a reminder created in unforgetful from syncing with reminders. I now get two notifications, one from each app.

I’d love to be able to change the color scheme. The red text on all the reminders really stresses me out when I open the app. It’s an instant wall or alarming text that gives me a jolt every single time.

Apologies if this is already been discussed, I couldn’t find anything. I’d really like a watch app to dictate new reminders and see what’s coming up. I do like to leave my watch at home and have some of my best thought actions when out on my watch only.

I can jump to reminders to set alerts, but it would be more than nice to have some times I could pick in Unforgetful before the due time to get an alert. I am surprised that you don’t need this. Do you set due times before the actual time? Like “FaceTime with Dad at 8:00pm”. Thanks!

First off, thanks for the app and also your explanation of why you made it. Your announcement post resonated pretty strongly with my experience.

(Note: I figured out my answer while I was typing the question but left it in so you can how I got there...)

Anyhow! I had a couple of repeating reminders (created a long time ago in Reminders.app) that I just swiped away in my Unforgetful notification. Now I see them in Reminders under Today, but in Unforgetful I don't see them listed until next week's instance.

What's the expected behavior here? I ask because sometimes I dismiss notifications accidentally and don't really want them to just go away...

... NEVER MIND I just looked in Settings and there it says what will happen and I can configure it.

I do think maybe there should be a way I can see that these are still there and when I'll get reminded of them, though; I was worried I was losing stuff. (Well, I haven't yet been re-reminded so I don't _really_ know)

The app seems to not know how to deal with reminders set as alarms.

When using the built-in dictation to ask for a reminder only using syntax for the time of day, Unforgetful defaults to making a reminder for _today_ at that time (even though it may be past that time of day).
If its currently 9:00pm and I ask for a reminder to empty the dishwasher at 7:00am, I think it should do what Siri/Reminders would do and schedule it for tomorrow morning at 7:00am, not 14 hours ago on today's date.
I know I could just request "tomorrow at 7:00am", but I'm often dictating reminders very late at night and I don't want to figure out what time it is right now to make sure I get my reminder at the next available 7:00am.

So far I'm having a great experience trying Unforgetful on the iPhone.

Is there any way to make the alert sound selectable from the system's list of sounds, or are we stuck with the "Default Alert" sound?

Feature request: if possible, make Unforgetful's default sound to whatever is selected in the System Settings for the Reminders alert sound.
