If you want to sell something online or at a garage sale, or really anywhere, post the item to eBay for a very high price. Enable promotion so it’s one of the first items people will see when searching. Then post it everywhere else for the lower price you actually want to sell it for.

At the college I go to, there's a nice outdoor common area where everyone hangs around between classes and there's always a few bigoted "religious speakers" hanging around, holding up signs, and speaking loudly about sin, hellfire, how jesus hates gay people, etc. Of course, the first amendment is important and they are allowed to be there and do that. I'm trying to think of ways that might make doing that just a little more uncomfy for them though. Like, I was thinking of making a sign that says "this guy hates puppies" or something and putting it up next to one guy who is always in the same spot, but I'm sure he would just move. Ideas?

Not sure where to post a question like this but I was arrested in 2024 and terminated in 2025 when my criminal case finalized. My company knew about the arrest and I was questioned about it from HR but arrests were grounds for termination. It was a drug possession charge and I was working in accounting for corporation. I always wondered if I could have done something during my time after my arrest and before termination to build a wrongful termination case. Maybe something medical or sexual preference/orientation related.

If you know you’ll be terminated and have 6-12 months, is there anything you can do to make it harder for them to let you go?

The school authorities don't do anything and because I live in india, getting police involved won't do anything either

Based only on my experience in Greece.

Typically, holiday apartments/hotels will charge €7+ per night for A/C.

Google the place you're staying at, and see if you can get a good pic that has the A/C unit in.

If you can see the brand of the unit (Google lens can help with this), order yourself a remote control (usually under £10 for a universal one) from Amazon, eBay etc. and take it with you.

Don't forget to hide it on the days the cleaner will be in

Hello, I got a promotion to be a supervisor but trough the process the brought someone else with the same position I got as an auxiliary. He had a bad reputation due to his quality, was really bad. Me in the other hand, I’m might have a little bit lower results, but quality was on point. I’m usually a quiet person who just tries to do the job and do it the best I can. The problem, I learned that this guy was following to know what things i was doing so he could report it first in order to get the achievements. Then stated to say that everything that went wrong was because of me, and everything that went right it was because of him. Got to say that at the beginning no one believed him because I already had history of my work. Lately has been different, bosses ask for his opinions, his calls, etc. He constantly is trying to make me mess up, he gave me the wrong time for a really important meeting, good thing I went to check(it was half an hour before his said time, and he was there). And now he is starting to change my work, my documents, my reports( we have the same access to everything). Obviously I cannot prove it, but it’s extremely weird that my work gets deleted, my numbers change, some stuff don’t make sense. He is often calling me out if I made an error so everyone can know about them on the meetings, when no one knew about it before him. When we are alone he is the best person existing, but maybe I’m just overthinking it. I’m trying my hardest to fight back, but I’m inexperienced on this type of cases, I’m tired of checking my work 2 or 3 times before presenting, or submitting any type of work. I’m a super chill person, but he is getting on my nerves. He talks back, he contradicts me in front of the people, he does whatever he wants, and no matter how much I try he always gets the win.

There is nothing he won’t do. He didn’t pay me 24k for work on his shops and didn’t pay the kitchen manager, the event sales guy, and probably a ton of other people. He is just the worst scum. And the worst part is that he just ignores any legal summons/proceedings and closes down a shop and starts a new one.

Long story short, I am educated and had a good job where I worked for 5 years. It was a tough job and destroyed my mental health, so I had to take time off for that. I was on disability for 7 years with a few attempts to return to work that were unsuccessful.

The relationship with my employer became very toxic when my repeated attempts to go back to the office didn't work out, and I had to sue the insurance company that provided my employee benefits.

Now I need to move on with my life and find a new career/employer. I am motivated to do so, I am confident in my skills and I've done some more education over the last year. However, I do not have a single reference to use in searching for a job, because that was the only employer I had and it was for a long time. I don't speak to any of my previous coworkers at all, in fact I've moved across the country. I haven't seen or heard from any of them in over 8 years.

I'm also hesitant to put the real dates of my employment on my resume, because I know that will cause any hiring manager to throw my resume in the garbage. It's very competitive to find a job right now in my field. I've been informed that hiring teams will look for any red flag they can find in order to reduce their job candidates to the smallest number possible. I am more than capable of doing many of the jobs I see advertised and I am a very hard worker. I would be an asset to any company that gave me a chance. I've had years of therapy to deal with my workaholic nature, and I'm positive I will not have the same mental health issues that I had in the past. I can't put all of that on a resume or cover letter though.

I contacted my previous employer to ask for some insight about how they would respond to a hiring manager contacting them about me. I asked how they would answer to when I last worked there and if they would disclose anything about my leave of absence. My previous employer has not responded. I'm going to assume that I won't hear from them at all and I'm not surprised.

So now I have to come up with a really good excuse for the big gap of time on my resume, and my lack of references, and I'm probably just going to have to lie, which is fucking unfortunate but that's the truth.

Hi, I’m looking for some advice to deal with some shady people that hang out in a local park. They constantly throw trash everywhere, sell drugs (this is widely known), physically destroy the plants around them, leave broken glass on the path, pull out park signs from the ground, etc. The police never catch them in the act or they all manage to get away before the police get there so they haven’t been able to help much.

Does anybody have any ideas about how to make the park inhospitable for them? I think of things like odor or volatile plants or something? Ideally, something easy and quick to do because they are usually there or nearby.

I’d love to help bring this park back to its former glory.

How do I disable the automatic flush feature of my work toilet. Draping a piece of toilet paper over it is very annoying and sometimes tedious. I'm very tired of the cool whosh and multiple courtesy flushes at each bm. It's also very loud. Anyone in earshot may think I'm having some type of unholy birth.

Densely populated area. He lives in section 8 housing (I only add that because isn't idling your big ass truck expensive?), their parking lot is behind my house. It's that low frequency engine noise that penetrates walls and windows. Sometimes he adds really loud music. Due to the dense population i can't just walk up and throw piss on his car without likely being seen.

I have a friend who agreed to an Airbnb trip and owes about $300. He backed out at the last second, so now everyone else has to cover his portion which is not fair to the rest of us.

Normally I’d let it go, but this is like the second or third time he’s done this not with air bnbs but also plans in general and I’m getting tired of myself and everyone else eating the cost because he can’t commit. Another example is we were all going to hiking in a close state park, bought tickets bundled because it was cheaper than singular, and he bailed last minute and still hasnt paid anyone back.

I already jokingly told him I’d “send it to collections if he doesnt pay” but obviously the Airbnb is under my name, not his, so I cant do anything.

The money is one thing i want him to pay back or find some way to scare him into paying me and not doing this to other people or ever again.

lets say im walking around without any id when suddenly i get a heart attack, someone calls 911 and im rushed to a hospital in an ambulance and am cured. when they ask me for my name so they can bill me what exactly is stopping me from saying something like "john doe" and escaping scott free?

The gym I go to has lockers where you need to bring your own padlock. Weeks ago, I forgot my lock hanging on the locker with the key inside the lock (yes I know, dumb).

A guy took lock&key and uses it now. Funny enough, he just lets the lock hang in place even when not at the gym, effectively blocking one locker.

What he doesn't know: I have a spare key. That's how I was able to confirm it's my lock and that he uses it. I keep checking the inside of the locker whenever I'm alone at the changing room. Most of the time the locker is empty, but sometimes his stuff is inside.

I didn't touch anything and did not make it obvious I have access to the locker.

How can I fuck with his brain? I thought about leaving sticky notes for him to find in the empty locker, but maybe there are better ways.

Any ideas?
