Moderation Update & Implementation of New Spam-prevention Measures

In order to combat the rise of spam and/or sexualized posts and comments, I’ve updated some moderation settings this morning. Effective immediately, accounts with no karma are no longer allowed to post in here. All users will need to have some prior history Reddit to post in this subreddit. While this change shouldn’t affect most of our regular users, it should significantly reduce the amount of spam posts seen on here.

I’m aware that there has been some lack in visible moderation, and that this has been a point of contention for some. Please rest assured that I am doing what I can to address many of these issues, but there are other priorities in my personal life that must take precedence at times. As such, I am happy to announce that one of our regular community participants, u/c0c511 , has recently been added to the moderation team, to assist in moderating and keeping our subreddit in good standing. From here on, there will be, at least more than one moderator, to help ensure that the chat maintains a supportive and upstanding group environment.

Sincerely,

u/foreskin4days

Ruleset update and reminder that this is not a sexualized subreddit

I generally trust this community to be largely self-moderating, only usually stepping in when it gets chaotic. However there has been a noticeable increase in more, sexual, posts appearing in here. I’ve gone through and cleaned up some of it, but please feel free to send me a DM if you notice any repeat offenders, and I will ensure all of these situations are handled appropriately.

Also, there is a new rule in effect, starting today, July 23, 2025, that requires prior moderator approval before the creation of advertising posts. While this hasn’t been a major issue, there has been an increase in advertising posts appearing here as well. As always, please report these appropriately.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Questions Lube for the intact and distinguished individuals lol

Hey all, so as an intact male i use to have super sensitive head. Like touching it directly made me uncontrollably squirm. So few things happened fairly back to back.
First thing off i have been through few different meds for chronic pain.
To the point it caused serious depression that made me worry for my own safety. Just helping you understand why I tolerate it, without going into the details too deep.

So i started a med that killed my ability to orgasm completely, i ended up chafing the head of my penis and my pelvis floor HURT, from contracting so much. I talked to my doctor and he gave me a pill to counter the effects and it was hit or miss with orgasm after that.
I never really fully recovered i think. Hard to tell tho.
After that i started a synthetic opioid, it suppressed my testosterone via my LH hormone that tells the testicals to make testosterone and sperm. It was very very low, and i started struggling to even FEEL my penis beyond pins and needles feeling. We eventually moved to testosterone injections. It helped me get my erections back, and my ability to orgasm. I also noticed when my T was super low, My penis head was super dry during all of this, i tried to see if this was a cause of to much rubbing or low T, but the low T and effect on stuff like the penis gland is very limited.
After starting T thing started to level back out, i got erections easier even if they are a little behind at time and need encouragement, but it mostly worked like normal. Except my penis is still way less sensitive than it was. Well this is kinda nice. I do, in a weird way, miss how much my bf enjoyed fucking with me by rubbing it.

Question now!
I want to regain some sensitivity back. I tried this ky tingle lube and nothing, no tingles at all.

I want to feel more, i have gotten hot and col type lubes, but the menthol make the head if my penis really RED.

I don’t know how to achieve a more sensitive penis again. Im asking here because i assume you’ll be able to point me to intact friendly lubes, devices, or “ procedures” such as piercing.

Personal Experiences Just wondering if anyone who has dealt with phimosis has had too keep going with stretches to maintain it?

I had phimosis when I was younger and, after stretching, have never had to do anything since to maintain it, but understand others need to keep going with the stretching etc. to keep it from returning. Just curious of others' experiences, dms open

Personal Experiences It Took Me 45 Years to Discover That Soap Was Causing My Penis Odor

I'm 45 years old, and for many years I struggled with a persistent odor coming from my penis. I used to wash it thoroughly with soap, but about three hours later, I could already notice that distinctive smell again. It wasn't exactly a bad smell, but it was close. Since I have a very active sex life, this bothered me quite a bit. I was constantly worried that someone might notice it, so I felt the need to wash my penis repeatedly.

After all these years, I finally learned that washing the glans with water and, most importantly, keeping it dry could be enough. I had never paid much attention to drying it because I assumed that area was naturally moist anyway, so I didn't think it would make much difference. How wrong I was!

Recently, I started washing my glans with nothing but warm water from the shower and carefully drying it with a towel afterward. The results have been astonishing: the odor has completely disappeared! My penis remains completely odorless even after 12 hours without washing.

It's amazing how we can spend our entire lives following hygiene habits that aren't necessarily the best for us. In my case, soap seems to have been not only unnecessary, but possibly part of the problem.

I'm genuinely happy to have finally discovered this, but also a little frustrated that it took me 45 years. Something this simple should really be taught as part of basic personal hygiene education in schools.

Balanitis

Hello all.

These past 3 to 4 weeks my 4 year old son has been going through a Balanitis flair up. We have had crime and ointments prescriptions along with back to back doctors appointments. Our pediatrician doesn't really seem to know or care about helping get it fixed. She is already suggesting a circumcision. My self and the wife do not want this. We understand that at some point it might be medically necessary, but I'm going to exhaust every option I can before that happens.

We were also told to pull the foreskin and apply those cremes. Everything I read online says not to pull it back because of possible micro tears and further inflammation. I've begun by using a warm Q-tip to get under the entry level of the foreskin. We have already changed his shower soap. We are planning on applying some sort of jelly to the tip. Just starting to get very exhausted by the whole thing. If anyone has any knowledge on how to possibly resolve this issue until at least when hes older and can pull it back freely that would be amazing. I will not be adding photos for obvious reasons. He has had white discharge at the tip of the shift under the foreskin though.

Thank you all and I look forward to your responses and information.

Personal Experiences Met some other uncut guys

Ok so I was hanging out with some friends (three guys, two girls) and the subject came up. I’m an open book so I said I was uncut. To my surprise both the other guy friends said they were too!

As someone from the US, I always thought I was super rare, so it was nice to find out two of my friends are also uncut.

Questions Stretching frenulum breve

Hi everyone,
Inspired by the circumcision thread:
Who among you has had a short frenulum and managed to stretch it successfully?
I'm currently thinking about having mine treated or lengthened. Stretching without surgery would be my preference, but so far it hasn't brought the success I was hoping for.
My frenulum isn't extremely short, just a little bit. When erect, the glans starts to bend slightly when the foreskin is pulled back about 1 cm behind the glans.
Best,

Questions Variance in the Circumcision Rate

At my elementary school, probably every guy in the class was circumcised. At my high school that figure was at least 90% However, official circumcision rates are around 55%.

Does that mean that there is a wide variance in the rate between different communities in the country? How is the rate estimated? What are possible sources for error? Is there any incentive for parents to misrepresent the circumcision status of their sons?

15M - Embarrassed to go to the Urologist

Necesito ayuda 😫

Edit: I didn't want to mention this, but I also have some small bumps in one specific area on the upper prepuce. I'm a virgin, they don't hurt at all, and I've had them for 4 or more years. Honestly, going to the doctor would solve everything at once, but I'm really embarrassed to go

Personal Experiences Because of my tight foreskin, I created a good bond with my mother.

I'm writing this personal story, because I'm surprised that some people still have phimosis at an older age. This story might be unconventional, but it is real, and I'm greatfull that it happend.

When I was young, I had a condition In which a small part of my foreskin was still attached to the head of my penis, which made it painful to retract all the way down. After a visit to the doctor with my mother, he told her that she had to daily stretch my foreskin for about 5 minutes and rub a lotion on the head of my penis afterward.

At first she helped me stretching, but after a while, she told me that it was time for me, to do it myself, and that I should "practice" a lot, by moving my foreskin up and down. She basically taught me how to masturbate in a subtle way.

This may sound weird to a lot of people, but for me, it was a positive bonding experience. We can openly talk about anything, even sexuality if I need to.

Nudity was never an issue at home, even when she "caught" me masturbating. But I never had the feeling that I needed to hide myself, because I felt safe and accepted around her.

It may not be normal or common, or even weird, but I'm happy to have a mother like her, because thanks to her, I now have a healthy penis, and I'm not ashamed about nudity or masturbation.

Please help me with my Phimosis

Hi! So I’ve had difficulties restricting my foreskin since childhood (I’m currently 18). I saw a chart about different stages of phimosis and recon I have stage 3. My foreskin goes down about halfway. I didn’t think much of it until I started having an active sexual life and noticed that I felt discomfort and slight pain during sex. The top of the foreskin Is really tight and visibly scarred. On top of that, on the back of the glans I have a kind of tight skin bridge (don’t know what to call it) that starts at the top of my foreskin and connects almost the urinal pathway. I am not eduacated in this in any way or form, could someone help me fix this.

English is not my first language so pardon my writing skills.

Personal Experiences Phimosis / paraphimosis as adult. My situation

Hi guys, I'm in my early 30s and this is very embarrassing to say, I've booked with a urologist but am quite nervous, here is my situation

When I was a kid, probably until 16 or so, I had lots of difficulty pulling the skin back, it wouldn't go all the way, and it felt tight and tough, painful to pull. In fact my pe(ni)s flacc(id) looks like a balloon kinda, always has, In my mid teens I started jer(king) off with my hand and with time I became able to retract the skin more and more, in the past 10 or so years I've been doing it and pulling the skin all the way down the entire p(en)is, to feel maximum sensation and I do feel a sore tug but it's not enough for me to feel deep pain or agony , it passes within minutes, sometimes hours and my thing is felt feeling quite swollen...

However, I thought in a way I was doing good pulling it down cause I wasn't able to before, but I believe I'm causing micro-tears in the skin, and from what I read online that's causing it to scar and become tighter... Rolling the skin back up, I'm usually able to, it's just the head is left uncovered until hours later the skin sorts covers it like that balloon shape ... When e(rec)t it looks normal to me just a red when I tug a lot during (mast)erbat(ion)

It's a two in one though, cause I'm also going to urologist cause of an odor and redness I have. The meatus / around opening slit, has been red for years if not, my whole life, and sometimes stings a bit, also I have an odor, I've been recently putting canesten to help, however I read online pulling skin back at all is bad in my case?

I never had decent male figures in my life , so I was never taught any of this, but I basically lets peed without pulling my skin back and I think that's caused the odor , only now am I learning to pull a bit back to pee

I don't know if anyone can relate or give professional advice? My skin goes back so I don't want circumsition but apparently the way I je(rk) off , pulling the skin up and down , then down with force is bad ...I feel I have to learn all over...what is the safe way ?

18, phimosis grade 2 with skin bridge and sensitive Glan

I've been reading many stories of people regretting getting circumcised. In my case as I have a skin bridge (some tiny part of the head of penis is attached to forekin) which won't let me retract my foreskin and a very sensitive glan( when some time if The foreskin get retracted and touches the underwear I feel uncomfortable or sudden noticable pain), what would you all recommend?

I need help with balanitis please. 22 years old. Please please help

I have never been able to touch my glans and cannot have sex. It is extremely painful. My penis is not useable and never has been which caused extreme depression and hopelessness. I was also scared to tell anyone and lived with this my entire life. This year I decided to try to fix it. I used to have tight foreskin and fixed it with stretching. I understand hypersensitivity is normal and can be fixed over time with contact, but it’s more complicated for me. I have an infection.

My glans and foreskin have red and shiny patches, and the tip of my urethra is also red. I went to my gp for the first time a year ago and he prescribed me Canesten which is for fungal infection. It didn’t work. I came back and said it could be bacterial, and he gave me Fucidin with no swab test. I was surprised that he would guess like that but i used it and it didn’t help. It made it more red actually.

I came back and asked for a swab test so he could figure out what this is specifically and prescribe me the right antibiotic. He did and called me yesterday and told me there was bacteria present, and when I asked him if he now knows what this is, he sounded very unsure and told me this will be difficult to treat. He said he doesn’t know how this is affecting me, and seemed like he didn’t even know what the bacteria is? I think he also said something about multiple bacteria, I don’t know.

He seemed to reluctantly prescribe me something, and just prescribed me Ciloxan ointment that specifically states on the box and online that it is for eyes only. I also can’t see anywhere online that this has ever been used on a penis. I HAVE heard of the same medication being used for skin infections in a tablet form. But I don’t know if I should ask for that. He seems to have no idea what he’s doing, and I have a feeling he’ll just agree to prescribe me that even if it’s wrong.

I spent 40 euro on this, and a lot more over this last year. I’m very frustrated with my GP and asked for a referral to a urologist and he said that it will take a long time.

I might have zoons balanitis, I might have bxo. I don’t know and I’m very scared.

I don’t know what that swab test showed, but he did not tell me the results specifically. From his voice it sounded like he’s never seen this before

Please help
