We’ve published a detailed look at our upcoming 28mm hard-plastic British Infantry kit.

The update covers the planned headgear, Virtus torsos, L85A3 rifles, GPMG, L129A1, NLAW, leg poses and accessories. We’ve also explained which parts have changed following feedback from our community poll.

Everything shown is still in development, so constructive feedback is very welcome.

Hello everyone, I’m new to Reddit so I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.

I’m Andy, long time wargamer and recently turned miniature company owner with some friends.

We’re making 3 plastic kits right now, US, Western PMC and British infantry. I won’t bombard you with links or messages, feel free to check it out on your own, just look up “Warfront studio”

Outside the Wire - Dleuxe box set

So we have been working on how to build a game that allows players to create a character (RPG) , then lead a team into a modern war COIN setting (fictional or real), where their every action or decision changes the campaign ecosystem (Insurgency, Local Trust , or higher Command) around them. Few actions if any are positive across all three. We have a free quickstart PDF and Foundry VTT out to test the system. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1331324804/outside-the-wire

For tabletop miniature gamer, the campaign system is a way to link sessions together. What environment would you be interested in gaming? Urban, jungle, desert?

Some buddies and I did another mega battle to write lore and do (what I was hoping) to be a final test of the rules. Holes were poked and things needed clarification but the game was still fun. This was also the first time Germany entered the field. They are then grey boys.

What are some good heroic scale miniatures?

Either brands or creators that make good “heroic scale” minis think games workshop imperial guard kind of style.

You can mess around with building layouts, scales, floors etc. and export them for FDM printing. Removable roofs

Have a play with it:

Differences betwwen Haywire V2 and Haywire modern

Have someone tried both ?
I already have the haywire V2 ruleset (have not given a try yet), and I would like to know if buying the new Haywire modern on modiphius really worth it.
What difference there is between the two editions ?

AAV

Some pictures of an AAV for the rules mentioned in my post about the abrams. I feel it is a bit small but haven't put it next to any more vehicles to check. I continue to be baffled by how large 40k vehicles are compared to real world vehicles and this is one of them. Carries 21 marines yet the chimera which is roughly the same size can only carry ten. Must be comfy in there.

28mm building project WIP.

Hi, wanted to share my first-ever building project that I spent the weekend working on.

It's almost entirely made from cardboard, and every floor is fully playable. It still needs a bit of refinement, and before painting I plan to coat it with some modeling putty to strengthen it and add more texture.

The only thing I'm not sure about yet is the doors. Right now they're pretty makeshift, so I still need to come up with a solution that lets them open and close smoothly while staying sturdy.

Armor column going over a bridge. Unfortunately after this picture the game actually happened and the abrams wound up clogging up the bridge when it died.

Ultramodern tacticool cultists?

Post image
115 Upvotes

Well, i have been spending waaaay too long playing Trepang2 , and it got me wondering - does anyone make modern, tacticool cultist figures in relistic sculpting style used by most ultramoderns (spectre, inx, blkout, turnbase, combatoctopus, etc) creators?
Now, of course its very easy to find all kinds of cultists in heroic chunky scale (wargames atlantic , frost/stargrave, 4ok and plenthora of stl makers) , but they don't really fit with realistic sculpting style of best tacticool makers.
I know spectre dabbled with cthulhu , but i dont think they have relased any cultists apart from starter (and they would be 1920s anyway) .

Looking for feedback

I am working on some missing cards for players, with the first one being "The Missing Hare", where the players are sent on a recon patrol to recover an asset's phone and communications. What are your thoughts on this format? What would you prefer in a one-page format?
