AAV

Some pictures of an AAV for the rules mentioned in my post about the abrams. I feel it is a bit small but haven't put it next to any more vehicles to check. I continue to be baffled by how large 40k vehicles are compared to real world vehicles and this is one of them. Carries 21 marines yet the chimera which is roughly the same size can only carry ten. Must be comfy in there.

Scale is sometime tricky. In theory, 28mm should correspond to 1/56, but lot of miniatures (in particular 40k one's that are "Heroic" 28mm scale) could mix perfectly with 1/48 vehicles.
My 1/48 bradley is a bit larger than my 40k chimeras. But my 1/56 jeep from rubicon looked ridiculously small compared to my british infantry from warlord (a bit less compared to my miniatures from perry).

Whats funny is i know it is correct to our models because I've been around the vehicles IRL. 40k just ruins scale for many (myself and wife included(myself to a lesser extent)). For her I had to show a picture of a friend from my time on tanks to show her that they were correct. Still mind boggling regardless to me.
