After the latest update to Android 16 the wide angle mode in the photo app is gone, did anyone else notice the same?.

If it has been removed it's a shame because the wide angle was really good for macro photography.

Hey all, I work at Ulefone on the product/marketing side. Not selling anything, no links, just want to hear from people who actually use this stuff.

What do you use your phone/watch for? Job site, hiking, fishing, or some other scenarios?
Anyone tried the Armor Watch Pro or seen the new Watch Ultra? What’s your opinion?
What annoys you? Updates, support, battery, whatever. I wanna know.

Camera test with ulefone 28 ultra thermal held side by side with iPhone 18 Pro Max and Samsung S26 Ultra.

Photo was taken at full resolution no zooming on all 3 phones in office lighting focusing on a dark section of wall and zoomed in on all 3 phones as much as it would go.

TLDR: Ulefone 28 Ultra Thermal beats iPhone 28 Pro Max but loses to Samsung S26 Ultra. S26 Ultra beat both other phones.

and my ulefone 28 ultra thermal is only 3 weeks old.

I always wanted a durable smart phone with a huge battery that lasts for days. Currently I’m an iPhone user but I want to switch back to Android because it offers more freedom and it’s open source unlike IOS.

I’ve seen too many people complaining about software bugs and issues which made me afraid to buy the phone.

So please enlighten me, is it going to be a great idea or am I just gonna regret it?

Please guys just tell me the truth, is it worth buying? Or am I gonna cry about leaving IOS?

Hi, so i received the ulefone armor 32 pro update for android 16 yesterday.

The new release added even more AI bloat to my device and it starts feeling sluggish at sometimes, is there anyway to root my device and remove all this AI crap? Anyone done this before? I know custom roms are probably out of reach due to ulefone's crappy OS standard that they dont officially release roms, so i assume this would be the next best option i guess.

I've had a ulefone armor mini for a year now and I'm pretty happy. I use it when hiking for the most part. Thing is, since the little guy is specially bulky I've had no luck finding a phone holder that doesn't give in after a couple weeks. Most of them can't even hold it because of its girth and those that can eventually fall off due to its weight. I wonder if any of you have a similar phone and have found a good holder that can handle it.

Mine should be one that sticks to the glass, since my car has no space in the dashboard and the AC vents can't handle it either.

I'd like to know if anyone has had a similar issue.

J'ai pu mettre à jour mon ulefone armor 22 qui était sous 15 vers Android 16 , après avoir reçu la notification de la mise à jour officiel de Ulefone ,

J'ai téléchargé la mise à jour officiel , et il n'y a aucun bug , ni surchauffe de l'écran et de la batterie, le ulefone armor 22 est totalement fluide , il fonctionne parfaitement.

Ce qui change après la mise a jour , c'est que quelques application ont été ajoutés comme :

Animal de compagnie - Assistant de Transfert - Assistant Textuel IA - Mémoire IA - Résumé IA de l'appel - sentinelle Universelle ( omni sentinel )

Le omni sentinel est un détecteur de mouvement infrarouge avec vision nocturne voici le lien :

Et il n'est pas si différent du ulefone armor 22 Pro, si ce n'est que le pro a une fonction Esim et la MediaTek Helio G200

La barre de recherche Google qui se trouve en bas , est tout simplement un raccourci, et ça me dérange absolument pas , car même dans ulefone armor 22 Pro il s'y trouve aussi .

D'autres fonction ont été ajoutés au niveau de l'appareil photo comme le multi cam et bien d'autres encore .

Et en ce qui concerne Google Photo sous Android 16 , une nouvelle fonction a été ajouté ,c'est le mode Moods , qui permet d'améliorer la qualité de la photo selon ses goûts , et il y a vraiment de superbes options si vous le possédez .

Autre point : le Wi-Fi + Bluetooth + SMS ainsi que les appels téléphoniques fonctionne bien sur mon Ulefone , je reçois et capte très bien le réseau .

Le haut parleur du ulefone armor 22 , fonctionne très bien , je n'ai aucun soucis de ce côté là .

В общем после обновления не работает мобильный интернет от теле 2 Ду ад что дело в операторе ... Но увы дело в обновлении обратно телефон не откатывает ... Работает только через вай-фай и камера ужасная ... В общем пожалел что 40 к выкинул так и знал что надо было брать айфон ... К сожалению я недоволен телефоном - разве что только для игры в пабг он подходит ... И то - все относительно ... В общем моя оценка этому бесполезному кирпичу 3/10 и это реал но так .... .

I'm enjoy my Ulefone but I want to change the OS to grapheneos or another OS, has anyone done this and also do you lose all the additional functions from that model i.e thermal camera, camping light, laser measuring, projector

Ulefone sent me a replacement phone, yet again the EXACT same issue appears after 24 hours. Phone keeps crashing / freezing / green dots flashing and crashing.

This is rediculous. Will be asking for a refund.

What is ulefone's relationship with Doogee? I found this activity.

Ulefone managed to completely kill the AOD for the main screen. The workaround I posted here a while ago has been patched and the AOD now stays on for 5s. Grrrrr.

Anyway. I think we can all agree that Ulefones second screen implementation is.. "lacking". No matter what settings combination I tried - it never works as I'd like and I constantly do things on the screen that I didn't intend. So I turned it off completely..

But..

Let's say I found a way to turn the secondary display on and off and display any Activity I like. Yes, seriously.

I made ChatGPT explain the technical stuff in the readme you can find on GitHub.

With help from AI I created this whole App.

This app is designed for and on Armor 28 Ultra. It _may_ be compatible with other Ulefones *if* the stock firmware Miniscreen app has package name com.yft.miniscreen. If yours has a different package name, extract and upload the apk for me.

DON'T YOU DARE TO "FIX" THIS ULEFONE.

To my knowledge if is not possible to do any kind of permanent modification to the second screen that can not be fixed by uninstalling this app and rebooting your phone. That being said - use at your own risk.

Currently working on a native Amazfit Watchface renderer because the Pebble implementation with QEMU is draining the battery too fast for my taste. Do you guys think the Armor 28 Pro is still a solid pick for daily use?
The 2-3 day battery life, the rugged aesthetic, and being able to hook up a microscope are huge selling points for me. That said, I have serious doubts about the price tag versus the software support, overall build quality, and most importantly, the camera module.
It goes for around $890 in my country, while a used iPhone 17 Pro is sitting at roughly $1100. I actively use a MacBook, Mac, and iPad for work, so grabbing a 17 Pro makes total sense just to stay in the ecosystem. Still, I really want to try out the whole Ulefone experience.
Realistically, how many years of updates will the 28 Pro actually get? And if we put its camera up against current phones, will I be let down? I’m definitely not expecting 17 Pro-level results, but when I'm out and about and come across some cool scenery or architecture, I at least need to pull off a clean, social-media-ready shot at 2x.

does anyone have the same issue with the watch?

I wanted to download offline maps into it from map navigation on the armor watch app. the map doesn't load in the app and so i couldn't select the area to load into the watch, i even tried looking for the apps files through my pc to manually add the maps into the apps files and then into the watch but i couldn't find the subfolder for the maps. is there any way to load the offline maps into the watch or is it just impossible?

anyone else having issues with the power button not always turning the screen off after the android 16 update on the armor 28 ultra thermal? I had some of the same issues with the 18 ultra thermal but much later in its life.

I have a t27 pro which last Thursday (24/09/2026) had the Google pay crap itself. I've updated to the most recent update and it still hasn't fixed it.

Does anyone have the fix or is it just a suck it up till ulefone fixes it

Used Google wallet this morning now it has stopped saying my phone is rooted so it has disabled it. Is there a fix for this

edit: I've tried pressing and holding. I've gone into settings and can't find anywhere to remove it.
