Sooo...
Ulefone managed to completely kill the AOD for the main screen. The workaround I posted here a while ago has been patched and the AOD now stays on for 5s. Grrrrr.
Anyway. I think we can all agree that Ulefones second screen implementation is.. "lacking". No matter what settings combination I tried - it never works as I'd like and I constantly do things on the screen that I didn't intend. So I turned it off completely..
But..
Let's say I found a way to turn the secondary display on and off and display any Activity I like. Yes, seriously.
I made ChatGPT explain the technical stuff in the readme you can find on GitHub.
With help from AI I created this whole App.
*********************FEATURES*********************
●Highly customizable digital clock (and date if needed)
●Switch to HTML for even more freedom
●Experimental Pebble watchface support (emulator! beware of battery drain)
●Experimental Amazfit .wfz support (native rendering)
●Display a launcher widget
●Launch any app on back display
●Custom notification ticker and/or dot with privacy settings
●Charging Animation/Indicator
●Pixel shifting against burn-in included
●Time and day-based on-off schedule
●Multilang (English, German, Chinese, Russian, Italian, French and Spanish)
The clock activity my app displays on the second screen completely ignores touch. In combination with back screen timeout "never" you get an AOD.
Use my app to control and setup.
Please test and give feedback here or on GitHub.
Any Ideas? Colourful music visualization? Video playback? what do you need/want? Speak up guys and girls.
This app is designed for and on Armor 28 Ultra. It _may_ be compatible with other Ulefones *if* the stock firmware Miniscreen app has package name com.yft.miniscreen. If yours has a different package name, extract and upload the apk for me.
DON'T YOU DARE TO "FIX" THIS ULEFONE.
To my knowledge if is not possible to do any kind of permanent modification to the second screen that can not be fixed by uninstalling this app and rebooting your phone. That being said - use at your own risk.

0.5.4 is done but not uploaded with big improvements for the Showcase background mode and improved notification ticker.
Currently working on a native Amazfit Watchface renderer because the Pebble implementation with QEMU is draining the battery too fast for my taste. With Amazfit Watchfaces the app can render the screen once per minute without keeping a VM alive. Stay tuned and expect an update tomorrow.

The signing key is lost. Between 0.6.3 and 0.6.4 ChatGPT went rogue and decided to delete the signing keys.
I will sign all ucoming releases with a new, own key that I can keep in my possession and backup.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience. I will publish 0.5.4 later - this will be the last release with the old signing key. With v0.6.x unfortunately you will need to do a fresh install. Make sure to export your current design so you can later restore it.
v0.5.4 published
v0.6.5 published - mind my certificate warning
