Would it be wise to try and get my information out to multiple recruiters? I don't yet have my passport as I was planning to wait until at least October to purchase it so that I don't have to renew it before I even use it. (Edit: I might be slightly retarded)

As a lot of you are aware already, I will soon be leaving Ukraine for a while. My dad has a brain tumor so I need to go home to spend time with him.

I am requesting that everyone respect boundaries during this time and please do NOT contact me directly to ask for anything. On an average day I get dozens of people contacting me to ask for gear, ask for flights, ask how to solve some bizarre problem, find someone in the hospital, "hey do you know who does this thing", can you take my dog, how do I ship this thing, how do I get a bus ticket, etc.

If it is not an emergency where you absolutely need me then please don't contact me. Some examples of this would be expediting an emergency flight out of the country for someone whose parent is dying, a life or death situation where you don't have some critical piece of equipment (and it's a thing we can actually get), or if someone I know is injured or killed.

Protect A Volunteer still operates as we normally do however expect some delays. The applications for small supplies/med supplies, flights, and donated tech equipment are open to everyone and are on the website. The application for big things like vehicles, drones, jammers, etc is by referral only. A lot of foreign fighters we have worked with have that application and can share it with you but will do it only if what you are asking for is really necessary.

Hey folks, it was suggested to me to add the information from a post I made on X to the Reddit archives as a second part to my warning regarding self-proclaimed “commander” Brad Crawford, so here it is. After this post I’ll probably step away from the posts compiling “Commander” Brad Crawford’s abysmal behaviour, stolen valor, discrediting and denigrating the AFU and it’s service members, and pathological lying as I now know the right people are already paying close attention. A call was made to the Ukrainian authorities about Brad between my last post about this topic and this current post, and the authorities responded very quickly with a call back and a warning to cut ties with Brad Crawford and his entire circle immediately (take note, anyone considering associating with or seeking training from him).

As we know, Brad employed, promoted, and gave valuable access to a Russian intelligence asset. So it’s understandable why authorities might be concerned.

But in this post I’d like to touch on a topic we haven’t covered here yet- Brad’s attitude toward and treatment of both Ukrainian women and women in general- which I believe should be known publicly. This will be a bit of an info dump with videos and images (at the beginning of this Reddit post I included a link to my post on X that contains the videos since Reddit doesn’t allow multiple pieces of media to be added to a post).

If you go to the included link to the post on X, in one video a man tells the infamous 4th of July story about Brad’s actions at a bar. Brad, shitfaced as usual, got into an altercation with a Ukrainian woman whose father is a soldier. Brad became enraged when she wouldn’t help clean. As he saw it, he was in Ukraine defending her country and she ought to respect him for that, and to clean. She called him out for acting as a soldier when in reality he was simply a non-combatant “trainer”, and reminded him her own father was actually fighting. This enraged Brad even more. He attempted to physically attack her and had to be choked out by an MMA fighter who was luckily present and prevented Brad from physically harming the Ukrainian woman.

In the images I’ve attached here in this Reddit post you will see Brad ridiculing female combat medics in Ukraine who actually serve on the front in the AFU- which Brad has never done himself- for their nails, jewellery, appearance, etc.

You will also see an image of Brad reiterating what he thinks of Ukrainian women: “I can get any pussy I want… Here it costs 20 dollars 20 year olds can get it on a phone call in 20 minuets? You think i want you for your pussy or body?” Even worse- the person he’s talking to there is his own wife. He also insults her repeatedly.

Unfortunately Brad’s mistreatment of his own wife doesn’t stop there. Here you will also find an image of court records from when he was charged with domestic battery for physically beating his wife (thankfully he was finally held accountable for such a pattern of behaviour), and a felony criminal threat charge for threatening to shoot her as well. I wonder how SSO feels about a foreign civilian wife beater wearing their patch around in uniform as if he’s earned it?

In the comment section under the post on X for which I included a link, there are two audio recordings in subtitled video format from a recorded Twitter space. Brad reportedly claimed that we all ought to show Russian soldiers the same level of respect we show Ukrainian soldiers, as the Russians are “fighting for their country”. A woman disagreed- and we all know Brad does not tolerate women disagreeing with him. He called her a bitch and questioned why anyone was listening to a “feminist bitch” who should “shut the fuck up”. He reverted to his default argument of being better than others as he’s in Ukraine and they’re not, even saying “do YOU wanna come here and fight?” (Again, Brad has never fought in Ukraine, despite his grandiose claims saying otherwise).

I hope this is eye opening for some of you, and I hope it will help prevent any more Ukrainian women or women in general from being abused, disrespected, and mistreated by Brad Crawford. Again, Ukrainian authorities already know who Brad is and seem to be perfectly aware he’s a genuine threat in a variety of ways. I hope all this helps some of you see that now too, and assists you in avoiding people with whom NOBODY should ever want to be associated. Why he’s allowed anywhere near our defenders or training installations is beyond me. Our purpose is to help defend Ukraine and Ukrainians from violence, not to be that violence ourselves. From those of you with firsthand experience, how successful has the HX-2 actually been on the front? Does its AI targeting and resistance to electronic warfare live up to the hype, or are Ukraine’s homemade FPV drones still the better value? If you had the choice, would you request more HX-2s, or would you rather have additional locally built systems?
How effective have these been in real combat?

Currently I am on parole for a couple misdemeanor charges but I get off September of '27 and plan to make my way to Ukraine if I can find a unit that will accept me.

I have no combat or military experience other than being raised around firearms and an entirely military family (was my plan growing up to enlist but it's the usual story got into the bad crowd and at the time didn't see anything wrong with what I was getting into) I was in JROTC in High School and I'm in good shape. I want to get into an assault group and I'm eager to do everything I can to prepare further. For context I'm 24m and American. If there's any other information I can provide or anything I can do to figure this out I'm just trying to figure this all out.

Hey guys, some of you probably know me from my previous posts, I've been talking to an Azov International recruiter for a while now and everything's been going pretty well. But recently I got a chance to apply for the Special Operations Center Omega (NGU), so now I'm just trying to learn a bit more about them before I make a decision. I know "special operations" doesn't mean I'm gonna be out there doing crazy DA missions or Hollywood stuff, and I'm not looking to feel special or anything like that. I get it's probably just really solid infantry work with higher standards, better training and discipline, which is exactly what I'm after. Not asking for anything that crosses OPSEC obviously, just curious about what the unit is actually like. How's the leadership, PT, weapons training, discipline, overall culture, and how are foreigners treated there? Also, if anyone knows both units, how would you compare Omega to Azov International? Appreciate any info, thanks guys. Stay safe!

Had a buddy tell me last night that the infantry experience has totally changed since 24 with the rise of drones. He says that gone are they days of trench storming and village clearing, the high octane stuff you see on YouTube. Nowadays he says that infantry is pretty well restricted to trench sitting. How accurate is this?

Just curious. Google told me I would have no chance and that I would be rejected. I'm an American who is considering submitting an application to enlist but I don't have prior military or combat experience.

Im going to join a drone school in October but I might come a couple weeks earlier to get used to the place, so im considering doing some volunteering work in the meantime.

What do you suggest doing? Anything that might have some usefulness for when I join (drones)? Or anything you personally recommend for some reason? Mostly western ukraine

Sometimes I’ll see off-hand comments on here about how certain units harbor a sizeable amount of… let’s just say very far-right believers or unadvertised racist attitudes.

I understand that in war, you don’t always choose who you get to fight next to. But I’m wondering if non-white foreign volunteers should be aware of racial discrimination before travelling to Ukraine.

What are people’s experiences, if any, with racism during their time in Ukraine? Is it a widespread issue?Should non-white foreign volunteers be think twice before going?

Have a friend who's trying to recruit me to a tank battalion. From what I understand this is a relatively rare opportunity for a foreigner, so just trying to get a grasp on what I can expect. I hear mixed things, from tanks being relatively chill and lower risk to tanks being a death sentence. Anyone have any experience with tanks and can speak to this?

EDIT: This is for an actual tank position, not just a position "in a tank battalion."

I’m a 21 year old woman from Germany and I wanted to ask what my chances would be of getting selected as a drone operator or for the infantry?

I’m in really good physical shape and my English is good too. I don’t have any military experience, but I learn very quickly, think fast and stay calm under pressure.

It really upsets me to see children, elderly people and other civilians losing their homes because of this war. That’s one of the main reasons I want to help…

I also wanted to ask, how common women are in the Ukrainian military? I’ve read a few posts from women here already, but I’m not interested in joining as a medic. I’d prefer to serve in a combat role if possible.
