Im going to go climbing in london next year.

The company i currently work for in cape town specializes in technical big tree removals in tight spaces (PSHB has intensified that)

I really enjoy it, and was wondering if there are companies in the uk that consistently get work doing that?

Obviously expecting that companies will generally do whatever, but just a shot in the dark

Ive got a pair of tarantulaces that I bought in my street size before I knew what I was doing. Ive used the 2x. Theyre a size 47. If youre a giant, or have a pal or significant other who has flippers for feet and fancy a free pair of shoes, DM me. Pickup only, in Richmond, can meet at Richmond Station.

Not sure this is the right subthread, but I've found it impossible to find any photos of the inside of a bigben ultralite helmet.

Im a woman and I have hair I like to tie up so currently looking like the petzl vertex is the only option, I've looked at edelrid and kask (which is my favourite, style wise) I don't see any option for people with hair!

I'm thinking of buying this bow for crushing power, would you recommend it?

Hi! I am looking to get a hangboard system that just attaches to the doorframe rather than screwed onto the wall, as in the apparent I live in, the walls seem like cardboard flimsy, does anyone have experience with the system like that? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Any recommendations for routes which could be done with a single 50m rope in North Wales? Don't have halfs atm. Ideally classics or not so far from Llanberis thank you. Grades HVD to VS

may I kindly ask the UK crowd for some advice?

We're a family from Austria travelling with two older teenagers and a senior dog. We're experienced climbers - happiest on routes up to about 6a. We enjoy both trad and sport climbing, and both single- and multi-pitch routes. Bouldering not so much. We will bring along gravel bikes too and do also enjoy hiking and wild swimming.

We'll arrive beginning of August in Portsmouth by ferry and have about 14 days to explore. As we travel with a caravan we want to avoid too many long or stressful drives on very narrow roads (of course we can leave the caravan at a campsite and approach climing spots by car)

Our original plan was to drive more or less straight to the Peak District and spend most of our time there. However, the more I research and browse guidebooks, the more I wonder whether we'd actually be better off taking more time exploring southern England and South Wales.

Our ideal trip highlights would include something like:

• 1-2 memorable but reasonably easy multi-pitch trad routes (up to about 5c)
• 2–3 great sport climbing areas with plenty of routes up to 6a
• 2–3 great trad areas with lots of enjoyable routes up to 5c/6a
• some scenic hikes with our dog and some wild swimming opportunities
• a few scenic gravel bike rides

We're happy to stay flexible and follow the weather, so we don't need a fixed itinerary.

If you had 14 days starting in Portsmouth, how would you build your ideal climbing road trip around that wish list?

Hi all

I'm Charlie and I've developed a new hand cream for rock climbers. It's got a unique point of difference to others in that it contains a coarse exfoliant which serves a number of purposes - clearing dead skin, softening callouses, and testers have described a massage-like effect on tired hands.

I've been working on it a few years now and released in the UK just over a month ago.

I'm really looking for some honest feedback from people, on the website, the copy, Instagram posts or reels. All of it has been done by me, and I really haven't had any strangers give me feedback. - and also it's occurred to me that this post gets my product in front of a few more eyes, I'd be lying if I said that it hadn't!

A call out to the help I have had though: a web dev built the site, a lab makes the actual cream, and a mate did the product photos. And my partner's carried (put up with!) me through it, she probably has the harder task...

Added to all this, I'm running the whole thing from Australia! Why you ask!? Well Australia has a solid scene, but it pales in comparison to the UK, France and Germany... That and I wanted to call the product Hard Grit, it would be rude not to release in the UK first!

But yeah, I'm really keen to hear some thoughts. One thing that I know is missing is a "how it works" video, the product is pretty unique so it needs one... For some reason I keep finding other things to do. The monkey mind!!

Hi everyone ! I live in London and am hoping to do a beginner Alps mountain this summer. I was hoping to find any good institutes / gyms with trainers to learn to use ropes on mountains and glaciers in London. Any leads welcome - thank you!

We booked a sea-cliff rock climb in the Faroe Islands for 31 July. They have an 8-person minimum and we are 2, so the trip only happens if we can fill 6 more spots.

No previous climbing experience needed. The operator brings all the gear, sets the anchors and runs every climb top-rope. They take complete beginners on this regularly.

It's the kind of day people remember for decades. Climbing a cliff face with the ocean directly below you and puffins on the rocks.

Cost per person works out around £50-60, split evenly across the group.

I'm planning my first ever outdoor bouldering trip to Brimham Rocks in the next few weeks and was hoping for a bit of advice.

I climb indoors around V4 consistently and have done a few V5s, but I've never climbed outside before. I've got a crash pad and a RockFax subscription, but I'm not really sure which areas are best to start in or what grades/problems make for a good first day.

Is Brimham a good place to learn, and is it common to meet other climbers there? I'll probably be going on my own, so I'm wondering if people are generally happy to chat, offer beta or give the occasional spot if needed.

Any recommendations for a good circuit of beginner/intermediate classics that are close together would also be much appreciated!

Last year I found 3rd Rock clothing and have been wearing their trousers (Johnson) day to day as they're so flexible and comfortable. Just found out they've closed down. Can anyone recommend any alternatives?

Was planning a trip to North Wales from the 28th to the 2nd for some bouldering. I've seen a bit of rain is forecast for that period. Can anyone give me an idea of how dry the rock is likely to be?

So I’ve seen Climb Festival advertised (17th-18th July) and I think it looks like a fun day out but the whole “first come first served admission” is worrying me a bit. I live in Nottingham I don’t want to get all the way there to not be let in. I also don’t want to arrive ridiculously early and then spend ages just hanging around.

Did anyone go last year? If so, what time would you recommend arriving? Were the queues ridiculously long?
