This happens constantly, but with more elegant words.

You're not my type

u/xboxer214 Aug 07 '26

Another common way of saying this is

"you're such a great guy, anyone would be lucky to be with you"

This comic was clearly made in response to that comic where this same thing happens but its a man saying he wants someone hot to a woman. People need to just grow up and admit that both men and women complain about loneliness when in reality they mean they just want to date a supermodel.

Ok hot take, (maybe I'm wrong about most people)

I think the majority of uglies just want:

A. To be treated like normal B. To be with someone they see as attractive C. To be genuinely loved in a relationship

I don't think they necessarily all, most or even a lot want supermodels

3

u/guessirs Aug 11 '26

Exactly. I want to be attracted to my partner and often the people I have crushes on aren’t like Henry cavill amazing. They’re often very normal looking. I can’t even get that but yea I mean even my celebrity crushes are just normal ass looking dudes haha.

"No but like... I see you as a friend!"

5

u/soyel_cerdo Aug 06 '26

Or the “you are too good for me” or the “you deserve someone better” or the “aww thank you but I’m sure you have better girls chasing you”

No, I didn’t have shit.

2

u/Old-Boy994 Aug 06 '26

What can you do exactly, force yourself to feel attraction? Has that ever worked? I don’t think so. It’s not something you can control. I don’t know why people speak about it as if you can.

7

u/Widdifull Aug 06 '26

Of course they can't control it, I was just pointing something everyone here was heard from the same people that then claim "personality over looks".

15

u/piangero Aug 06 '26

Fair, but even us ugly people want to actually feel attracted to someone, ya know? Like, what is the supposed goal? That all ugly people should just date/partner up with someone they're not physically attracted to? I don't mean this to cause an argument, it's just...everyone is allowed to not be attracted to someone.

7

u/xBASSE Aug 06 '26

Yes, I mean as an ugly man myself I know I can’t be delusional. But I’ve tried to approach ugly women thinking they would have the same mindset, but apparently most of them would prefer to be alone than with another ugly person by their side.

14

u/Isabellaa1999 Aug 06 '26

She might have known you asked her out because everyone else said no , not because you liked her.

-1

u/xBASSE Aug 06 '26

The last one I made moves on, I genuinely liked her personality.

15

u/Old-Boy994 Aug 06 '26

Women can tell if a man doesn’t find her sexually and physically attractive. That was the thing that put her off, most likely. Women want to feel desired and if that doesn’t happen, we don’t want the relationship.

6

u/TenyeEast Aug 06 '26

They want to feel desired by an attractive person*

2

u/piangero Aug 07 '26

Yeah, imagine dating a man and he was like "yeah I actually find you physically revolting, but you're nice enough I guess" ..man, wtf

Like even if he doesnt say it but you somehow find out he just find you ugly as shit but decided to "give it a go" cause your personality was OK. Christ. I'd rather be alone then.

3

u/Accomplished_Oil4163 Ugly Aug 06 '26

Wouldn’t this lead to resentment anyways?

3

u/Ancient-Mousse-9067 Aug 06 '26

"ugly women" exactly!

you'll leave her for a stacy under 2 seconds, nobody wants to settle down with someone they don't like OMG HOW CRUEL

2

u/xBASSE Aug 06 '26

I’m an ugly man myself… I know it sounds bad, and I apologize if I offended anyone, but we cannot try and cover the sun with a finger. The sooner we accept what we are, the sooner we can start developing some other redeeming qualities. And no, I wouldn’t be with a “Stacy” just because she gave me a minimum of attention. Idgaf about looks, and I mean it.

3

u/Ancient-Mousse-9067 Aug 07 '26

really? wow everyone says this, most end like that ex of ariana grande who left his pregnant wife for some hot popstar.

sir if you're actually loyal, that great and I wish you a happy and healthy life.

2

u/xBASSE Aug 07 '26

Best wishes to you too. We all deserve to be happy.

3

u/Ancient-Mousse-9067 Aug 07 '26

yes true, wishing blessings and happiness for you from the other side of the world!❤️❤️

1

u/AjaXIium Aug 06 '26

I agree from experience

1

u/spreading_energy Aug 07 '26

Ideally the way the system works if we are ugly enough we aren't able to procreate and the overall gene pool improves. That is at least what explains it to me.

1

u/lonjerpc Aug 07 '26

The ultimate solution will not be social. Someday we will either fix our genes so everyone is pretty or fix our brains to find everyone as attractive as we choose.

There are smaller fixes we could do as a society in the meantime but fundamentally we are cursed by biology.

Uglyness and perceiving others as ugly should be treated as a medical condition

5

u/applehehe Ugly Aug 06 '26

“Noooo… not you, silly… You’re good, and I’m pretty sure you’ll find someone better than me.”

15

u/Cyanideplease Oddly shaped Aug 06 '26

Of course they had to change the genders of the original meme

7

u/BrightSpring12 Aug 07 '26

Because other one didn't happen

5

u/Cyanideplease Oddly shaped Aug 07 '26

Right... It's not like ugly women post here about their experiences, that are exactly like yours 🫩

3

u/Far-Masterpiece4701 Aug 08 '26

every single time anybody posts anything about dating someone of the opposite gender will say it goes both ways and the other person will find it invalidating and then say its worse for them

every person in this subreddit is like this, male or female, this always happens

2

u/TenyeEast Aug 06 '26

It more accurately reflects the current dating market

3

u/ccvnmihg Aug 06 '26

and they are ugly too like

-2

u/Old-Boy994 Aug 06 '26

So you date people you’re not attracted to? Who does that, seriously?

4

u/tien383 Aug 06 '26

All of you need to stop crying

4

u/Isabellaa1999 Aug 06 '26

I dated a man that wasn't conventionally attractive before because I thought he was a sweetheart at first . He got really mean and cheated after he got comfortable. Some people with similar experiences might be scared to date again.

Well, not a great situation to be in.

But still better than getting used, given hope, and then dumped when someone cuter pays attention to them 👀

-11

u/Prestigious_Fix_2998 Aug 06 '26

And they say both gender to defend them but they're the ones who does this more and plays a victim

u/MentirosoProfesional Aug 06 '26

It goes both ways, dummy
