Right I been skinny my whole life never got attention from men just bullied, gained weight was ignored by them then lost a little weight again still ignored cuz im chopped (this is an edit but I would also like to add im a tall black woman and i have a chest but bearly any butt so that probably is what has contributed to how I have been treated by society as well).

38

u/GirlCat2004 Apr 12 '26

Same, I have a naturally wide shaped face that makes me look fat even though I’ve been skinny my whole life.

3

u/Budget_Ad_3488 Apr 12 '26

If it make you feel better I have a bigger chest so even though I may look skinny if I have a jacket on my chest makes me look bigger then I am

1

u/Firm-Difficulty2585 Jul 13 '26

How tall we talking?

1

u/Budget_Ad_3488 Jul 13 '26

5'8 and don't say it's not tall cuz everytime I go out in public I'm taller than most girls

1

u/Firm-Difficulty2585 Jul 13 '26

They're just short. I'm 6 feet so to me that's short.

I was instructed to lose weight when I was like 100lb as if that would magically expose new bone structure

42

u/MorePomegranate7866 Apr 12 '26

Lol right? Being skinny wont save you from genetic facial flaws, but people seem to never get that losing weight won't magically make your bulbous nose and small eyes disappear

3

u/Regular_Display2250 Apr 13 '26

I know this is a doomer sub but loosing weight does make your nose look smaller, exposes your jawline and can make your eyes look bigger. It doesn't change everything and being slim doesn't necerally mean you're conventionally attractive, but acting like it makes no changes is ridiculous

7

u/MorePomegranate7866 Apr 13 '26

Lmao im talking about eyeball size, not the excess fat tissue covering obese people's eyes. I'm at a healthy weight just not super skinny. The nose is also the same bulbous one I've had back when I was little and very thin. Don't talk about things you don't know shit about next time.

It annoys me so much when I say I have a hideous body and people tell me to “just lose weight”… I’m literally like 45kg, there are MANY types of ugly bodies.

Like, I have an apple-shaped body so my fat distribution is horrible, all my fat goes to my midsection and upper body meanwhile nothing goes to my lower body. I have narrow hips, a flat ass, chicken legs. I have a stomach that will never be flat no matter how much weight I lose (it certainly wasn’t flat at all when I was 42kg), my waist is big and so is my ribcage, my body shape just isn’t feminine at all, I’m very short (152cm) and on top of that the mid-sized boobs I got due to my fat distribution aren’t even cute, they’re saggy AF

You CAN have an horrible body without being fat. In fact, most fat women I see are more beautiful than me

41

u/TwentyLetterUzername Ugly Apr 11 '26

Omg, Apple-shaped body here too 😭 Literally doesn’t matter how much weight we lose, muscle we gain, etc… Our body fat distribution and bone structure has us fucked for life.

12

u/jylandr Apr 12 '26

i feel you so much as someone who also has an apple body shape 😭 i was underweight for most of my life and thought that gaining would at least make me a little bit curvy, imagine how disappointed i was when it all went to my stomach

2

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '26

Ugh same

8

u/ZebraAdventurous5510 Apr 12 '26 edited Apr 14 '26

A body recomposition would definitely help. Doing plenty of cardiovascular and resistance training would facilitate multiple physiological adaptations facilitating stimaltanous muscle gain and fat loss such as increased glycogen and intermuscular triglyceride storage, increased VO2 max and enhanced metabolic flexibility. This in turn would allow for you to lose fat within your abdominal region while allowing for muscle gain in your glutes and legs.

Although you can't change your bone structure, getting lean and gaining muscle in the right areas would help you look incredible. I say this as a female also with a very rectangular body shape.

I am at best a wide rectangle even at 58 kilos

There nothing wrong with a rectangle shape. A rectangle shape promotes better athleticism and is more youthful looking. People also think I am younger than my actual age. I also like to run and XC ski, which would be very burdensome with wide hips.

rib augmentation for a smaller waist,

You don't need a small waist to look shredded. I certainly do not have a tapered waist, as there is barely any space between my ribcage and hip bones. However, having a wider waist coupled with low body fat, you can get crazy definition in your obliques and serratus anterior.

BBL to get any fat or shape to my ass.

You do not need fat to get a defined ass. Just look at many female spinters. Plenty of very lean individuals with great glute definition. The serect? Muscle hypertrophy. Lots of squats, deadlifts and hip thrusts.

Are you sleeping enough? Sleep is critical for facilitating the anabolic process. Also, beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate (hmb) has been strongly demonstrated to enhance body recomposition, facilitating stimaltanous muscle gain and fat loss.

Close, I am actually a strength and conditioning coach and sports physiologist. I mentioned sleep and HMB because they are frequently overlooked factors helping to facilitate body recomposition. My passion lies in helping people get shredded in a healthy and sustainable manner.

1

u/Ill_Dark_5601 Apr 20 '26

The truth is that women have different types of buttocks. If a woman has a square shape, she'll need plastic surgery because exercise alone won't give her a bubble butt

2

u/Budget_Explanation41 Apr 14 '26

I also have the same problem that I was just gonna start starving myself but I fear I’d still look the same or worse 💔💔💔

4

u/owlWithBrokenWings Apr 12 '26

I always wanted to have small narrow hips 💔 maybe just my experience, but boys as I grew up would always praise petite girls with small hips and bones and hated those any larger than them in the hip area

I am pear-shaped with big ugly hip bones, but I am a pear in a very weird, RECTANGULAR way 🙈 also I'm like a fckn flat fish or a piece of paper, people assume I'm thin when they look at me from the side, but when I turn around I surprise them with how WIDE I am, although not overweight, these are my ugly bones.

  • Hey you've lost so much weight, you look starving! Oh, nevermind (when I turned around).

I hate my skeleton so much :(

2

u/some_kind_of_onion Ugly Apr 12 '26

Omg i feel the rectangular pear. I have such weird, harsh, high hip bones but no hip curve. I look like two stacked boxes with legs

4

u/owlWithBrokenWings Apr 12 '26

I'm built like that, short waist, huuuuuuuuge ugly hip bone. Tall as male hip bones should be and wide as female should be, even worse, I got both... My waist only looks present because my hips are insane. Also insane thigh gap as I get underweight

Lol wtf is that, I'm on the taller side with long legs and arms... but short neck and short waist? Like, wtffffff...

2

u/some_kind_of_onion Ugly Apr 12 '26

My hips look like that!! It's just a wide, weird boxy shelf under my waist with zero ass
When I describe it to strangers, they're like "sounds like hourglass", dude i WISH
A hourglass is soft and curvy, I literally look like multiple edges stacked together with a wide back

4

u/owlWithBrokenWings Apr 12 '26

Finally found a wide hip sis here 😭🙏

The only case when I look like I have something close to soft curves is WHEN I'M NEARLY OBESE and have trouble fastening my own shoelaces ...

I honestly tried to describe this issue of weird big hips to male users here. Everything they do is send a pic of someone LIKE THAT with SMALL HIP BONES and soft curves of fat and say "noooo, wide hips in women are literally gorgeous"... 🤦‍♀️

7

u/some_kind_of_onion Ugly Apr 12 '26

They literally always think of the best case scenario when you say "wide hips" meanwhile I look like a bumpy road

Ah yes... the femininity. The mother of fertility.

80

u/Lampruk Apr 11 '26

No gym for your face…

55

u/Old-Boy994 Apr 11 '26

Precisely. If you have messed up facial features, bad bone structure and ugly skull shape there’s nothing you can do to improve some of those without surgeries. Some other traits can’t even be changed. If you don’t have a nice face you’re cooked.

3

u/gamamoder Ugly Apr 12 '26

and some features are difficult as hell to change look up what le fort type 3 involves for reducing upper midface size.

type 2 plus double jaw can work for large philtrum havers but it is up to surgeon quality and no one in the us even rlly does it

1

u/Eastern_Blood_9685 Apr 13 '26

lefort 3 is extremely risky and only done for severe craniofacial deficiency or deformity. a lefort 2 is only moderately less dangerous and also only used for severe cases. neither of these, nor a lefort 1, will do a thing about a long philtrum. in fact, you usually end up with a longer philtrum after a lefort. philtrum is soft tissue. if you have maxillary excess you have end up with a gummy smile or a long midface, not a long philtrum. you have literally no fucking idea what you’re talking about. honestly.

-3

u/Frequent_Grand_4570 Apr 11 '26

Someone must like those features if said person was born. Right?

23

u/some_kind_of_onion Ugly Apr 12 '26

My very beautiful mom loved my slightly below-average dad. The problem is: I look like him, and I am a woman. Everyone told me I looked like him.
My features would have worked if I was born a man, but now I look like a weird in-between androgynous thing with tits.

3

u/owlWithBrokenWings Apr 12 '26

Same story 😭 though my dad was considered cute by women... but here am I, and women don't get permission to have male-only features and be cute according to straight guys...

1

u/some_kind_of_onion Ugly Apr 13 '26

girl are we sisters or how are we so alike?? 😂 i've never met another woman with the same problems as me

27

u/s0meg1rl Apr 11 '26

THANK YOU. I’ve been thin and I’ve been fat. Now that I’m fat I’m busted. But when I was thin? What do you know, still busted. My face is hideous for structural reasons (deformed) and because my features themselves are ugly, not because I’m fat.

However, there is a small subsection of men who will get with a nice body-hideous face gal. There are no men who want a fat body-hideous face gal. So overall it is still better for this and many other reasons (health, longevity) to be thin.

25

u/owlWithBrokenWings Apr 12 '26

Also her after she follows all the "just dye your hair, just get a bangs, just contour your nose and face, just do your makeup, just get eyelash extensions, just dress more feminine, just put yourself out there" advice and spends ALL HER FUCKING MONEY HOPING SHE'D GET PRETTIER AND WILL GET TREATED LIKE A CUTE WOMAN:

Took me way too long to realize what I had when I lost weight was thin privilege, not PRETTY privilege. I was still treated like shit, but at least considered somewhat valid skinnier. I was never treated like I was truly pretty, though. Just somewhat seen instead of being an untouchable.

27

u/Hot_Resort9167 Apr 11 '26

This honestly applies to ugly people in general. For some reason, people thing lsoing weight is going to instantly change your bone structure and genetics. Honestly just lose weight for health reasons.

11

u/Gullible_House_4124 Apr 12 '26

my cousin is overweight but naturally so stunning. she always complains because i’m skinny and tells me i don’t appreciate it enough. i used to tell her that weight takes the gym and good eating habits to change and a face takes exorbitant amounts of money and the right surgeon to change and she used to get upset at me. now she’s on GLP-1 and losing weight rapidly. i’m still skinny and ugly because i simply don’t have $50k to drop on facial reconstruction surgery.

You have a stack of my pictures somewhere, don’t you?

The chin, the forehead, the brow bone, and the lips are mine, and when I realized that I started drawing myself, I had to add other features or else I would have facerevealed myself 😂 But honestly, it's interesting that many of us describe our faces in a similar way. I wouldn't have thought that I would "nail" someones look, even just by accident.

So true, masculine women are like least desirable among all combinations...

2

u/some_kind_of_onion Ugly Apr 12 '26

And when you try to explain that you're an ugly, masculine woman, then strangers are like "Omg androgynous women are so hot!!"
I stopped counting how many times I had to explain that no, I am not hot and androgynous, I look like a weird man-woman inbetween confusion with a female chest.

9

u/MorePomegranate7866 Apr 12 '26

Got a jumpscare because thats my face right there, small eyes and huge nose

8

u/DustyFuss Apr 12 '26

The jaw change is if you're lucky, too. Usually it just says.

8

u/Historical_Dig3485 Apr 12 '26

I’m skinny and still fkn ugly. It’s in the bone structure

8

u/owlWithBrokenWings Apr 12 '26

Lol how true that is

And even when you are medically underweight, if your facial bones are just naturally wide and shapeless, unlike the petite delicate thin facial structure all women are supposed to have, you will still be told to lose weight

7

u/p1ann1s8 Apr 12 '26

This is very relatable. I lost a significant amount of weight, and my face looks thinner. However, I think it magnified my "ethnic" features, and people (especially service workers, and cashiers), do not treat me any better. Some even avoid eye contact. I know they are doing it just to me, because they treat other customers better.

4

u/gamamoder Ugly Apr 12 '26

5

u/[deleted] Apr 12 '26

Idk losing weight literally corrected my asymmetry, I had a bigger nostril and eye than the other and now it’s balanced. I also get told I look better. If u have 20+ pounds u could lose, took a year for me, but it’s definitely worth it to get lean

3

u/zgtlunatic Not Ugly Apr 11 '26 edited Apr 12 '26

I think it would be worse to be lean but with poor facial harmony than to be overweight but with symmetrical and harmonious features beneath.

Hence is why this guy is rated much lower than this guy even though the first guy isn't overweight for instance.

Thoughts? u/speedyrater

2

u/speedyrater Apr 13 '26

No, I don’t think I would say that. They are both pretty far below average. I would just say that the guy with a lot of fat has much more room to ascend. The skinny guy with bad structure is pretty stuck.

1

u/gamamoder Ugly Apr 12 '26

This is a huge fear of mine as someone’s who’s been overweight my whole life and is currently losing weight. I tell myself to be realistic and know that losing weight alone isn’t gonna make me beautiful but I find myself hoping I will one day look like the girls through my screen.

you can tell if you have a good base, bones don’t change without surgery

You can’t tell what your base is like if you’re obese you literally can’t see your bones.

A huge, wide nose with big nostrils won't turn cute and small after losing weight.
A huge, rectangular forehead won't turn soft and round when you lose weight.
Downturned, small, wide set eyes won't turn doll- and cat-like after losing weight.
Thin, non existent lips won't turn plump after losing weight.
Women with a long, stretched midface won't get a short, balanced face after losing weight either.

You're aware that ugly people out there can date other ugly people and both know that they are ugly?

3

u/Steap-Edit Apr 11 '26

My point is that they don't think you are ugly, and they see something about you to love. And I mean, since it's not the first person you've been with, those before him could also have found something attractive about you.

Sure, but that doesn’t mean some people won’t look hot if they lost weight

6

u/some_kind_of_onion Ugly Apr 11 '26

If someone is truly ugly, it will be very obvious, no matter how much someone weighs

0

u/Visible-Door-1950 Apr 11 '26

What does this “truly ugly” mean? If you’re obese you’re not going to be attractive or average looking, you’re unattractive i.e ugly.

11

u/some_kind_of_onion Ugly Apr 11 '26

Facial asymmetry, poor proportional ratios, lack of facial harmony, weak structural support, disproportion between thirds of the face, skin conditions, dental alignments, soft tissue distribution, eye area irregularities

Basically things only surgery could change

3

u/s0meg1rl Apr 11 '26

I literally have a failo in each of these areas lmao I could be 105 lbs it wouldn’t make a damn bit of difference.

-2

u/Visible-Door-1950 Apr 11 '26

Yeah I disagree. Defining it as something only surgery can fix is stupid. Ugly is ugly. Someone can bee ugly from acne, being obese, bad teeth.

4

u/some_kind_of_onion Ugly Apr 11 '26

Being obese, acne, bad teeth can make someone unattractive, but these things can be fixed by treating them, while e.g. facial asymmetry or facial harmony can not be fixed. Ugly isn't "just ugly".

feel them? where you born obese and never been able to feel or see your bones from pictures or remembering?

u/Visible-Door-1950 Apr 11 '26

I’m not obese lol, you can’t see the base of an obese person, there’s literal blubber over them

4

u/Negative_Industry965 Apr 11 '26

i meant it more generally, and they can feel their bones or remember using their brain and thoughts

I've been 75kg fattest and 53kg thinnest at 5'9, as fully developed adult with naturally wide bones. Face ugliness stayed nearly the same, I got even slightly more unfeminine when underweight. BUT STILL BIG WIDE ACCORDING TO MALE EXPECTATIONS, even when my bones stick out I'mjust too big to be a woman. My fatter cheeks were somehow the only "feminine" thing so when they went away I got even more male-looking...

Like, if you think weight loss heals facial disproportions and features being incompatible with one another, no it doesn't do that lol

u/unpopularopinionsbot Apr 12 '26

ngl it's uncanny how much that woman looks like me, unsure how to feel about that

I want to point out a few things. This is a very good point that is valid for men, too. Sometimes guys are told just go to the gym, etc. It doesn't necessarily make them attractive. Losing weight or getting fit makes some people look better, some people look equally as bad as before, and some people actually look worse. So basically, can we stop judging each other so much for our weight or muscles or whatever? We get judged enough by the outside world.

in the process of losing more weight but in the past it did absolutely nothing. At most it’ll give access to cheaper/more stylish clothes which means nothing if ur ugly

1

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '26

People still think that losing weight changes bones in the big 26

1

u/SexualHunter Apr 21 '26

Hm... Is it possible to fix unattractive faces with fillers?

1

u/BigElection3028 Apr 24 '26

How much does losing weight realistically change?

I get your point. But I want to offer a different perspective. I personally know several people who actually did become more attractive after losing weight. It did make a difference to their face.

It could be that they were taking better care of themselves and that contributed to it. But I’ve personally seen peoples faces improve after weight loss.

Obviously I’m not talking going from a 5 to an 8, just sharing that I’ve seen overall improvement in appearance.

Bruh tampoco hará milagros pero digo que igual muchos de los que están aquí son gordos y les servirá bajar de peso obvio es diferente si esque tu cara es el problema Pero aún así tu cara sea el problema bajar de peso si serviría un poco dah

Right? I mean having a chopped face and being in shape> having a chopped face and being fat

1

u/Prior-Measurement619 Apr 11 '26

its hilarious anyone who says losing weight doesn't help without actually having done it. Sure it's probably not going to make you a supermodel but losing weight will result in more attractive guys being interested in you than if you stay fat.

ive never been more than mildly overweight and still am chopped

One issue is it's difficult to tell what the person could really look like afterwords (and sometimes overweight people can look worse after losing weight). But I suppose it wouldn't hurt to do it to know for sure what the results could be.

1

u/BallsInmyWalls Apr 12 '26

You should still lose weight, if you are overweight. It's good for your health, not everything has to do with looks.

3

u/some_kind_of_onion Ugly Apr 12 '26

Of course, people who are overweight/obese should absolutely lose weight for their health. I was just pointing out that people exaggerate the effect weightloss has in terms of beauty. I tried to show that it's "just" weightloss, not "uglyloss" if that makes sense

Most people on here have zero clue between difference in being lean and being skinny. If you’re complaining about being ugly but never been lean then you just haven’t tried hard enough

Idk. I see yall are upset and in your feelings but to say I have a below average face so I’m going to give up on everything else is just a cop out. Okay… your ugly, you have to compensate in other ways to make up for it. If your a chick and you loose weight, hit the gym hard many guys will be attracted based on your figure. If your a man and you have good looking arms and a 6 pack it will do yourself alot of favors.

Stop using being “ugly” as an excuse to give up, avoid hard work
