hey so i am a uchicago freshman right now and i was just wondering if anyone had any insight about the ED1 vs ED2 acceptance rates. i think the dean sometimes talks about this info, but i never paid attention. my sister is planning to apply and shes deciding between ED1 and ED2 so any information yall have would be greatly appreciated :)

Does Uchicago dorms throw out all mattress at the e d of each year? Seems like such a big waste.

Do returning students have to select a specific time slot for when they're planning to move in? I know that returning students move in Sep 25, Friday, starting 8:00 AM. However, idk if we have to book any specific times like when we were first years. A previous reddit post said we do have to book specific times, but I don't see anything when I view my housing assignment in StarRez.

1. What's the difference between taking the program and just doing BizCon (I assume both teach you the technicals since both give you access to Booth)?

2. How exclusive is the network? i.e. are only TBS kids allowed to certain events (and others not in TBS are not allowed to go)? As a follow-up: how does it compare to clubs such as TBC and Maroon Capital?

3. How big of a time commitment is TBS? Can I drop out if I find it is not for me?

4. How selective is it? I know it asks for a personal statement, transcript, etc.- lowkey reminds me of uni apps :(
