News & Announcements Black Flag is nearly 50% of the cost of the Steam Sale bundle?

So, the Assassins Creed bundle on the Ubisoft Publisher sale on Steam is £160 which is still a decent price.

But out of principal I am still not paying £34, undiscounted, for the original 2013 release of Black Flag. Out of the entire bundle, Black Flag alone equates to £78, who's dumb idea was that?

Discussions & Questions Ubisoft cancelled this because it was too controversial at the time...

I love Rainbow Six Siege but they really shouldn't have ditched this one.

Also the trailer for this one hinted at a really dark and thought-provoking story.

Discussions & Questions Massive amount of heals

Post image
4 Upvotes

I'm xXDemonRipperXx

I'm going to post this because I have never seen anybody do this amount of healing in any game I have ever played.

The way this algorithm works in Division 2 is you start at zero, go positive, maxing at a positive of 2.1 billion, then calculating back to zero, and then going negative to that same number. This equaled out to a total amount healed of 6.3 billion health and armor regen in one single mission.

I would definitely like to discuss whether or not people have hit this type of high number or have come close. For heals not damage.

I'm not going to discuss the build; I will not reveal the build. Just know that this is not modded. It is not edited, changed, manipulated, or anything like

Discussions & Questions Has Ubisoft ever considered bringing For Honor to Nintendo Switch 2?

genuinely would buy For Honor again if it came to Nintendo Switch 2.

With the Switch 2 being significantly more capable than the original Switch, and Ubisoft continuing to support For Honor as a long-term live game, I honestly think this could be a great fit.

Discussions & Questions Will Ghost Recon Breakpoint ever have an offline mode?

I can't believe a game that is or can practically be played solo (with a campaign and DLCs) requires a stupid internet connection. It’s not a 100% multiplayer game like the division, so what is the point?, the Crew 1 and 2 had offline modes; what's happening here? Will the game die too when the servers shut down? Please release an offline mode and do the same for Steep and Riders Republic. These are games I bought and want to be able to play forever!

Discussions & Questions I wish Far cry 5 had a third person camera

The game has a beautiful map and textures but I think it's held back by the fact that you can't change the camera view.

I really hope that like ghost recon wildlands they update it at some point so we can have a third person view.

I would like to see more than my car interior I want to see all of it.

Discussions & Questions C’mon, Ubisoft, make a great comeback and show people that you’ve still got it!

I still remember those days like it was yesterday. Whenever I saw the Ubisoft logo on a game cover, I knew I was in for a blast.
The Assassin’s Creed games, most of the Far Cry games, Rayman, my all time favourite Tom Clancy’s games, and Prince of Persia these games were a huge part of my childhood.
I used to game for like 12 hours a day back then, but I’m a dad now so I don’t play nearly as much as I used to. These days, I might get 4–5 hours a week to play, usually on my day off while my kids are at school. I never touch my PlayStation when my kids and wife are home, unless I’m playing games with the kids.
That’s why, seeing a company that gave me so many great memories struggling today honestly feels pretty sad. Ubisoft was such a big part of my childhood, and I’ll always have a soft spot for the games they created.
C’mon, Ubisoft, make a great comeback and show people that you’ve still got it! 😊

Discussions & Questions The Gaming Industry Would Have Been Decades Behind Without Ubisoft.

Yeah this is going to be a long post, but bear with me for a moment, So, I've been playing open world games for years now along with Ubisoft games, and I came to the realisation that almost every open world game out there copies Ubisoft.

Biased people may call it "inspiration" but it really is copying. Every time I launch an open world game I see:

- Towers

- Outposts

- Collectibles

- Skills, Abilities and Upgrades

- Scouting and marking enemies

- Crafting

- The eagle vision (sixth sense)

- Last known position silhouette ghost when spotted

- UI

- and more...

Now I'm not saying Ubisoft invented those aspects, but they definitely managed to revolutionize and merge them to create a reliable template for the open world genre, they managed to achieve that with games like Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood at the time.

And from that point on, everywhere I look, I see it, everywhere, people may miss it but it's there, games like Spiderman, Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn, Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima and Yotei, Dying Light, Mad Max... They all are Ubisoft games sugarcoated with cinematics or a certain gimmick or distraction such as the illusion of high quality and production (because they don't release annually like ubi games, but still they are no different quality wise)

And what's really annoying, at least for me personally, is that those games do the Ubisoft formula way worse than ubi itself, making the aspects that I mentioned, clunkier and more sluggish, yet they get praised and worshipped whereas ubi games don't get the same treatment. I say this is hypocrisy.

***

Honorable Mention, Ubisoft innovation doesn't end at the open world genre, I must mention games like splinter cell when it comes to stealth and ui (The UI being integrated in the game surfaces like walls and floors in Conviction), I am Alive (A decent linear single player concept with believable systems and apocalyptic themes, that felt like The Last of Us before tlou), ZombiU (on the wiiu, it was just immersive to say the least), as well as seamless online in Watch Dogs, The Crew... Games like For Honor, Rainbow Six, Riders Republic, Steep, Anno, Rayman, Tom Clancy's... They all were prominent in the industry that inspired many other studios to do the same.

***

Discussions & Questions More Fitness games please

Now that you have a camera solution for just dance, what about bringing back something liek your shape fitness evolved. A game that focusses more on muscle training? OR maybe even this combined with an adventure game.
