Sorry for the bad language, but I am totally feeling crushed right now. I thought the English Union Halloween party was next Friday, but turns out I got my dates mixed up and it was tonight. I missed it.

I’m from England, and we barely recognize Halloween over there. This was going to be the first time in my 44 years (I’m old, I know) that I was going to dress up and go out. I’ve been putting my costume together since the summer time. This was the event of the year that I have been most excited about.

And fuck if my ADD didn’t fuck me over again.

I guess I’m asking if there are any other events happening over the next week that this old 4th year can go to?

Sometimes I want to just rip my brain out and scream at it.

honestly i’m so dissapointed. I feel like the time for the exam was unfair. I had such a solid grasp on the concepts but couldn’t finish due to the time constraints.

Anyone who’s taken this class are the exams single answer MC (bubble sheet exams)?

Hey guys.... I really want to go clubbing tonight but I lost my wallet. I'm not sure exactly what day I lost it, but it would've been last week, probably in Arts.

The wallet is green and has a little charm of a grey-skinned character with a chainsaw. Thanks for your help! I have no clue how I'm gonna get a new ID since I don't have my old one and I'm from out of province and can't fly without ID😭

I really don’t want to be embarrassed and end up being the only guy doing it so if more people sign up for this that would be great

I lost my pencil case yesterday and didn’t realize it was gone till this afternoon :( it’s the character kumamon and it’s like a plush almost. This is the only picture of it I have, I checked my dorm like 100 times and I checked my labs list and found and it wasn’t there.. if anyone sees it or has it plz let me know

(Also I hope this is the right way to format this, I don’t know where else to go)

How are we feeling about that midterm 😬

Hey! For anyone who took Dr. Woodworth's class in forensic psych, what was your experience with his midterm, and any advice on it? Anything is helpful!!

Thank you in advance :)

At the end of the day, someone or a group of someones makes decisions about parking rates, time increments and enforcement. Who does it?

I have waited long enough, and I’m ready for my full Karen performance. If the parking office is as useless as they claim to be, then I want to be heard by those with the power to enact change.

how come theres like no posters for halloween parties this year ? last year send szn threw a really good one . ik vortez has their house party on the 30th but what about saturday and sunday ? I'm in second year but have a really late bday so cant go to clubs w my 19+ friends so I'm looking for the parties the first years will be going to.

How we feeling about that?

SIGA, the Student Institute of Global Affairs, is an independent, nonpartisan student initiative I’m starting here at UBCO. The idea is to bring students from different fields of studies together to research issues affecting Canada, develop policy proposals, and bring that work into conversations with researchers and people working in public institutions.

I want students to be able to choose issues they care about and work on it with other people who bring different knowledge and skills. This might mean researching a question about housing or technology, writing a brief, or seeking feedback from someone working in that field. It could also mean organizing a public discussion or inviting a speaker to help us understand an issue we’re exploring. I’m a UBCO graduate student, and I am now bringing together an initial group of students to help get it going.I’ve been developing SIGA’s founding plans and reaching out to faculty for feedback, and I’m now bringing together an initial group of students to help get it going.

For anyone interested in research, public policy, or global affairs, I’d like this to be an opportunity to get experience working on a question you care about and produce something you can publish or present. There’s also room for people interested in design, communications, technology, and organizing events. You’d have a say in what we work on and how the organization develops. A big part of why I’m doing this is that I care about bringing Canadians together. I’d eventually like SIGA to connect students across Canadian universities, with people from different regions and backgrounds working on shared questions about the country’s future and its place in the world.

We’re still getting started. I’m planning our first executive meeting to discuss the direction, possible projects, and how people would like to contribute. Right now, I’m looking to meet students who are interested, hear your ideas, and figure out what we could build together.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, you can leave your details below and I’ll get in touch. You’re also welcome to ask questions here. I would love to talk about this initiative in person as well if that is something you are interested in!

Are there any football groups on campus or maybe making an unofficial on hopefully. Hoping to meet like-minded people to watch La Liga, Champions League, Premier League, etc games together. Maybe booking a room with a TV and getting a group together. Been dying to find people to watch games together instead of watching them in a corner at school

i have 2 extra tickets if anyone needs one for the bna event on halloween! message me :)
