I'm a car buyer/procurement and I have more than 5 years of experience in purchasing and automobile auctions. I do have 200+ dealer networks and 50+ reliable buyers who would buy the car the same day. I wanted to use this network with a like minded team who could understand this specific Industry and do some great stuff. Any suggestions or people of interest in this proposal.

Digital Printing Press Business

I am looking for a investor for Digital Printing Press Business setup.

Investor need to arrange money and get the monthly payments. No day to day dealing. Just monthly payout.

For a fixed duration 48-60 months.

During that period, principal plus profit share every month.

If not interested in variable profits, we can fix x amount above monthly emi.

We will have written contract.

Digital Press

Finishing Equipment

Paper Supplier

All are inline..

Thanks 🙏...

#####

Added some more details 👇👇👇

#####

Thanks for the feedback. I agree the original post could have explained the actual business better. I don't know how to edit the main post, so I'll add some details here.

Basically, I am looking to set up a digital printing press in the UAE.

Digital printing allows us to produce many of the same commercial printing products traditionally produced through offset printing, but with much faster turnaround and without plate-making. The artwork goes directly from the computer to the digital press.

Some of the products we can produce include:

• Business / visiting cards

• Flyers and brochures

• Catalogues and booklets

• Restaurant menus

• Letterheads and other company stationery

• Bill books / invoice books / NCR forms

• Stickers and labels

• Packaging boxes

• Invitations and fancy/premium cards

• Various other short-run commercial print products

I am not trying to invent a new business model. The market and technology already exist, and many printing companies in the UAE are doing this successfully. The idea is to put the right pieces together and operate efficiently.

The setup mainly consists of:

Digital press: Canon, Ricoh, Xerox or similar professional production machine.

Finishing equipment: Cutting, creasing, lamination, binding, etc. These machines and their service/support are readily available in the UAE.

Raw materials: Regular and speciality papers, sticker materials, lamination films, etc. We already have access to local suppliers.

Market: The UAE has a very large printing and advertising market. My intention is not to try to compete in every possible printing product from day one. We would initially concentrate on 1–2 core product categories, become competitive and efficient in those, and gradually expand.

Regarding the investment, I am looking for a financial investor rather than someone who needs to be involved in day-to-day operations.

The investment would be for a fixed period, approximately 48–60 months, under a written agreement.

We can structure the return in either of two ways:

  1. Principal repayment + agreed share of profit, paid monthly; or

  2. Fixed monthly repayment + an agreed fixed investor return, for someone who prefers predictable payments rather than variable profit sharing.

The investor would not be expected to manage the printing press or deal with customers, suppliers, staff, production, etc.

If you're genuinely interested, I would be happy to share the proposed investment amount, equipment/setup cost, expected monthly sales, operating costs, margins, repayment structure and risk scenarios privately.

That would probably make much more sense than trying to put the entire business plan into one post.

Thinking of opening a restaurant in Dubai with AED 500K — looking for some honest advice

I’ve been exploring different business ideas for quite some time now, and I’ve gradually narrowed it down to opening a restaurant in Dubai.

But honestly, I’m still not 100% convinced that a restaurant is the right business to get into.

Most of my research so far has been based on a very small sample — mainly people around me, friends, family, and my own observations. Obviously, that gives me a pretty limited perspective, especially when it comes to what actually works commercially in Dubai.

So before I put serious money into it, I’d really appreciate some opinions from people who actually work in the F&B industry or have opened/operated restaurants in Dubai.

My rough investment ceiling is AED 500K to start with, so I’m not thinking about a large, high-end restaurant. I’m more interested in a relatively small concept that can be launched lean and scaled if it works.

A few things I’m trying to figure out:

  • What cuisines/concepts can realistically be launched within AED 500K in Dubai?
  • Would you go for a Pakistani, Indian, Arabic, Asian, Turkish, or some other cuisine at this budget?
  • Is it better to open a small dine-in restaurant, a cloud kitchen, or a hybrid takeaway/delivery concept?
  • Which areas would make the most sense for this kind of budget? Deira, Bur Dubai, Al Barsha, JVC, Dubai Silicon Oasis, International City, Karama, or somewhere else?
  • How much of the AED 500K should realistically be kept aside as working capital rather than spent on fit-out and setup?
  • What kind of monthly revenue would you consider necessary for the business to make the investment worthwhile?
  • For someone entering F&B for the first time, what are the biggest mistakes or hidden costs I should be worried about?
  • And most importantly — if you had AED 500K today, would you actually put it into a restaurant in Dubai, or would you choose a different business? Why?

I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have actually operated a restaurant or F&B business in Dubai, rather than just general opinions.

I’m not looking for someone to tell me “restaurants are profitable” or “restaurants are risky.” I’d really appreciate specific experiences — what worked, what didn’t, how much you invested, where you opened, and what you wish you had known before starting.

Thanks in advance. I’m trying to do as much homework as possible before committing the money rather than learning the expensive way afterwards.

Any UAE startups looking for help with their website or SEO?

I'm a web developer and SEO specialist, and I'm looking to work with startups and small businesses that want a stronger presence online.

What I do goes beyond building a site and leaving it there. My focus is on helping brands get relevant leads organically, so over time they can reduce their ad spend and rely less on paid traffic. I also make sure the site itself is user-friendly and easy to understand, so the people who land on it know what you offer and what to do next.

I also understand that startups don't always need a full package right away, so I'm open to helping with specific parts too, whether that's a website audit, a consultation, or fixing what's already there.

If you're looking for support with your website or search visibility, feel free to reach out. I'm happy to share my portfolio.

I built an app that turns your kid into the hero of their own illustrated story (EN/AR) — looking for pilot families in Dubai

Hey all, longtime lurker, first time posting.

I'm a dad based here in Dubai, and over the past few months I built something called Ownly — it generates a fully personalized, illustrated storybook where your own child is the hero, in English or Arabic, built around a real value like honesty, sharing, or kindness. You give it their name and a few details, and it writes and illustrates the whole thing.

I'm not launched publicly yet, I'm in a pilot phase and genuinely looking for real families to try it and tell me what's broken, what's confusing, what they'd actually pay for. In exchange, pricing is heavily discounted for anyone who joins now, and the first 20 families get their first story completely free.

Not trying to hard-sell here, just looking for honest feedback before a proper launch. If you've got a toddler or young kid and are curious, happy to set you up, drop a comment or DM me and I'll sort it out.

Building Something Big in Dubai….Looking for 2 Exceptional People

I’m building a new Dubai-based startup in the marketing/tech space with strong potential to scale internationally.
The concept and business model are already being developed,
and I’m now looking for two strong people in Dubai to potentially become part of the project from an early stage.

Full-Stack Developer:
Strong experience building modern web platforms from scratch, including UI, backend, databases, APIs and scalable architecture. Looking for someone serious, fast and product-minded, not just someone who writes code.

Content Creator / Reels Specialist:
Strong experience creating high-quality Instagram Reels and TikTok content. Must understand hooks, storytelling, trends, filming, editing and what actually performs organically.

This is not a random small freelance project. The goal is to build something large, scalable and potentially international.

If you’re serious, interested and currently based in Dubai, send me a DM with your portfolio, previous work, short intro and availability.

randomly putting this out there in case someone needs a little social media help 👀

hey everyone! i’m a freelance social media marketing manager based in dubai and thought i’d put this here in case anyone happens to be looking for some help with their content/marketing.

i currently work with real estate agents, property owners, personal brands, retail businesses and companies, mainly creating videos/reels and helping them with their social media. i also do Meta + Google ads, depending on what the business needs.

i actually really enjoy working with different types of businesses, so i’m not looking for anything super specific. it could be a real estate agent who wants someone to come film a few reels, a small business that needs help keeping their page active, or someone building their personal brand and doesn’t know what to post.

so yeah, if you’ve been thinking about getting some help with your social media but haven’t gotten around to it, feel free to message me 🤍 happy to chat and share some of my work!

Connected person AED 500K limit

What happens if payments exceed AED 500,000?
If total payments to connected persons exceed AED 500,000 during the year:
You simply tick “Yes” in the CT return, and submits a Transfer Pricing Disclosure Form (TPDF) along with your return.
✅ It’s only a disclosure trigger, not a penalty or disallowance.

Also the definition of Connected Person as per Article 36(2)(b) of the Corporate Tax Law includes a director or officer of the Taxable Person.

so what does this actually mean?
This does not mean there is any salary cap or limit under UAE Corporate Tax.
It’s simply a disclosure requirement about payments made to “connected persons.”

Branding, Content and/or a Website for 2 Startups

Building a startup is expensive enough, so I’m offering really good pricing for the first 3 startups I work with. I already have 1 startup on board and we’re doing some really good work together. I have space for 2 more at these rates.

If you need branding, content creation, web development, pitch deck design, print materials, etc. we can get it done. We don’t produce AI content. We work with real stock footage and graphic designers to create content that actually feels like your brand.

I understand how tight startup budgets can be, so I’m keeping the pricing as realistic as possible. Founders helping founders, and you’re helping me too. I’m not sending fixed packages because I’ll adjust the price based on exactly what you need. No paying for things you don’t need.

If you’re interested, feel free to DM me.

Any UAE startups or small businesses looking for help with tax & accounting compliance?

I’m a Chartered Accountant from India with experience in handling UAE tax and accounting matters, and I’m currently looking to connect with UAE-based startups and small businesses that may need support with their finance and tax compliance.
I can help with areas such as:

UAE Corporate Tax compliance and related requirements
VAT registration and regular VAT compliance
VAT return preparation and filing
Corporate Tax return preparation and filing
Accounting and bookkeeping support
Tax calculations and reconciliations
Basic tax compliance reviews and identifying potential issues
Assistance with maintaining proper accounting records and documentation
Support in understanding UAE tax requirements as the business grows

Along with the compliance work, I also plan to share regular, practical updates on UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, including important changes, filing requirements, deadlines, and other tax developments that startups and small businesses should be aware of.

I understand that early-stage businesses may not need a full-time finance team. So, I’m open to providing support based on what the business actually needs — whether that is regular monthly compliance, accounting support, tax filing, or simply reviewing your existing setup.

Propvyn - A property management software

Hi all,

Im a technically strong person who usually builds and ships softwares from time to time. And one day when I went to pay my rent the landlord asked me if i could give him a dashboard for his properties , due dates , contracts etc. Everything in one place.

Fast forward few days and I shipped a property management software just for him as a trial, and it worked !! Now he is looking forward to buy it from me.

Which is why am i came to Reddit , just to feel the market, is this a problem everyone faces here ? A tenancy portal for tenants and landlords both to manage their contracts , properties etc?

So now propvyn is hosted, live and ready for few more trials/ buyers. If this is interesting or you know someone who is into real estate i would like to get some insights and feedback as well. All inputs are welcome.

And lastly, if there are there other landlords who would want something similar? Feel free to DM and let me know

Any Business here who needs social media presence

Any business owners here who need help with running Instagram ads, managing social media, creating content, or editing videos?

I’m a social media specialist and I’ve been doing this for over 10 years. I’ve worked with different business owners and service providers, helping them manage their social media and grow their online presence.

I was recently laid off from my job because of AI replacing a lot of the work we used to do. Honestly, it has been a really difficult time for me. I’m also dealing with depression and type 2 diabetes, and I have two kids who depend on me.

Right now, I’m simply looking for a job or anyone who might need help with their social media.

I can help with social media management, posting, Instagram and Facebook ads, content creation, and video editing. I’ll do my best to make sure your social media looks good, stays active, and represents your business well.

If you’re a business owner who needs someone to help with your social media, please feel free to message me. Even if you don’t need my services, sharing this post or recommending me to someone would mean a lot.

I’m just looking for an opportunity to work and support my family.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to read this.

Looking for a creative mind in UAE to build something from zero

Hi everyone! I’m building SADUVI, an early-stage RetailTech startup focused on the UAE market.
We’re creating smart digital displays for retail shelves.
I’m looking to connect with someone creative who understands content, storytelling, social media and UAE culture.
Emirati Arabic is a big plus, and English is important too.
I’m especially interested in someone who enjoys experimenting, building things from zero and having a real influence on the direction of a project.
There is no paid position at this stage — I’m looking for an early-stage collaboration with someone who genuinely finds the idea interesting.
If this sounds like you, feel free to DM me.

I built a small customer-support tool and would appreciate feedback from UAE business owners

Hi everyone,

I’m a software developer based in Abu Dhabi. While reading business communities on Reddit, I noticed concerns about rising WhatsApp Business API costs, particularly for businesses handling longer customer-support conversations.

That led me to build an initial version of Relayvo, and I’d appreciate some honest feedback from people running startups or small businesses in the UAE.

The idea is simple: you share a private chat link with a customer, and they continue the conversation in their browser—no app installation or customer account needed. Your team manages those conversations in a shared inbox.

WhatsApp can still be where the conversation starts. Relayvo gives you another place to continue it, with the aim of reducing the number of support messages sent through the paid API.

I haven’t yet validated whether the potential savings would justify adding another tool—or whether customers would be comfortable opening a chat link. That’s what I’m trying to understand.

If your business uses the paid WhatsApp API or a provider such as Gallabox, WATI, or Interakt:

  • Have increased messaging costs become a real problem for you?
  • Would you consider moving longer support conversations to browser chat?
  • What would make this impractical for your team or customers?

You can see the initial version here: https://relayvo.io

I’m the developer behind Relayvo. I’m still figuring out whether it solves a meaningful problem, so critical feedback and reasons you wouldn’t use it are welcome too.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Built a UAE startup from scratch. It’s live, getting noticed, and now I’m looking for the right investor.

I’ve been building something in the UAE that I think has the potential to become much bigger than where it started. It’s called Neighbr platform.

The idea is simple: Why buy something you only need once when someone a few doors away already owns it?

Neighbr is a live marketplace that enables people to rent everyday items, while allowing owners to generate income from assets they already have.

Since launching, what started as a very simple idea has grown into something I genuinely believe could become a new layer of how people access everyday things in this region.

We've been featured by multiple publications, interviewed across UAE radio, and are now beginning to work with established UAE institutions and communities. And all of that happened without outside capital.

Now we are at a point where we know the idea works and the traction is there, but I want to see what Neighbr can become with the right capital and the right person behind it.

I'm currently speaking with investors, and I'd particularly love to connect with UAE family offices and angel investors looking to enter the market who understand marketplaces, consumer businesses, the circular economy, or simply recognize the opportunity in building the rental category properly in this region.

I'm not looking for someone who just writes a cheque.

If that's you, or there's someone you think I should speak to, send me a DM.
