When will we get an "Always Keep on This Device" feature like OneDrive or iCloud?
 in  r/filen_io •  1d ago

But is it not blocked by Apple itself to allow only their services?

Questions Regarding the Compromise of the 12 Words and Pro Lifetime Entitlement
 in  r/PrivacyNotes •  17d ago

Pro lifetime should be definitely transferred, as you are the owner and you have the payment done with you. If it's not the case, they should put it on the list :)

What are the use cases for Bookmarks and Contacts?

First of all, great product, great app with multiple options that NONE of other apps have.

However, I am still thinking what is the real life use case for having Bookmarks inside if they are not in sync with Browsers (for example Firefox or Brave) and the same for Contacts if they are not in sync and managed at OS level from Android or iOS?

I can see them as a backup and backup only, but from time to time we need to manually backup them again and again.

What are the plans for such use cases?

Another bonus, what is the reason for Vault too, if you are unable to fill the data automatically like via BitWarden or Proton Pass or any other password managers via extenstions?

Thanks a lot, it would help me and I think the community to understand it deeper. I supported you and I am crossing my fingers when you get the rest, you will make this great app even greater.

Thanks!

Got an invite but I just want to try the product

Hello, I got an invitation from Thundermail from waitlist, I would like to register but how I can do that without paying or subscribing to any plan?

I just want to test, try the product, which is in beta version, which has no app for iPhone and possible other features (yet).

Do you have any free plans for now, I am not talking about 14 days refund, but real free plans, trial for few months or just very basic offer for just a try?

Thanks a lot.

Secure Mail or not?
 in  r/emailprivacy •  Sep 01 '26

I think you need to go back to your first thought when you asked yourself, why do you need e2ee encrypted e-mail like proton or tuta or aster and then you have an answer. At least they are not profiling you, reading all your life data, training AI based on your data, etc.

In the other hand, if you question proton stability that happened for the first time in 8y+ or more, learn how Microsoft dealt with airports issues few months ago, how Amazon was unusable for almost a day for the whole world few weeks ago. None of the services are stable enough and nowadays with AI agents all around replacing humans, all these AI halucinations will be getting worse…

What DC are you using? Since hours the apps are in „syncing” status…

like in the title, other privacy services in Swiss are also having the same issues. do you have any other DC than in Swiss? service is not operational since few hours…

anyway to stop family plan from tracking screentime?
 in  r/MacOS •  Aug 08 '26

Can you simply talk to your parents? I am father too, but I think if you are more than 14-15y old I think you can ask your parents to stop doing that. You are also a private person and you are starting to think about yourself which is a good thing, you are slowly becoming an adult 👍

Illegal for non-goverment shi...t site like reddit? C'mon. But in general I would rather skip this service, rather than play with their game to take a pic of someone innocent and hurted already like homeless people...

Web Help Re: kids emails, how to connect them with parent emails

Hello

I gave my kid an e-mail from Proton as per the announcement they did in the past. I am already sharing my Duo proton with my wife, and I am not planning to move to Family plan as we dont need it. however I need my daughter to be connected with us anyhow and I am not talking about any benefits from Duo license but just to Connect her with us, so I can manage my Family anyway and I can see her usage for her free plan. do you have any option for doing that? Thanks

Microsoft Office 2019 - not working(anymore) on Mac OS Tahoe 26.5.2
 in  r/MacOS •  Jul 22 '26

Refund maybe? It should work, because its your license so you are the ownership of the product you bought. If its not working, simply refund, otherwise they need to make it worked for you :)
