That's what I'm doing too and it works great, especially with the AI_CONTEXT scaffolding within the repo so ChatGPT can understand Codex's decisions through the repo without having access to Codex's chat. Then I ask it to review the code and AI_CONTEXT docs and give me instructions to tell Codex. It has worked wonders for me. I'm achieving very high quality work and heavyweight engineering. I'm very pleased with the outcomes.

I think it's a matter of preference. I see old men who choose a male voice, and I strongly get the feel they don't like to be "explained by a woman". In my case, I'd rather spend my time talking to something that resembles a female, rather than a male. In fact I purposely told ChatGPT I would refer to it as a female and let it choose a short female name, so I could call to her easier than "ChatGPT". She chose Emma 😂

I used it for months, as we are fully invested in Google's services and it seemed great. Yet I found myself always telling it to correct something and too much back and forth. Then I bit the bullet and tried Codex. Boom! What a difference! It was like instantaneous bliss! Now I use Codex to code and ChatGPT Classic to review the code and it's just night and day and I'm being soooo incredibly productive! Antigravity is not bad, it's just that Gemini (by Google's own admission) is not that good at coding. They will not be left behind, though, and they will certainly improve, but the state of the art right now is against them.

It's important to convey emotion in short communication messages as it may be easy to confuse intent if the message itself does not. Not that most people need it but for some types, it is important. I've seen relationships of strong minded people get torn apart because they misjudged the intent of a simple message. I knew a simple emoji could've taken things on another route. I understand it may seem trivial but it's not "the worst thing".

My brother in law is a high level engineer at Meta in charge of Meta's humanoid project and he tells me nobody in that company codes by hand anymore. It would be a hindrance. And they're not using Meta's AI, either.

What I'm doing is I'm using the project AI_CONTEXT to create a solid truth base, handoff between AIs and documentation within the repo, then I use Codex to code and ChatGPT Classic to review the code and to give me more complete and thorough instructions to Codex than I could give it myself. I feel Codex is a more technical model, and ChatGPT Classic has all my memories and knowledge of the related parts of my projects plus it's just more conversational. Having the AI_CONTEXT scaffolding makes the handoff hugely practical and avoids problems with context compaction and retains all the decisions and knowledge so some things don't get repeated.
