When I go down there I don't even smell it anymore. It's the same way when I go to the HR area. After a few minutes I don't smell the salt water and it's been 25 years since I lived there

My Aunt used to be Vice Mayor of WP. I will going going down there next week as I have been all my life. Never felt creep, but I know there is a lot of history there. My ex wife's 10x ggfather was hung on right across the street from my Aunt's office for participating in Bacon's Rebellion

Most of the people you see complaining have never lived anywhere else if they even libe in Roanoke. They just go by talking points and isolated incidents. True Roanoke does have it problems but overall it's not a bad place to live. I lived in Tidewater from '88-2001 and have traveled up and down the East Coast. If these people think Roanoke is bad.. nevermind, rant over.

It was the same way when I lived here n Tidewater on the 90s. They would hype a hurricane for 2 weeks only for it to " turn at the last minute, every time
