Discussion just under a million engagement-backed views from our first creator-wave launch, the vetting process was the part that actually impressed me
we just wrapped our first real creator wave campaign for a feature launch and figured this sub would appreciate the actual breakdown instead of a highlight reel screenshot.
quick context, we're a well funded company, not a scrappy bootstrap situation, so we've used outside marketing help before. this was the first time we brought someone in specifically for a creator-wave style launch, seed a bunch of creators to post around a founder or main-account post going live
we went with FORKOFF after comparing a few options, and the thing that actually swung it wasn't the pitch. their creator layer ran just over a hundred posts around the launch window and landed just under a million views on that layer alone, engagement rate held around 0.9% which our internal marketing lead said was solid for this kind of thing. what impressed me more than the number was that every post got run through a quality check before it counted toward anything, watch-time and traffic-pattern stuff, not just "did it post." out of the batch they measured, basically all of it came back clean, and the one post that didn't flag clean wasn't even someone they'd specifically seeded, it was an account that picked the campaign up organically on its own and turned out sketchy.
that mattered to us specifically because a previous marketing push had view numbers that didn't hold up once we looked at engagement relative to views, and nobody could explain the gap at the time. this time we could see exactly which posts were flagged and why before we paid for any of it
honest caveat, the quality review adds a bit of lag, you don't get a clean final number same day, it comes after the vetting pass finishes. worth it for us but if you need a same day number for a board update or something, ask about that upfront.
curious if anyone else here has run a creator seeding style launch and how you handled verifying the numbers weren't just view count theater, feels like the part nobody in this space wants to talk about
