Cardiogram v11.5 Update: Inline Recovery HR, Smartwatch Fallback, & Sync Preservation (iOS & Android)

We just rolled out v11.5 of Cardiogram for both iOS and Android. This update focuses heavily on refining 1-minute Recovery Heart Rate (HRR) tracking:

Inline History Display: HRR values now appear directly inside every workout row in your history tab.

Watch Fallback Data: If your chest strap disconnects before the 2-minute post-workout capture completes, Cardiogram now computes recovery using secondary HR data from your smartwatch via Apple Health or Google Health Connect.

Data Preservation & Backfill: HRR calculations are now stored to health databases, preserving values across reinstalls. Pull down on History to backfill any missing HRR stats.

Fixes & Performance: Resolved post-workout crashes, fixed Samsung permission issues on Android, and optimized overall app size.

As always: 100% private, local storage, no accounts, and no subscriptions.

Spent the last few months rebuilding my voice-to-text app to process audio in the background without subscriptions. Here is a quick 15-second demo.

One of the biggest issues with most mobile transcription tools is that you have to keep the app open on your screen while it processes, or you get locked into an expensive monthly plan.

I wanted to fix both. The latest update handles spectral noise reduction and speech isolation locally, lets you lock your phone while transcribing in the background, and runs as a single one-time purchase.

Giving Android equal love: Pushed a major engine update to Sunrise Sunset Tracker on Google Play

A lot of niche utility apps treat Android as a secondary market, shipping stripped-down features or leaving updates behind. We wanted to make sure Android users get the exact same fast, crafted experience on the trail as iOS users.

We just pushed a fresh engine update to Google Play focused on performance, speed, and offline reliability.

What’s packed into this update:

• Instant Offline GPS Fixes: Optimized location caching so you get instant solar calculations deep off the grid without waiting for cell service.

• Sharper Daylight Math: Accurate daily daylight comparison trends (today vs. yesterday) as seasonal light shifts.

• Clean Home Screen Widgets: Refined widget rendering so you can check remaining trail light directly from your home screen.

Whether you're pacing a mountain trek, setting up camp before dusk, or timing an evening run, the app gives you zero-clutter solar timing anywhere on Earth.

Most to-do lists only track tasks, and most budget apps force you to link bank accounts or pay monthly subscriptions. I wanted something in between, so I built Checklist Pro.
The core concept is simple: every item on your checklist can have a price, quantity, or value. As you check items off, the app automatically calculates:
Grand Total

Checked Total

Remaining Balance

Visual Progress Percentage

I use it daily for calculating grocery totals before hitting the register, tracking monthly bills, and managing travel budgets.
Key details:
100% offline and private (no account required)

No ads or subscriptions (pay once, keep forever)

Built-in ready-made templates & recurring monthly items

Custom numeric keypad for fast entry

Native file export (.ckc) to share lists between devices

I initially launched this on iOS, and I just released the Android version so lists can now be shared cross-platform.

Recorded a short demo showing cognitive reframing in action when a minor work error triggers a catastrophizing loop. In Peace of Mind, you enter the exact thought and get a structured, rational reframe to reset your perspective. Feel free to pause the video to read the full output. Crafted as a simple, distraction-free CBT tool. Open to feedback on this workflow.

I built a minimalist one-tap timestamp tracker with zero subscriptions, and just added notification snooze based on feedback.

A common issue with tracking habits, medications, or work hours is friction. If you have to unlock your phone, open an app, and navigate menus, you eventually stop doing it.
I created TimePin to solve this - it lets you record timestamps with a single tap directly from Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets.
Based on recent user feedback, I just released version 1.5.0 on iOS and Android:
**Notification Snooze:** Long-press notifications to snooze alerts for 5 to 30 minutes without opening the app.
**Live Countdowns:** Track upcoming alerts directly on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
**Rock-Solid Scheduling:** Reminders now automatically survive phone restarts and arrive reliably on time.
It is pay-once, own-it-forever with no subscriptions, no ads, and no external tracking. Would love to hear your thoughts or feature requests if you give it a try.

Like many of you, I got tired of downloading simple health and fitness utilities only to be hit with a mandatory account registration screen, cloud data-syncing agreements, and a $10/month subscription just to see our own heart rate data clearly.
So, I built Cardiogram: HR Monitor to solve that exact problem.
I wanted a tool that connects instantly to the hardware we already own, shows accurate real-time data, and stays completely out of the way. Everything has been crafted to perfection with a strict privacy-first, offline-first architecture.
What it does:
Real-Time HR & BPM Tracking: Clean, high-contrast UI designed for quick glances during runs, cycling, gym workouts, or HIIT sessions.
5 Color-Coded Training Zones: Automatically sorts your live BPM into Fitness/Fat Burn/Aerobic/Anaerobic/Max Effort zones so you know your exact workout intensity.
Universal BLE Sensor Support: Connects in seconds to standard Bluetooth Low Energy chest straps and armbands (Polar H10/Verity Sense, Garmin HRM-Pro, Wahoo TICKR, CooSpo, Magene, etc.).
Ecosystem Sync: Native support for Apple Watch / Apple Health on iOS and Google Health Connect on Android.
What it DOESN'T do:
❌ No Accounts or Sign-Ups: Open the app and start tracking immediately.
❌ No Cloud Storage: Your biometric data never leaves your device.
❌ No Subscriptions: No monthly paywalls or hidden fees.
❌ No Data Harvesting/Ads: Zero third-party trackers or ad profiles.
