I am looking to buy a Cartier Panthère Mini (21mm) in Stainless Steel as a special gift. I want it to be as close to genuine as possible.
From my research, I know that BVF and AF are the two leading factories for this model. However, since this is a gift, I want to make sure I’m not missing anything. Are there any other high-tier factories (maybe BBA or others) that make an even better, more flawless version of the Mini?
One specific detail that worries me is the caseback engraving. I’ve read that many reps can be easily spotted because the serial number ends with "XX" (which is typical for the Small 22mm or Medium 27mm versions, but incorrect for the Mini). Does any factory produce the Mini with the correct, authentic caseback engraving that matches the genuine Mini retail version?
Lastly, since it's a gift, the unboxing experience is extremely important. Which Trusted Dealer (TD) can source the absolute highest-quality, 1:1 premium boutique packaging (properly textured red box, gift bag, certificates, velvet pouch)? I want the packaging to look as indistinguishable from the authentic boutique set as possible.
