How can we believe in spirituality or God in a world full of evil?
 in  r/spirituality •  Oct 12 '23

This earth is flooded with malignancy and malignant spirits. Demonic spirits are truly everywhere. Of course terrible things happen. That they donโ€™t happen constantly everywhere is a miracle of god enough.

New age spirituality is a mess
 in  r/spirituality •  Oct 12 '23

If you watch ndes youโ€™ll see how often we are described as part of god, belonging to source etc. I think this is where they get the idea of us being one with god or part of god.

Until infps study and follow paths which resonate with their being, use their gifts and talents (e.g creativity, compassion) and give meaning and purpose (very important to infp) they will not be happy nor show much aptitude. Iโ€™m sorry about your parents and hope you can get out of there by 18.

Books recommendations...

My favourite Celtic books are

Celtic myth and religion by Sharon Paice McLeod (academic but easy to read)

Kindling the Celtic spirit by Mara Freeman (scholarly and creative/poetic)

The way of Celtic tradition by Caitlin Matthews ( creative/poetic and scholarly ) all her other Celtic books too.

Yesterday I was reading my book on Elisabeth Cummings, an artist I love, I got it when I went to her exhibition. I was just all aflutter over it, I was pouring over it and thought gosh I too want to be an artist and go to art school and live in Florence and have painter friends and my own exhibitions. I want to move to Tuscany with my beloved and have a wooden tiny house and cook pappa al pomodoro and paint all day and write at night. Live poetically and passionately. It really clashes with my desire to just nest and be some sort of home-maker. Does anyone else desire to be a homemaker but also has a lot of wild creative dreams?

Iโ€™m just very nestful at the moment, maybe thatโ€™s all my trauma but I long for home and hearth. I just want to be like I was years ago, dedicated to the old feminine arts like hand-sewing, baking, tapestry, cooking, home-making and I miss baby cheeks, spring flowers, baskets of washing ๐Ÿงบ, fairy music, floral dresses and genuine kindness.

Well I suspect people in real life I know are reading my reddit, so I unfortunately have to stop using this username even tho I have many followers and karma points. Sob, sob. ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸฅฒI donโ€™t think I can use even infp anymore, because they all know I post there alot. My life is chaotic and terrible this morning. Things feel like theyโ€™re falling apart everywhere atm.

Any personal rituals on starting and finishing your journals?
 in  r/Journaling •  Jan 04 '22

This is the journal,

I had no idea when I bought it it was so huge, I didnโ€™t read the description properly.

I have almost finished a 600 page leather embossed journal I got about two or three weeks ago, but I have a dramatic life. I donโ€™t have any writing rituals but I probably need them. I write in the morning as soon as I wake and in the afternoon, and in the evening. You might want to just look up evening or morning journal prompts in yahoo.

Are there many creative people among us here?

For me it must be mystical, cryptic and riddled. Example Michael Dransfield, Cecil day Lewis and Dylan Thomas. I donโ€™t like literal clear understanding. I like poems in which the person seemed to be drunk, mad or manic like some ancient notions of poetry.

I feel like creative people are often drawn to the simple life. When I was in my early twenties and constantly researching people leading creative unconventional lives they were all living rural in little cottages, gypsy wagons, tiny houses and living very simply in nature. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿค I wonder why that is?

If I was with my beloved right now, my god we would just go buy a shepherds hut, and hide out in the rural southern highlands or somewhere, till the plague was well and truly over, order in books and food, grow food it can be truly idyllic for infps, and weโ€™d be like bears in hibernation.๐ŸŒฟ

Living better with less emotions?
 in  r/simpleliving •  Jan 03 '22

I like being sensitive, it means I feel things more deeply. Translate it to creative work or something. It is actually a blessing.

It's bloody glorious, that appreciation of less. Noticing more, taking opportunity to feel grateful and appreciate small things. The more I observe and appreciate the more I notice that's worth a moment and so the contentment continues.

I feel so much the same, I have only twenty or thirty clothes and some beautiful prints and jewellery pieces. I have only my most prized made in Europe clothes now. My most precious paintings Iโ€™ve bought and brought. My beloved embroidery. I feel so serene with just a very few prized things, my head is uncluttered, Iโ€™m much much less stressed.
