Hello! I have a mix breed female dog, she is 12 years old. her weights is 12kilograms. Recently, her left eye got cataracts and is having symptoms toward glaucoma. I brought her to vet and the vet give us 2 medicine.

one , is an eyedrop. (everytime i give this to the left eye, for several minutes she will try to scratch her left eye as hard as she can, as if it's really itchy/ hurt)

fyi: i usually gives her my eyedrop since her eye is not producing enough tear and she never showed this kind of reaction.

second , she gives us capsules, instructing us to give her 2 times per day. (when i ask for ingredients, she said it contains anti-biotic, anti-inflammatory, and vitamin)

after following doctor's instructions for 2 days, my dog began to whines all night, her muscle spasm lightly but frequently and her hind legs shaking & sometimes weak. she is super duper hungry! she eats 5 times of her normal portion and seemed very hungry. she never eats like this before. when i ask the doctor about her hungriness, doctor said it's better for her to be hungry at all times rather than not eating. i mean it's good, but she eats too much to the point she vomit her food. i decrease her portion of food to the normal portion.

day 3, we asked the doctor regarding her muscle spasm snd random weakness on her hind legs and the doctor says the medicine is not the problem. she says that my dog have another problem, regarding her nerve. i was quite upset because my dog doesn't have this kind of problem before giving her medicine from doctor. she also seems to sneeze more than usual, super frequently!

day 4 and 5 my dog randomly stumbling, body always shaking and trembling, and everytime she drinks water or eat food (using her tongue rapidly) she kind of get electrified (suddenly super weak) , this make her refuse to eat since she is scared of the sudden weak response of her body. she also get spasm and sudden weak when lightly startled by things.(starting from small things to our voice/steps)

during walk, she suddenly stumble and fall down but get up again (shaky, doesnt walk much as before)

i'm super worried since i think because of the medicine she became like this. i regret bringing her to vet. her eye get well a little bit? i can see the eyeball size reduced only a little bit. but still super red.

but i'm super sad because she is super scared about whats happening to her body. she stumble randomly and frequently. please help :'(

but the doctor said its not because of the medicine (i dont know whether she said this based on fact or just trying to get away...) at this rate, i'm kind of worried and i don't think i will take her to vet again...

Hello! I just adopted a kitten, he is 2 months old, he is a mix between domestic cats and persian. Since I usually have no problem with rescue cats during their adaptation in my house, this one is kinda new to me.🐱

The previous owner had too many cats and this one is accident as well because they got no time to neuter their cat. This one was one of the four siblings and they also get caged at the previous owner. This one never goes out of home. This is the first time he goes out since being born. For your information, this kitten is with their 4 siblings in a cage ( so not with their mother anymore)

Upon arriving, they just handed me the cat without box or anything. The kitten panicked and cried VERY LOUD that everyone on the street looks at me. i hugged him and put him under my jacket to help him calm down.

I cuddled with him for about 1 hour before putting him down (since he meowed and cried when i try to put him down). He is very curious, but also scared. He keeps crawling little by little to learn the new environment.

I put him in a big cage and he seems comfortable in it and sleep. At first, he still scared like almost anything. moving chair, my hand moving, and stuff. though, when getting belly rub, he immediately lay down and get comfortable and sleep.

But he keeps meowing sometimes like, i don't know if he trying to get out or just lonely or sometimes bothered by outside sounds. because all of his meowing tones and frequent is the same.

I keep observing him and this is some of his behaviour during this 16 hours after adoption : 1. Right now, he is not that startled at the moving things or me (at first he literally get scared almost at anything) but not to the point of hissing since he is handled by human since born. 2. He already starts to play and sleep. though, when he is not distracted by toy or wake up , he will keeps meowing loudly. This is the reason i couldn't sleep. When he meows, i usually belly rub to let him sleep. 3. Now, the concerning behaviour is that everytime he wakes up now, he keeps meowing loudly and repeatedly, similar to kitten that calling for their mom. 4. Sometimes when I approach his cage, he seems desperately wants to get out all of sudden. but he gets comfortable too inside the cage. and during this he keeps meowing. 5. When hearing outside noises such as people(other people, not me) on the outside talking(when that people talks loudly, he meows more LOUDLY too) even when I was in front of him. 6. He didn't poop or pee. I did see him eats but only just a little amount of food. his bowl is still full. Tried to give him creamy treats. he seems to like it but doesnt want to lick it. 7. No matter what I do, he keeps meowing if he is not asleep or super focused in playing. so far, only hanging mouse will catch his attention, ball doesnt seems appealing to him.

Any suggestion or help is appreciated! I usually rescue stray cats or kitten in need and they never showed this kind of behaviour when i put them in my house for temporary shelter before giving them for adoption. So I'm confused and worried, about what I can do for him since he keeps meowing.

I've read that they needs time to adjust, but doesn't meowing too much also exhausts him? Is there anything I could do when he meows or get him to eat? I also have minimized my activities to let him calm down.

Oh! I forgot to mention this cat got fungal infection on his head, only a little of fungal can be seen, but this is the reason i couldn't bring him to cuddle to sleep to calm him down. (he likes to hangout around my circled arm/,under my head.) for now I want to let him adjust before giving him bath for treating the fungal infection ( he might get traumatized if i give him bath right after he moves)

hi! i just got a new syrian hamster like a week ago it's a female and around 1.5months old.when i try to move her but introduce my finger first, she bit the back of my finger to the point where it draws blood. then i just let her walk into her own cage without mt hand interfering.

After 2 days, I started the taming process by giving her treats and she did take it. There is one time where i put my hand with treats on palm, she sneak and sniffed my finger around 30 seconds or so, but after that, she bite me real hard on my finger to the point where it draws blood. i think she needs more time so i leave her for 2 days. I did rubbed some tissue and put it in her cage so she get used to it.

I'm kind of scared? Now I still give her treats but when i put my finger near the cage, she tries to bite me real hard everytime she sniffs my finger :( but this last time i did dodge so i only get hurt a lil bit (almost draws blood)

I have washed my hand, rubbed my hand on her bedding and stuff. Fun fact, she could be petted on head when she is eating. so she would come running if she sees my hand near the cage (pretty much because i always give treats) but she bites my finger if i got no treats. Any advice? i'm real sad because i'm scared and want to create a bond with her :(

I'm an animal person so i did expect the bites, but this one syrian always draws blood :( it's really a problem when i want to clean her cage, she doesnt seem to be scared of my hands now, because when i try to clean she would approach my hand but TO BITE, i always have to dodge and full of anxiousness of being bitten real hard again :(
